Is it possible to undervolt the legend to save battery? I already tried voltage control and proton but nothing works or i dont know if the voltage was set correctly?

Try underclocking with SETCPU (app found in xda forums)

Underclocking is no problem. I can use the built-in option in cyanogenmod to underclock. But is there any way to undervolt the cpu? Because i want to have the same frequenzy with lower energy use ;-).

It is not possible to undervolt CPU
Because of the kernel?

Not sure, I don't think you can do it with the Legend in General, never heard of it before either.
Plus if you wish to save the Legend's battery life (not an issue for me though) there are other ways to do it and it isn't so complicated.

Anyone using an overclock app? Any good suggestions?
You need an oveclockable kernel with high freq in the freq table so all you will be able to do a the moment is change the governor and underclock, but to answer you question SetCPU is generally regarded as the best

yet another reason we need that damn source code! code on dell!!
Hi guys.
I'm gonna try to explain this as good as I can.
I have bought SetCPU on android market after I rooted.
I have heard that it is possible to underclock and overclock, but I can only underclock! Why can't I overclock?
Help? Thank you.

Not too familiar with our, but I am pretty certain overclock needs custom kernel.
Out of luck with the x10 atm.

So its not possible to overclock X10i?

I flashed and rooted with 024 from the dev forum and I can used SetCPU just fine. You have Superuser Permission installed yeah? You need that so that it can give SetCPU root access. Another thing, if the CPU clock sliders are stuck pressing "Automatically Detect CPU" (or whatever its called) will reset the settings, I have it on "powersave" and have both sliders set to "998400"
It works for cpu throttling but not for overclocking.

Oh yeah... not sure if you know or knew but setcpu is free on xda

I believe you have to have FULL root before you "overclock" the cpu. I had setcpu installed for a couple of months when i was rooted on 024 FW and honestly did not notice any difference what so ever.

Can I use performance setting or only conservative
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Stick to conservative ONLY...anything else causes problems..
Will it ever be able to use on demand on a stock kernel? Without flashing anything

So i really want my phone to run a little bit faster and smoother. My processor has never been over clocked so it should be good. What are some tweaks or things to try with CPU and stuff like that

You can install a custom ROM, that allows you to change memory sizes? Also the only cool thing you can do with the CPU is over clock and under clock when needed. Use setcpu for overclocking after you root your phone. Or if you have a custom ROM that has the setting built in, use those. And always use the right amount of speed and voltage.

Well I've had my phone rooted for quite a while I'm just wandering if anyone has any particular tweaks like memory what to over clock it to stuff like that
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
Setcpu is over clocking app I use. It also comes with many different settings for it and schedules for your processor to be clocked on. I don't know of any apps that would even let you change memory sizes? You usually have to get a specific kernel and custom ROM to directly customize memory type. Hope that helps

Well I'm usually on devil kernel. But is there a specific voltage you would recommend over clocking to?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
I can't remember the voltages of the phone, but I believe a good voltage would be around 1350mv. Running the processor close to max, but under enough so the phone doesn't heat up, or start lagging.

I think I found the solution to my battery issue the problem is I've searched hours on how to do this but failed I came across this thread saying using system tuner to undervolt greatly increases battery life well I installed the app but no option to under volt but I set my max CPU to like 500 something is that the same as undervolting?

you need a custom kernel.
OK so I need to flash my faux kernel thanks
