I have used z4root and got root access. I wanted to know if I need to keep z4root installed or if I can remove it.

Once you gain root I'm sure you can delete it. And for future reference you may want to post questions in the general section to avoid getting flamed. Happy flashing :-D

Thanks I hope to hear some more responses, as I want to be 100% sure.
Yes you can delete it once you are rooted. I've used Z4root several times now and have removed the app every time.

You can delete it if you want but it isnt in the Market anymore. Google told those guys (also Ryans OCLF dont have the root part in it any longer) take them down.
But you can get the .apk HERE or HERE
I also found the update.zip root on the cyanogenmod wiki web site under vibrant. So if u ever need to reroot and can't find anything u can use that method.

That will only work with the 2e and modified 3e recovery, but not the real 3e. You will need the Super One Click root application for that.

New user should not mean you cannot search and are unable to navigate to the G forum .

no need to be like that to a user with 2 posts. At Least he posted in Q&A and not development

Hi, I bought my Samsung Galaxy Ace s5830, and I've updated software from 2.2 to 2.3.5 using Odin, is it possible to get back to the original version 2.2? I bought this phone in UK.

You can found a firmware-collection here
Just choose a "2.2.1 Froyo" Version of your region...Good luck
But next time you should post in the general section.
Download your required firmware from sammobile.com.
Put your phone into download mode, open Odin, and flash the downloaded file.
If you still don't get it, please visit this great site- androidadvices.com and go to galaxy ace section.

i think we should ask a mod to automatically ban their IPs to clean XDA from these kind of threads..getting very annoyed to this kind of people..

Wrong section, so I'm closing this thread. About banning: you should remember that you have been noobs too. We shouldn't punish newcomers. They came here to find help, just like we one day. Help instead of punishment.
Imagine the situation that mods bans for every noob question - this forum would be empty. That's not our goal.

-Download stock ICS v4.0.3 firmware from sammobile.com
-Install via Odin.
-Install custom kernel. / use this method
ROOTED.
Have you even bothered searching? Theres an exact same post regarding rooting and upgrading GB to ICS in the newbies thread today itself. Here. and a dozen more results that show up if you only search. If you have difficulty understanding some term, or some steps, chances are someone else has had the very same doubt and asked and had it solved. If you cant find that, ask. People will help. But do try yourself first eh?
Theres also another exact post he made about the same thing.
Im asking many times cz im new at this

My problem is that nothing is working with my samsung i tried alot of ways to root it

The information is all there you just have to search for it.
Just a tip...... Opening numerous threads about topics that have been discussed a million times isn't the best thing to do, it will annoy people.
Good luck, the truth is out there.
