The issue I'm facing is that there is that I'm unable to delete this 'Unknown' contact from black list as shown in the screen shot below. I'll cut straight to the point what happened was that I received a call from someone and while my phone rang the caller showed up as 'Unknown' (most probably a private number) and I didn't bother to answer and let it be a missed call. Following the missed call, I went to settings > call > call rejection > black list and I saw this weird contact named 'Unknown' prematurely added to the list. I tried to remove it from the list but it wasn't an option. I then proceeded to add a contact who was already on my phone into the black list and removed it from the black list with ease like how it should work. However, the contact 'Unknown' was added to the black list automatically (I supposed the phone system added it when I received the call) and now I'm unable to remove it from the black list. Any idea how can i resolve this issue?

This is an app I have been working on for awhile now. I would appreciate it if people would test it out and let me know how it works. I'm linking the free version of course. Basically this is an app to create dialing extensions (ie. you're calling customer care and you always have to enter 1 for english, then enter the last four of your social, your phone number or bank number whatever).
Start with adding a name and number. Next step is dialing steps. Add waits, pauses and numbers. App shows everything you add in a visual listview. You can edit, delete or change the steps as you see fit. When building the extensions you can call out with the extensions you already have to make sure they are working and populate the next steps. The free version does have ads and only allows you to add two entries. Exporting to contacts is only in the paid version but you can easily call from the free version.
I'm looking for people to test it out and offer some advise and let me know how it works, thanks.

?
I just want the messages to show up since the contacts name is already at the top of the page.
i'm the same way; i just want their name. i don't need to see their number. as far as i can tell, there's NOTHING that can do this. i wanna start using stock more because gosms is becomng riddled with bloatware and handcents been for a while, so i'm sick of that stuff
The phone number seems to only show if you have an email addy in that contact. I don't for most of mine and all I see for them is their name, but the ones that do have an email in there show the phone number.
It does still show the name but I think that's a good thing, makes it easier to not send a msg to the wrong person. Then you might have to post in that "embarrassing things" thread!
yeah but their name is already at the top of the screen, i don't need to see their name and number on every line.
Hi Zettlers,
I just had an incoming caller with hidden id and noticed a Bug after hanging up the Phone.
The call was still in the notification bar and was undeletable. Also the time was still counting. I even switched to plane Mode to make sure the call is really hang up but it was still counting.
After a reboot the notification was gone.
Anionen noticed this too?

Just hung up from an unknown dialer call; didn't notice anything like that. Probably (hopefully) some one-off derp.
Thanks for trying.
I just came up with the idea, if it might is connected to the feature "Intelligent call handling" that can be activated under "Settings/Personlization/Motion". Do you have this activated?

Nope. Innovation in all glory but some things need to stay old school..
Now I even had the bug, when I called someone.
That's really weird.
Is there an application that shows the last SMS and Call exchanged between me and a caller when an incoming call is present?
So this all started when I saw a buddy's S5 while he was dialing a contact. It showed the last communication between him and said contact. I have a lot of people I frequently call and SMS throughout the day, some of them clients whose numbers I haven't saved so I don't know what our last communication was. Is there an application that can show me this information in a certain hierarchy?
1. If SMS was exchanged, show that.
2. If not, show the last call.
Things I've tried to no avail:
*Ready Contacts + Dialer
*Caller History
*Truecaller
*Contactive - Free Caller ID
*White Pages ID
*Looking for a Tasker Profile
*Looking for an S5 Dialer port for 4.3
Here are some images to get an idea of what I'm talking about:

On a side note, Truecaller is a pretty smooth application if you only want the last call to be present.
Exdialer app from the play store is really good replacement for the stock dialer it saves detailed history of the last contacts you made. Plus it loads much faster.
Today, I'd like to show you a fix to some of the weird Caller ID issues, like these:
- All calls shown as from "Unknown number", even if you have them in the address book.
- All calls shown in the weird way, like +123(caller)&+123(your number), where +123 is your country index (+1 for the US, +30 for Greece, etc)

I have seen this mostly on AOSP-based ROMs, such as crDroid, PixelOS, ArrowOS and such.
HOW TO FIX THIS:
1. Go to settings
2. Network & Internet
3. SIMs
4. Pick your SIM you use for calls
5. Find the "VoLTE/4G Calling" option
6. Disable 4G Calling/VoLTE.
7. Reboot.
If you use two SIMs for calls and SMS, repeat the process for both.
And voila, if everything is done right, you will start seeing who's calling you again! I hope this guide was useful. I know that it's quite an obscure bug, but it's annoying.
Have a great rest of your day
So i can't use VoLTE in aosp based rom?
