a little searching, I mean just the most minuscule effort would have taken you to something called USSD codes... try googling that

That's a S5830.
GT-S5830 Qualcomm HSDPA
Noob help, very please, and sorry for the stupid question. I bought GT-S5830 in Australia, factory unlocked. Want to use it in the U.S. with AT&T SIM 3G. All I get now is EDGE.
Does the info below mean I need a different CHIP/Phone to get S5830L or is there a setting I can change somewhere under a *#*# code to get this so I can use 3G (since I THINK AT&T requires S5830L: HSDPA 850 / 1900 to get 3G)?

You cannot change the radios on your phone, so if you're sure you have the HSDPA 900 / 2100 version there really isn't anything you can do to get AT&T HSDPA 850 / 1900.

Does official Gingerbread work on the Optimus T

HI~ My phone is the U.S version Optimus T, so if I flash the Russian official GB rom, Can I use 3G network?
LG Optimus T:
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSDPA 1700 / 2100

LG Optimus One:

I'm confused. I know the frequencies, but what I heard was 3G wouldn't work on some countries after flashing the Russian rom.

[Q]Multi-Country Usage?

hey,
I've been looking at this phone and it looks amazing. The feature that's most appealing to me is the 2g/3g network, accd. to gsmarena:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 1700 / 2100 or HSDPA 1700 / 1900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
I'm currently in the States and intend on using it here, but might be in Korea in the near future and don't want to have to buy 2 phones. Long question short: could I use this phone in S. Korea?
thanks
Depends on what bands are being used by the company you wish to use it on, check the bands of that company, make sure the company is a GSM company, then check the info against the info you obtained from gsmarena, if they match up, then you have your answer.

Would korean version works for europe (4g)?

Have you guys ever bought a korean phone? Does it work in europe regarding 4g?
Thxx for helping
Sure as long as you are happy with the Bands it supports, which I understand is for the F600 variant (which I can get in Oz for about A$1,100):
2G GSM: 900 / 850 / 1800 / 1900 MHz
3G WCDMA: 2100 / 1900 / 850 MHz (Band: 1 / 2 / 5)
4G LTE: 2100 / 1800 / 850 / 2600 / 900 MHz ( Band: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 /8)
I'm not keen on this variant due to some missing bands for our region.
