So I want to install the CM7 RC1 rom for my p500 with the new baseband. I know the developers havent been releasing much lately to fix bugs so if the original rc1 isnt the best, then what is? Also I heard of adam releasing camera fix's for cm7 so is that the only main bug with this rom? Links would be nice. I just want to know where to start to getting a close to bug free CM7 on my p500. THANKS. Sorry for being a noob.

The 7.2 RC1 IS the best CM7 so far.
Adam's KANG changes were merged into it, if I remember correctly.
Meanwhile, you could flash trettet's camera fix for your trouble. There's also an non-headset mic fix floating around (Both for RC1).

I use cm7 nightly #34 by adfad and it works like a charm for me, its my main backup
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA
I don't like CM nightlies and RC1 because the default exposure in camera even after applying patch, is too low, so, I use N2 by adfad, which gives me cam quality better than stock ROM
Can anyone confirm if adams fix's were included in rc1? Or if you need to install them seperately.

I'm not sure what camera comes with them but I know Simply Honey 3.8 has a ffc.apk you could try to push that one and see if it werks for ya. Good luck!
To get ffc working, you need to push a few .so libs from the galaxy s CM7. It is explained in the CM7 FAQs

hello everyone I am new in xda and I used almost all rom everything is just great but I am not satisfied with camera app can anyone please upload stock camera flashable zip I know there are many dev who can do this if anyone do it I am very thankful .....
It is not possible, because the libraries of the LG camera stock are not compatible with CM7.
Use lgCamera, search in the market, is the best option to replace the crappy camera of CM7
Even for photographs, the app Camera360 is the best of all

There is no free lunch. As already mentioned the stock app is not compatible with CM.
a. Stick with froyo roms for stock camera app.
b. If you want gingerbread then learn to live with CM app or other third party apps.

I was thinking of switching from checkrom to cyanogenmod, because its an aosp rom. Hows the general stability of cyanogenmod in the galaxy sII? Is the camera app perfect? I wanna know about stability and battery life too.. thanks.

I used to use CM7 but the devs sort of left it to work on CM9, which by the way is going to be awesome.
When is cm9 going to come out?the stable version I mean?

I've been using the Unofficial builds (link) of CM7 for a couple of weeks and had no problems. It has never crashed for me (some users have reported that it sometimes can crash when using the market). The camera app works with no problems, but the stock Android camera app don't have as many features as the Samsung camera app (I don't really care since I use a camera app from the market). The battery life is really good in my opinion. It definitely gets me through a day of normal usage, though it depends on how much you're using your phone.
And all the apps from the market work just fine?
Sent from my GT-P7500 using XDA App
i use cm7 b4 , the performance is awesome and stable
Choose the latest nightlies, they're 7.2 RC's. They're more stable than the stable release which in the end became a 7.1 RC, not to mention more features, etc...
The latest Buildbot official build is #116 on the Cyanogen Mirror Network. Codeworkx posted #117 on his blog here: http://codeworkx.de/wordpress/2011/12/17/cyanogenmod-7-12172011-galaxys2/
There are various unofficial builds, etc... but I haven't used any of them in a long time. There were some useful changes after #117 that the unofficial builds would have. None of them (that I can recall) critical to core functions however.

Yup all apps work fine for me
It has no HW accelleration
I was wondering if anybody could tell me about a cm7 rom that doesn't have sods and if the proximity sensor works for them during calls. Thanks ahead of time.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
I have absolutely no sod nor proximity sensor issues. Cm7 rc2 with stock kernel and no over/under clock nor build.prop edits. Only editing I have done is using rom toolbox to stop some processes from starting on boot or running constantly. Only have one widget that always updates and my weather in notification bar that updates every 15m.
Try neutrino's rom... Its the best cm7 rom...

There is an official stable Cm7.2 on the cm website. You could give it a try.:good:
