Hi,I am completely new to the flashing , the kernels and all stuff,I am a complete noob,but I am now at ICS for my Galaxy Ace,I tried installing Abyss 4.2 but it said Installation Aborted...then when I tried Odin,it said please connect phones and my phone is already plugged in,I even tried factory resetting...but it just goes back to same old ICS,I think it's because that time,when I was dling ICS , I forgot to put the .zip file and it got into a boot loop,but still in GB,then I used the sd card reader and put the zip file in the phone,then I was in ICS...I've been doing this for weeks.PLEASE HELP,and oh yeah,the market app I dlded for ics dls apps super slow...if I can still dl apps in normal speed as gb in ics,i dont mind staying in ics

Thanks for replying...but I am totally new...but drivers you mean as in the PDA CSC that kind of stuff ? Yup I had them but it still says Please COnnect Phones
btw i am running cm9
no samsung usb drivers!!!! u can find them at samfirmware.com
Find drivers on sammobile.com and then spam through the install
Then boot download mode with power home an vol down. Should find it with a yellow scren saying
Downloading.

i tried that too and wont unroot and i just want to return to stock to flash a kph baseband and to flash FirstUA-ROM
Then u don't need to unroot just flash Phone with kph by using Odin and then flash uarom by cwm

ua rom and other roms except stock are alreadt rooted and if yo want to unroot and youre ilon stock with cwm IT CANT then you need to flash an stock rom trough odon

Superoneclick could be a good idea. Install it and just click on unroot. They say just don't mount the sd card and you'll be fine.

2) Turn on your phone

8) When the process is complete turn off SOC and unplug your phone
9) Reboot to apply changes
10) Now you have unrooted phone!

Right well been playing aruond alot with my phone and now want to go back to stock rom so i can install sgs 2 final rom.
The reason is that the a2sd isnt working on that rom and the kernel that i have is not cf-root and cf-root will not install when i flash the rom.
So obviously i have a galaxy ace, it's GT-S5830.
I am unable to recover my backup using cwm as it just stops at the second samsung boot animation.
Now i am looking for the stock baseband version but cannot find that. My baseband is S5830BVKQA.
I have been using cm7.1 and .2 which from what i have read causes problem due to ext4 and rfs system thing.
Please help me this is the last thing that i even want to know

well got it all set up and it wouldn't recognize my device in download mode. Just going to stick with sgs 2 but will keep an eye out for your fix spacecaker. thank you for all your help
first install samsung kies then after instalation reboot pc
open odin put the files correctly

hi everyone ... i have really serious problem with my gt-i9100g in usb connection mode when i try to connect to my pc its not showing any thing (just charging) am try all the ways before i post the thread (factory rest ..install and reinstall the kies and driver,format my laptop,, use another pc...*#7284#,,,usb debugging mode,,,usb storage mode ) i have done every thing and i am still stuck??????? am using GB 2.3.6 stock rom and i used another rom like superatom rom and kernel's (using mobile odin) flash it with stock rom's via(mobile odin) ???any ideas

I think its hardware problem in the usb it self .....i used the kies o.e time on my life and thien the problem is starred ...i dont need kies the mobile odin do all job ..perfectly ...but some times u need the ****in kies ....thank u bro

Yes man i try 4-5 usb cables nothing happin....but somtimes when convert the pda ----->to modem the pc start to load some drivers but all of thiem unkown for the pc (thats only in modem mode )by hitting *#7284#..

i think it will be best if you go to samsung center.if you cant fix the problem on your own then ask samsung center to identify the problem.one thing i want to ask when did this problem start and how.also do you pull the usb cable carelessly because it could have damaged the port.

I had this problem when i had upgraded to 2.3.6
You can solve this, first go to downloading mode and reboot by long pressing power button then go to recovery mode and reboot.
for me it solved usb connection problem.

what a serious problem you have i mean most of our suggestions would fix your problem but one thing i want to ask you were able to flash? then that rules out damage usb port.but if i find a fix i will tell you,see if you can identify the problem.but if you were able to flash then it is either bad drivers or damaged usb cable.
When th GB 2.3.6released its was working very good i used 1clickroot app to root my phone and start using the mobile odin app to flash Rom and kernels (from the phone itself )i think u know this app and it can root any Rom without need to any pc to do it ...am starting to think to send it to the Samsung care center ....this phone will made me crazy bro ....and thank very much man to try to helps in this phone issue .

hi guys i flashed a samsung galaxy sii gt-i9100
on a smasung galaxy s ii gt-i9100G
now it wont go to recovery mode (CWM)
but can go to download mode but in my computer the odin doesnt recognize my device so it means i cant flash ROMs
now how can i fix this problem ?? thanx ahead guys

Make sure you have the drivers installed correctly, and make sure Kies is closed (even in task manager)

sir i connected it to third pc and it worked but when flashing official rom it just checking the says failed can i flash something else to fix the problem ?? a kernel maybe or CWM ??

Go to www.sammobile.com and download a stock firmware for your device and flash through Odin. Then you can start over

today i installed CWM. I did a wipe/data factory reset. Cuz i thought it taked too long i turned of my Phone. Now the Phone do not want to boot up. also when i plug the Phone into the charger my pc dont regonize the Phone!
What could i do?

Try Odin happen to me once PC didn't recognize but Odin still did. Go to stickies section in Sgs2 section find stock ROM flash after I plugged in to kies and it did the rest. This method worked for me twice when all I had was a flickering black screen. Hope it works with U. Try to put into download mode three bottom press. PM if U need more help.

Guessing that you have hard bricked the phone, due to doing wipe on stock rom.
Not much you can do, a new motherboard is required
Can you enter download mode?
Download mode is entered by Volume Down + Home + Power pressed simultaneously when your phone is off.

If you had read just a little bit about rooting / flashing, you would have known that you should not do a CWM factory reset on stock 4.0.4 rom.
