I've searched, but can't seem to find the stock ICS Samsung Music app as a stand alone... I've even DL'd the Wanam SamsungApps package, but it doesn't seem to include the music player.
I'm running CM9 nightly, and I know the sentiment is that the stock samsung music player is junk, but it is the only one that displays track info on my car screen via bluetooth (Infiniti G37 with Nav).
Is there some way I can extract it from a stock rom, or is there another music app that anyone is using that sends track info over bluetooth?
Thanks a bunch,

Stock music app is in stock roms unless the dev changed it or removed it .

thought so
so there is really no point in the op downloading another samsung rom to extract the music apk as it wont work with their cm9 rom they are using
Correct. Samsung apps = Samsung framework. CM9 = AOSP framework.

I tried a rom that had a certain music player (stock for its system I think) where the lists and widget appeared as a little CD case. Do you know which ROM is it? and also Do you know what's the name of this player so I can look it up in other ROMs?
Also is there a way I could just install this on my current system?

It's a hell of a music player that one, alright!
I believe someone has modded it to work with any 2.1+ ROM, don't remember where, some googling should do it!
Both these applications should suffice...2.1 only....Gingerbread theme pushed using xrecovery, honeycombe theme can be placed in system apps with permissions set and its good to go....
Thanks it worked alright, don't you have it in english though?

By Theme I think you mean the launcher? Right? As for the music player, you can easily obtain the apk from system apps on a rooted Samsung ROM. You can simply download a stock Samsung ROM that you like, extract and steal the apks! Lock screen... Not too sure, it may be a system app? If not Go Locker and apps like that have themes and are a lot more customisable for a ROM! I was interested in making a ROM too, so let me know if you do ^_^

Samsung "apps" require twframework to run ..It's proprietary so it cant be ported..
Try using theming apps ,e.g,golauncher + touchwiz theme, miui music player with Samsung look... And I think there is touchwiz lookalike notification panel somewhere in themes section ...
There are also two "touchwiz" roms in dev section ,check them out and ask the Rom author or team up with him ...

Thats your choice...
You will get more peeps with stock Ics/gb base ..since they are compatible with both bootloaders...

If you're running ICS 4.0.4, go back to gb or move forward to jb asap.
If you want to know why, search on xda for emmc brickbug.....
In the meantime, don't do ANY data wiping of any sort......

eMMC Chip report :-
Typ : VIS00M
Brick Bug? No. Sane Chip.
This report is good or bad?
Well that would appear to be better news than for my chip (unknown) but I would still be cautious/careful about wiping data.....the last thing you want is an unrecoverable brick turning your phone into an expensive paperweight. ......

Afaik.....installing apps from an older OS onto a newer OS will cause system instability....which could manifest itself as anything from app force closes up to and including forced system shutdown and bootloops.....
Probably best to look for a 3rd party app that meets your requirements. ...

I can understand the the risk and I take the risk. If any possile then pls give me the guide how can I install Samsung Galaxy S2 Gingerbread Root Music Player in Jelly Bean? If is it possible then pls guide me.
Thank you.
As far is I know, the method would be to download the entire gb firmware, extract the app, copy and paste app into 'system>> apps', fix permissions and reboot.....
I would REALLY advise against it though.......
There is a VERY HIGH liklihood of system instability afterwards which won't disappear until the app is uninstalled........
Aaaaand.....if your current OS is a stock firmware, you'll also need a matching 'odex' file.......and I'm not sure how that file is created.........

Greetings my friend long time now buddy, when copying a framework dependant apk there will also be possible associated lib files most of the time which will be needed, and no need to worry about .odex file generation, if it is not generated by the installer then the it would be generated by the dalvik virtual machine at boot(remember android is upgrading thingy which happens whenever you copy an apk into system partition) or you can use the system cleaner app to manually generate odex files.
P. S The above post should give you an idea about why we wipe dalvik cache and why android is upgrading notification comes after wiping it.

Lol, nobody said that it won't work, and most of us call these modded apks ports because of that, because it's made compatible for a different OS version or framework or even device's, we were just considering the fact whether the original Samsung signed apk would work directly. Because sometimes no modification is necessary to make an old app work.

Try using the Viper4Android mod it has a lot of functions and basically any music lover would be drooling over the several audio customization options available. It's so advanced that it's capable of using IR files for enhanced music experience. This is a really great work around unless you're adamant on the music player.

Bass is more vibrant without the clipping....even at max volume.

I have to go into the actual app info, either force close it then delete app data. Can anyone help me with this issue if not send me an extremely stable version of it. Is it just that the framework that it needs? Because i had the same issue with an app based off of Apollo, i think everyone is familiar with Now Playing? Please help me if possible!!!! I just love Apollo and no other music app is just as good.(My own opinion) Please reply!!!! I Have a Verizon Galaxy s3 running stock Touchwiz 4.1.2.
