Its NOT about which is best, It is a sort of behavioral survey, I was just thinking of ROMs I've flashed on my phone and used for atleast a day or two (yes there are some which didn't last even an hour ). It would be interesting to know which ROMs you've ever flashed which lasted for atleast one day?
I flash about 2 a week mate

These are the main ones....once you've tried the cyanogen you cannot leave it anymore...
If there is a ROM that I like I test it very well before switching to another ROM...this is my philosophy...
I'm very glad to have this mobile phone...a great gym for understanding the android world and its power......amazing work of the xda community!

should i do wipe delete and all that or just update over it?
The RC1 is actually a couple months old now and was based on Android 2.3.4. The latest nightlies are based on Android 2.3.5. Since it's a different version of Android, it requires a full wipe to upgrade.
what is the different between mad rom and cyanogenmod 7.2?

LOL!!
The mean difference is that MadRom is based on Android 2.2 (Froyo) - the last version is v2.5 and is Android 2.2.2, while the "stable" is the MadTeam 2.0.9; CyanogenMod7 is based on Android 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) - last version is v1.9 hotfix 3.
Generally speaking the CyanogenMod gives you more speed and reactivity, while MadRom is more stable..
Go for CyanogenMOD if you want speed, added functionality, good performance in games, etc.,
Go for MADROM if you want the simplicity and stability of a stock ROM..
Why no developer working on Joy OS or MIUI Rom based on Gingerbread 2.3.7 since Android 4.0 based roms still not fully working due absence of drivers.
I think Joy OS or MIUI Rom based on Gingerbread 2.3.7 is the best option till Android 4.0 gets all the drivers to work smoothly.
Here are some links which may help in the development--

i would love to have a rom like joyos too...

Check the joyos rom for the x8. You should get the idea;-)

Hi,
I have been searching high and low for a custom ROM based on Android 4, which will run on my Galaxy Ace S5830i but can't find any.
All the ROMs I've come accross so far are based on Gingerbread, and simply themed to look like Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean. For example, JellyBlast 3.0.5 is based on Gingerbread and themed to look like Jelly Bean, so are Simplicity v4, MindCr ROM 2.7, Excalibur 4.5, and all the others I've found.
So my question is this: Are there any custom ROMs available for the Galaxy Ace S5830i which are actually based on Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean, or are they all based on Gingerbread and simply themed to look like Android 4?
Thanks for your help!

Pls. use Q&A thread for ace i for your questions......
At most, an alpha version of Cyanogenmod based on ICS... But its not the fault of developers, but the manufacturer instead, for not releasing drivers for the components... I'm not completely blaming Samsung, but Broadcom... Without drivers, any progress is really slow...

I've heard that MIUI and Jokersax's CM9 ROMs are the most stable - do you agree? Would you advance another ROM as the most stable? (preferably JB or ICS, obvs )
