I have an HTC desire z and I was wondering if it was possible to connect my phone to the tablet via Bluetooth and use my phone as a keyboard and touch pad for the prime?
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using XDA Premium App
Not that I know of...you should start coding.
Yes you can! There is a free app called tablet remote, lets you do that and much more. Very good imo install on on both tab and phone and you can use phone to control prime and also other way too.

Lol....I totally want to use my phone as a remote for my already mobile tablet which is the remote for my PC which is the remote for my TV now
down with TV remotes!!!!!!!!!
I was looking at the Galaxy Nexus threads and saw this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_--zcmqIyRI and decided I would try it out on the Note. I did this on my Evo when I had one so this isn't a new idea but I kind like it. This isn't an in depth video, it just shows you how it works with what I have working with it. The commands that the Nexus user can use with his keyboard I couldn't get to work with the Note. Not sure if its an ICS thing or what. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laUNz7QJ9Wo&feature=youtu.be
I too have been playing around with this and it is a pretty novel idea. It isn't 100% there yet in terms of being a setup I could use full time, but it does let me travel without my laptop and plug in to a hotel TV.

I am using both an Apple keyboard and track pad in one setup and a Motorola keyboard/track pad combination in another. They both work well.

Is there a way to make the Motorola Lapdock to work with the Note or something similar?
I was hoping to put Ubuntu on my phone and be able to mirror that to the screen.
Any suggestions?

Can you get any of the commands to work from the keyboard like the Nexus? I'm not having much luck there. Might be a gingerbread thing.

I just found an old Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard (it's a small black box that you set on a table, and it projects a full-sized keyboard onto whatever flat surface it's sitting on using a laser) I used to use with my Windows Mobile 2003 PDA and tried to pair it with my Note today. It works flawlessly! This thing hasn't worked with any of my devices since WinMo 5, and even then it usually required a driver to be installed. Not with the Note! Just need to be sure I have the Samsung Keyboard selected (but it doesn't need to be open). I just keep getting more and more excited about this thing (except for the dark splotches on my display and low Quadrant scores).
Ok this is neat for traveling. Anyone know what cable we need to connect to the lcd monitor?

You have to have the MHL to HDMI adapter for it to work. I got mine on Amazon for $22 including shipping and got it within 5 days. Then of course a bluetooth keyboard and mouse..works good. Does your monitor have HDMI?
Edit: If your traveling I'm sure the tv might have an HDMI...unless you stay in a Days Inn as I do..

The Logitech Tablet Bluetooth keyboard/android 3.0+ works nice with the Note.
It even has 3 special keys to enable the menu, home and search buttons.

Note 717 as a computer
I have been using the Note 717 as my home computer. I downloaded Liquid smooth 4.1.2 and now the HDMI to Micro USB adapter doesn't recognize the monitor? Please help....I would also like other ideas for hooking the phone to a monitor. The cables constantly cause issues with connection. thanks you
Twice now I have tried to play this and twice it has frozen and crashed when I have crouched down to do a spin?

Wouldn't it had been easier to try the reboot first (well known way to resolve gaming issues btw) instead of creating this thread?? Just saying, sometimes we are quick to post issues without trying to troubleshoot first.
Bought it this morning as soon as I read about it on Pulse, but have been too busy to play until now. Jumped on here first though an seeing the thread title made me think my $7 purchase wasn't gonna be playable tonight or until an update for it was out. Glad that's not the case!! Lol
Gonna play it using the screen to start with but I've got my micro-hdmi cable and PS3 controller ready to go!!! Should look sweet on 55 inches

Hey, I sent you an inbox for what you asked me for man
Worked for me without any issues. Playing with PS3 controller over bluetooth also hooked up to my HDTV over micro HDMI. Awesome game for our Transformers. I hope they (SEGA and others) produce more games like this that are controller compatible without the need to root.
is this sonic the same one as the one on xbox arcade? same levels or different?

I think you just need to hold the PS button for about 5-10 seconds. (I think)
I can't get it to stop blinking when I'm playing though......
Didn't blink with my dualshock, but my old sixaxis I'm having no luck.

DO any of you guys know whether I have to purchase the dock to enable the PS3 controller to work?
i had it plugged in to the usb port on the dock when i initially paired mine, but now i simply turn on the bt and push the ps button and it pairs in a couple seconds... just try it and see if it works[?]
Has anyone used the phonjoy.com controllers?

I did forget to mention that. but yes that is true.
I happen to have a PS3 controller, so I'd like to try playing the good old MC3 on my TF300 with it. I have everything set up perfectly, the controller is detected by the sixaxis app (it says 'client connected: 1' when I power on the controller), and I have obviously selected sixaxis as default input method. However for some reason the controller doesn't do anything, not even in the UI. Any hints? I'd really love to try this thing out
One more thing, this is a GameStop controller, not a stock PS3 one, but honestly I think it should work just fine since it uses the same frequency of the standard one. On the box there's written it uses sixaxis technology and all that jazz...

DId you download the modern combat 3 profile that JGAF created and select that in the app? I had a problem with my first controller because it wasnt OEM, and I could not get the one controller light to stay on, so i think ur ok in that department.
And you've paired the controller using the bluetooth mac address on the TF300, using the sixaxis pair tool on ur PC correct ???

Yes, I used the PC tool and paired the controller properly. I've also loaded the mc3 profile, and the controller light stays on...here's why it's weird, everything should be working just fine, basically it looks like the keys on the controller aren't working, maybe I got a defective one??

As stated in the description of the Sixaxis app many generic controllers don't work with it, you should get an original one.

Hmm I think so, I guess I got fooled a little by that guy at the shop a few days back. He told me that this one was as good as the original one, with the same frequency and all that
I'll bring it back to the shop tomorrow, hopefully I'll be able to get at least a discount on an original one or something, they're so freaking expensive...

Just a little update: I grabbed an original controller from a friend and now everything works. Cool stuff. I'd just love to have a way to increase sensitivity a lil more (via game settings isn't enough for me), but that's nitpicking. Coming from PC gaming no controller can ever be sensitive enough for my needs I guess
Lesson learned: stay stay away from GameStop controllers.

OK I made some minor changes to the delay time, the sensitivity was set to max though. Try it out and see if you see any changes. I can't try it since I don't have the game installed. I overwrote the profile in my drop box with the new one, so you can download it from my profile thread.
