regarding upgrading to SinMerged 1.x

Hi all,
i'm just about to flash my pda.. and i'd like to know if what i've done so far is correct:
first af all, my Qtek2020 is German, and the first OS was German. When i upgraded to 1.72.128 ITA i rembember i changed the language by using ER2k3 Edit..
now, i've downloaded SinMerged 1.x and extracted all the files.
then i've opened all of the 3 files (ext rom, radio and rom image) with er2k3edit and changed the "language" field from WWE to GER
i've also edited the field "Operator" and changed from O2 to Qtek
i wonder if it's correct...
Oh PS: btw do you know any program do backup SMSs? thx!
you can check what your qtek is now by running getdevicedata.
just to be sure it is a GER Qtek.
thanks for the advice..
i'll let you know asap
here's what i got:
Code:
U S B 3 2 1 . 7 2 . 0 4 I T A P H 1 0 Q t e k I T A 1 . 7 2 . 1 2 8 1 . 1 4 . 0 0
so language id is ITA :/
mmm i tought it was GER.. anyway.. is it correct to edit those fields on each of the 3 roms (radio, main and ext) ? or just on the main one?
thx again!
Edit on all three, I never tried otherwise.
some side information :
* All 3 upgrades (nk, radio,ms) have an operator and language which has to be the same as your machine.
* ms has also another operator and language your machine will change into when you upgrade
These are located on offset 74 and 94 in the decrypted MS_.nba
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=12101&start=0
If you don't want to change the operator and language in your machine, for guarantee reasons, you should follow DCS's post about country code error.
Although downgrading to your official rom might also be possible if you modify its headers with ER2003Edit. But sometimes a downgrade is no longer possible before claiming guarantee.

[Q] Sony SBH50 bluetooth headset : request for old firmware

Hello,
I stupidly upgraded the firmware of my SBH50 with which I had no problem for months.
With the updated one, quality/distance decreased, and track infos are no longer displayed (with some specific audio streaming setup from linux)
So, I'd like to get back to a previous firmware version, but it seems I can't find anything on the net.
If you own an SBH50, could you please check which firmware you have ? You can do that by long-pressing (20 seconds) both the back/menu key (the circular one on the bottom) and the volume- down buttons. It should display 1267-1720 followed by the firwmare version.
After my upgrade, I got 1.3.A.0.2. What i'd been happy with was 1.2.A.1.1 . But I can try even older versions.
So, if you have a version other than 1.3.A.0.2, and are willing to play a bit, you can extract it, post it here and make me happy
You can extract it with some tools available in this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/issues/how-to-downgrading-sony-mw1-to-0-1-d-0-6-t2909130
It works with the SBH50, and the procedure would be :
- Press the back/menu key (the round on on the bottom side) of the SBH50 while plugging it in your USB port.
- Run zadig.exe from the zip from the above thread to associate a good USB driver to the SBH50 (named "Collins").
- DO NOT run install.bat from the zip above !
- Extract the firwmare with the following command (dfu-util is in the zip from the above thread)
dfu-util.exe -v -c 1 -i 0 -a 0 -s 0x08040000 -U mycurrentfirmware.bin
- You should get a file of size 786,432 and can post it here, thanks !
Also, as firmware 1.3.A.0.2 is included in the apk of the android App v 1.0.61 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonymobile.smartconnect.collins&hl=en) , if by chance someone has an older version of this app (1.0.60, 1.0.59, 1.0.54, 1.0.50), I'll be happy to get its apk (or the file raw/firmware.bin in the apk if there is one).
Thanks (and sorry if I should have posted this in another forum).
A bit late, but here is 1.1.A.0.7. I don't know if it's the firmware, but my unit refuses to switch to A2DP under Ubuntu (works fine with a phone), so take that into account.

Click to collapse
Thank you !
Although I since then bought a new one from which i could extract the same version you posted.
And realized the version wasnt the problem. The cause of my problems was that the upgrade process didnt clear the previous settings which I guess were incompatible or corrupted. A full reset with any version solved my problems...
As for a2dp, it works fine with my debian 7 (pulseaudio 2.0-6.1, bluez 4.99-2), I just have to do :
Code:
pacmd set-card-profile [I]<index number of card>[/I] a2dp
or as a single command :
Code:
pacmd set-card-profile $(pacmd list-cards | grep index | grep -v 'index: 0' | tail -1 | sed -e 's/ *index: //') a2dp
Hope it will work for you. Thanks again.

[Q] BT problem on CM7

Hello everybody!
i tried the CM7 on tassve and copperve devices and i noticed that both have the same bluetooth problem: it can send and receive files, it can connect to handfree devices, it can be controlled by BT devices (like car audio) but no audio streams via BT. Maybe is a common CM7 problem.. and maybe you already hear about that
Here some logcat
Code:
D/A2dpAudioInterface( 1404): A2dpAudioStreamOut::a2dp_start
D/A2dpAudioInterface( 1404): Trying to connect to BTLD (23)
D/A2dpAudioInterface( 1404): A2dpAudioStreamOut::a2dp_start: failed to connect
E/A2dpAudioInterface( 1404): a2dp_write socket not ready
E/bluetooth_ScoSocket.cpp( 1837): accept_work socket() failed: Protocol not supported
E/bluetooth_ScoSocket.cpp( 1837): accept_work socket() failed: Protocol not supported
...
E/bluetooth_ScoSocket.cpp( 1837): accept_work socket() failed: Protocol not supported
I tried to search some error reference, but i didn't find it..
Is there some docs about logcat error? or some docs about porting original module to CM ones?
I know there isn't a ready-solution, but i'm trying to dig for it..
thanks in advance
Fabrizio
Hi @darkholokaust, I am fairly new in Android world , so i might be wrong mate.
a2dp doesn't work with cm7, the reason is that drivers required were never published i guess. and no work-around as far as i know for cooperve devices,,,
Yes, but it seems strange to me that you can't use original one..
In fact on CM11 BT work perfect

Question Audio doesn't work (speakers, microphone, bluetooth)

Hello, everyone
I'm trying to understand what's the problem with my mi pad 5 pro. There are a couple of problems which I'm trying to resolve.
First of all I can't install any firmware except V12.5.14.0.RKYCNXM. I was trying to install it using fastboot and recovery, official way. Everytime my tablet is freezed on miui logo and nothing more.
I don't know why but it works only on V12.5.14.0.RKYCNXM.
I also tried to install custom lineageOS 20.0 and it works but audio problem still exists.
The second problem is with audio. Everything is associated with audio (speakers, microphone, bluetooth) doesn't work. Recorder app crashes. Video in camera crashes. Video in browser is playing without sound. I can suppose that because of audio problem other firmwares can't be installed correctly.
I have some logs from tablet but google didn't help me with that

If you have some thought about it please respond me. Thanks in advance
Hello @Vlady_32
Try factory reset after flashing them. Your device should be able to flash all Stock ROM for your device model. IMO if the issue persists, you should return the device.
How could you install recovery ROM? Does elish have custom recovery like TWRP? I found only AOSP recovery for elish which cannot flash recovery Stock ROMs.
I've successfully installed the last version of DEV firmware MIUI V13.1.22.11.21.DEV using Magisc and three dots way. But audio still doesn't work and the same errors in the log
AudioSystem::listAudioPorts error -19
Got any leads on how to solve the issue? I'm facing this exact problem too
