Hi Folks
Just informing you that Official Build 7.10.8858.136 (Windows Phone 7.8) is available on Zune for the HTC Mozart ...
1. At least in Australia
2. My phone is Telstra branded, not sure about other branded phones.
In my case, I had to force update the phone in Zune using the 'pull network connection' method.

Sorry, I don't know how to take screenshots of the update process. However, the following website was very helpful:

Hope it's useful for you.

My Australian Telstra branded Mozart notified me of the update yesterday, and it installed without problem.

OH, i'm really happy for this!
For the forced update, do i have to turn on the airplane mode or only to close wifi and data connection?
Thank you
I've bought a Mozart with a custom 7.8 ROM I don't know anything about this phone
when I try update it hangs on step 7 making backup and then fails. Can someone tell me how to make this work or put the stock ROM on it.
Thanks

why you would want a stock rom when custom is allways better? you can install your owns xap's and you dont have the carrier limits.
if you dont like somehow the rom in your phone then just simply install some other (e.g. dynamics 2.0 - its the same 7.10.8858.136. as the newest 7.8 update).

How do I know what ROM is on there now.
And I agree I've put ROMs on android hundreds of times but never wp7

Lots of new custom ROMS have had the same 7.8 update few months already.
you can see the rom name under "about phone".
Anyone from Malaysia got the update without forcing?
TQ
Only found one issue with the 7.8 update other than the lag issue launching off homescreen which is on both my phones that updated to 7.8.
720p video is most of the time ridiculously laggy... 1 out of 5 times trying to capture 720p it will be smooth but most of the time it runs at 2fps...
The irony? One of the reasons I swapped to the mozart was for the camera?
Anyone else have this issue? Will restoring to 7.5 through zune work?
And with the update, my telstra mozart connected to zune would not update until my partner and I swapped phones and reset them. The zune updated the mozart...

Hi! Maybe i can help!
There is a known bug with the Mozart capabilitie to shoot 720p. If you start recording a 720p movie in a very shinny with plenty of light environment you will a lot of lag on that! But if you record a 720p movie in dark conditions that wont happen. Try recording on 720p in a lighty environment, but before snapping the start button, cover the Mozart len with your finger and then start recording, after 2 seconds take out the finger to record what you want!
That happens with me, and im still on 7.5 (ultrashot rom), and will be here for a long time (super stable).
Only update by forcing zune.
And what about SVK/CZK? I still wait, try forced and still nothing

Pointless to pay £15 you can get the best dongle for about £25.
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Infinity-Best-Dongle-BB5-Best-dongle/1005210_1443859235.html
Most it is worth is about £5 and that is only if the person doing it knows exactly what they are doing and can do what you want without that hassle where you have to phone Microsoft.
So try use Infinity with it. Good luck

Hello Guys. I just purchased my Mate 10 Pro but it's running on retail Demo.
I tried to remove the app by disabling the retail demo app as administrator and Unistall it but it failed.
I also tried installing the firmware which I got from getdroidtips. After creating the dload folder in the internal storage I moved the update.zip to it and shut down my phone. I pressed both volume buttons and the power button. It started flashing the firmware but after 5% it tells me that it failed.
Any other ideas guys?
You need to rebrand the phone. Your phone is demo branding, so without rebranding it will remain demo.
See this thread:

Do you have any other solution that isn't connected with paying? Not everyone has PayPal and this is like advertising to force you to pay.

There is only one solution for rebranding the Mate 10 at this time, and it isn't free. The only other thing I can think of would be getting the bootloader unlock code, rooting the phone, and trying to remove/disable anything demo-related, but you'd end up with a severely butchered phone. How did you end up buying a demo model anyway?

I bought it over the internet cheap. Of course I was suspicious but when I got the phone it came out that it was a real one. Only the demo software makes it unusable.
I need to open an PayPal account in order to do that.
I have some questions. How do I get the bootloader code?
I don't use Windows but Mac. Do I need windows 7 at all because my phone is recognized by ADB on Mac and I can give every command from there too.
After I open up my bootloader will it be again locked after the procedure? And the last one is do I receive OTA/security Uptades when I am done with everything?
Sorry for such many questions and thank you in advance for your help.

Where did you buy it? For how much? Let me know how to get a cheap one too! I need more test devices. I don't care if it's demo branding.
You'll need something like Parallels/VMWare on your Mac to install Windows to do the procedure.
You can get the bootloader code from Huawei, but I think they're unlikely to let you get it for demo units.
If you check the thread linked to above, you can find the tool/method which doesn't require you to unlock your bootloader, in case you're not able to get the code. But it will require Windows, and it's not exactly easy. Still, you only need to do it once. Afterwards, yes, you can get OTA updates, but they might not be pushed out very quickly by Huawei, based on experience with the Mate 9 series.
Anyway, if you're going to be using FunkyHuawei, it's probably best to continue the conversation in the FunkyHuawei support thread.

Hello,
So i bought a few weeks ago a Honor 10 for half the price because it's on demo mode, i can't use password/fingerprint and such, can't register contact they auto-delete, etc...
I tried everything like going in developper mode and disable demo etc... but still nothing.
I need to change ROM to use it normally, but the bootloader is locked. I tried to use the XDA thread to get a code but for now i didn't recieve one, is there anything i can do to change ROM without unlock BL ? Or any unofficial way to unlock BL ? Thanks

No US or Canadian version can be bootloader unlocked. Period. It has been the case for many years now. It will never change.
I have similar questions, first is worth the upgrade price? Cause I'm with the s22 ultra and the only thing that I was able to get unlocked is the network by going to t-mobile on Twitter and asking saying that I was going on vacation and would like to use a local sim card due to in Brazil i.e they use other sim card but a network unlock is not the same as a bootloader U/L
Was about to say that

coming from an S22U myself, if you trade in your S22U I would say it's worth it. If you are just going to buy it out right with no trade in, I would say not worth it. S23U is a 20-30% upgraded S22U in my opinion. S23U is a great device but don't expect to be blown away. At the end of the day your S22U will do most of the same things that the S23U will do.
Thanks, the reason I've asked is because s22 ultra in the USA is not possible to gain root due to the bootloader not being able to unlock
