More often than not I have to go into app manager and manually force close apps because they are stuck on a black screen and just freeze that way. Also, busybody pro won't install when I try to install it in the normal fashion but when I download busybody installer app it installs super fast. There a reason for that?

Sent from my MB870 using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk
You will have both su and supersu. Just get supersu from the market it is free. Supersu seems to do most the work after you install it. Acts the same as su but it helps with the freezing apps on cm7. It also will allow you to update binary in the supersu.

So you are running both Supersu and Superuser? When I tried Supersu out, I ran both and still had issues, then I removed Superuser (not an easy process) and still had issues. I just created a script that will allow me to kill the offending process. Then I can go in and restart the app and it works just fine. Usually I only have to do that after a reboot.

Yes I have both on my phone? Is that bad? I trust you moon shadow. I usually have to go to manage apps and forceclose app and then it usually opens with no problems. Should I ditch the supersu? Also curious to the script you made. I am glad you will still have the x2 for a while unless you get tired of it and buy another phone. I know I have been watching for good deals in used nexus. Kinda sad around here with not much happening anymore. The x2 community is a great group. I have been on bionic forums for my wife. And I can say x2 community are always there to help and very friendly. I wish I could say the same for the other device forums.

Honestly, I ditched Supersu when I reflashed my phone. (I had problems with some mods I did that hosed it and all of my nandroids were bad.) It's a pretty simple bash script. And, yes, I'm around until JUN2013...

This glitch is the only thing I dislike about CM7, but I think I figured out a pretty good solution to the issue. Under settings, then applications, then development there is a box for "long press back key to kill app". If the app is not opening, simply holding in the back key for a second kills it.
The only apps I have this issue with is netflix and boat browser. My root apps all work fine.

Very sure I am rooted ( Ti Backup works just fine and I can use su in terminal). I have even uninstalled adfree and reinstalled with no luck. Hell, I even tried replacing the hosts file manually with a list that's kicking around on the forums. Still nothing. Just for ****s and giggles, I am re-downloading it right now. Its been a few weeks, maybe it'll work
No dice. Symlink is unchecked. Cleaning the cache now and will try again.
edit: still no luck. To be honest, its only my weathereye app that I'd really like to see the ads disappear from. I'd like to tear apart the apk and find the source of the problem, but I have never attempted something like that !
Guys I badly need help with this!
For those that got this to work what did you use? (Which Root method, and anything special done inside the app? I do have Symlink unchecked)
Specifically any Bell Users, how did you guys get this working? HELP!...

I'm completely rooted, and have done this exactly like I have on my Milestone and SGS.
Is there a way to get this going manually, since this app doesn't appear to work on the (Bell) Atrix?... Thanks!
Didn't you already post this in another thread ??
It's weird, when I installed GreyBlur when I first got my phone, the adblocking built in to it worked and I never saw any ads anywhere (It does the same thing as adFree I believe, so it's comparable...) but then a little later I reverted to a backup for some reason, so no adblocking naturally. And when I installed GB3.5 (now I'm on 4.5) I haven't been able to block ads at all since, either with just GB or with AdFree.
Until yesterday ADFREE was blocking all ads. After the upgrade stopped. The ads are appearing as if nothing block then.
This occurs in both wifi and 3G (Tim - Brazil)
Any solution ?
Tks !!
Edit:
I managed to make it work:
- Uninstall, reboot and install again
- Clear data from applications that have ads
- Restart if necessary
work that way here.

Would appreciate help here please.

For some reason when downloading an app from the Market, the app will keep re-downloading if i exit the Market. The only way i can download anything is to keep the market open to allow it to fully download and install.
Anyone else have this issue? is it because of the V6 supercharger script?
I do not use a task killer at all.
Happens constantly. Extremely annoying. I also can't download and install .apks directly from my phone no matter what. The ONLY way I can do it is by connecting to my computer. Then that creates a new USB issue all together.

You can't install .apks from your phone's SDCard because you have "Unknown Sources" unchecked in your application settings menu.
I also have the problem where quitting the market application will cancel downloads, but it doesn't do that whenever I "minimize" it, if you will, only whenever I force quit it.
Is this what you're talking about or am I misunderstanding?
I believe it's from minimizing it as well. Also unknown sources is selected on my device I believe the only reason I've had any lock ups in installing .asks is due to an occasional glitch in Dolphin, also how does one properly minimize an application?

Issues with downloading apks
I've had some issues with unsuccessful downloads of apks. I've been tweaking 7 different x2 and the issues seem completely random. I've saved all the apks to a folder on the comp, so now I just drag and drop them in. Installing hasn't been a problem though. I was wondering if I should try the new market update or stick with what I have. Haven't really noticed an issue with it, on any of them.

What is it? Okay, well kenjesse put it best with this description : " Pdroid is an app that lets you modify permissions app by app with out breaking them. You also have the option of "spoofing" the permissions by sending randomly generate data rather than your phones actual sim, meid, phone #, etc.
As the app does not need to run constantly in the back ground it has virtually no impact on battery.

Just got done installing this and it seems to be working great. I'm running CM7 with no special tweaks other than Moon Shadows wifi fix, following instructions from op here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357056
this is what I did:
1. DL Pdroid Patcher zip to PC (Win7 in my case)
2. Extract Pdroid Patcher exe file and run
3. Browse to update-cm-7.2.0.-RCO-daytona-KANG-public-beta1.zip (cm7 ROM) and select.
4. Click "Patch" (program takes about 2 minutes to create required patch zip file as well as restore file if you choose to uninstall Pdroid later)
5. copy the 2 created zip files (PDroid-v1.31-update-cm-7.2.0-RCO-daytona-KANG-public-beta1.zip & PDroid-RESTORE-update-cm-7.2.0-RCO-daytona-KANG-public-beta1.zip) to your external SD Card
6. Boot in our BSR BACKUP...BACKUP DO A NANDROID BACKUP!!!!
7. Flash the PDroid zip file
8. I did not wipe anything as it is not stated to do so in the OP install instruction... I did flash cm7 reRecovery before I rebooted just to be safe.
9. Reboot your phone, go to market and install Pdroid.
I tested by removing several permissions for my Fox News app which doing thru cm7 causes the app to break, using PDroid the app still worked. Not sure how to test beyond that.
I did notice that the reboot stayed on the cm7 animation for a while before the phone came back up as if a dalvik wipe had been done.
Hope this helps and if you break it it's your fault not mine and remember...BACKUP

Beautifully put. Hey, I would update the op title but it's not letting me from the mobile app. I will later when I'm on my laptop.
Hey, how did you spoof the permissions? Don't see that option within the settings. I just see symbols without descriptions (gear, bar graph, check, ect...)?
Just to add, I don't know if it's just in my head or not but I feel like my phone is moving way faster After changing all the permissions that I did.
........and last, I'm going to post the patch zip file for cm7 dx2 when I get home so all anyone needs to do is flash it and download pdroid from the market (Google play (stupid name)....whatever). Okay all done.

Gear= set the spoof value
Slashed Circle= block
And then there is a check box in the top right corner to enable notifications for just that app.

So please help me clarify what setting should I set the apps to? Also do I need to do them one at a time or can I do it by batch?
Okay, what I have been doing is blocking ALL permissions for any given app and then trying to run it. I then look for any error messages and go back and enable only those specific permissions to allow the app to function properly. You'll get a system once you use it a bit. .....and unfortunately there is no batch function. It is a very cool app though once you play with it and definitely enable the function where you can see it blocking and granting permissions. It's pretty cool!

Flashing The update zip makes the required changes for the app Pdroid that you get from the market to run properly with the cm7 ROM. IT WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU ARE ON CM7. If you later uninstall Pdroid you flash the restore zip to remove the changes made by the update zip.
I believe it is done this way so the app can work without root permission and therefore doesn't have to run in the background....I could be wrong though and as with any mod you should go to the linked thread above and research it for yourself.

Ok so, I am running Liquid Gingersense. I have the new combo radio installed. I am using 4ext.
So today I am playing on the play store (PC version). I saw an app my wife DL. I wanted the app too. The play store said that the app is not compatible with my unlocked TB but it is ok on my wife’s stock TB. Why? There is also a post:

This guy is saying that a game has shut down on him because he was rooted. Don’t know if there a tie between or it is just a coincidence. But why is an app ok to use on a stock TB but not a rooted TB?
Here is the app I was using:

Wait a little while. I think the Play Store caches information and takes a bit to forget or to force a re-check.
Check what the device profile and name are in the build prop.

Thanks for your guys help with this. I Just ended up flashing to the ODJDub's ROM. Everything is showing back in the play store. I am not sure as to what happened. Maybe a glitch in the Matrix lol. I did clear the caches and even went as far as installing an old market.apk. But Flashing to the new ROM seemed to fix it. It was not that I wanted the app from the store so much as to finding out that I was being restricted from the apps themselves. I do understand that the app store is device/carrier specific. But it shoild not have made a difference from a stock TB to a rooted TB. That was more the point I was psuhing. I did not nor do I ever like having the restriction placed againt my device. Is that not the reason why we aquire S-off?
I'm certain there was something in your build.prop that IDs your phone to the Market that was blocking this. Knowing your phone is rooted or not, I don't believe, can be checked beforehand. Now, once the app starts installing, it could check. Another scenario that I'm 100% certain of is when the app tries to run for the first time, it can check for root access and at that point, it can run or not run (and warn the user).
The Market can be finicky. My wife's phone runs Skyraider Zeus on her Thunderbolt and has for many, many months. Last week, apps that she has ran in the past now don't appear in the Market. Rest assured, she changed NOTHING in her build.prop file. I login on the PC and she has (2) phones listed, one is "HTC Thunderbolt" and the other is "ADR6400L". The ADR6400L is what the Market thinks is current and apps aren't compatible with that phone because they effectively don't know what it is...
I had issues with the market running skyraider and ikream. Themed markets will cause incompatibility problems sometimes. Maybe try getting LCD density modder pro and use their modded market.
