I searched and couldn't find it anywhere, but has anyone themed the status icon of screebl to be blue (to match ICS). Just figured I'd ask, didn't know where to tho. If not, I think I'll do it myself.
I guess not. Time to set up the computer. Now here's my second question. Is redistributing that bad?

Is there any way to remove the clock in the status bar on Nero V3?
Sent from my Galaxy S via XDA App
I wonder if removing the reference to the clock in the arrays.xml file in the framework-res.apk would work? Chances are its not that simple. Why dont you want a clock?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I know I use Beautiful Widgets so having both clocks is redundant, but I live with it. That being said, if I could remove it easily I would.
Why not just use a different launcher? I use adw ex launcher, which can give me the gingerbread look and get rid of the status bar. I haven't noticed any extra lag either.

I am using adw.ex and I also use clock... so yea.... having redundant times bother me.
I want to see my status bar for circle battery mod and other notifications. I hate seeing the clock up there.

been looking for this too... anybody?
I'm guessing it wouldn't be that hard to get rid of it, but I think you might just have an empty space where it used to be afterwards. You'd probably have to edit some XML files if you didn't want a huge waste of space on your status bar. I could be wrong though. I've never heard of anyone wanting to do such a thing. Do you guys just play with your launchers all day? You've never been in an app like the browser and been curious of what time it was? I think it would be a pain to exit an app every time I cared to know what time it was. To each his own I guess.

You could just lock the screen check the time instead of exit then unlock the screen and go back into what ever you were doin
You can try making a metamorph.

I'd just like to remove the AM/PM notification, ala Gingerbread, as this is the single most common element of the UI burned into the LED screen (probably since it's the most static).
Anyone have luck with this?
The statusbar clock is in the services.jar file. You'd have to know how to edit .smail's to take it out. There is a writeup on the EVO forum. Not sure if it can apply to the Galaxy S.
Hi guys
Question: Does anyone know of an app, that can also give us Android users the kind of functionality on the Iphone 5 pull down? (See Screenshot)
I would like to see my mails listed, maybe the first 2 or so, with sms, weather etc?
I have looked, maybe this is a nice dev opp?
There are apps you use to get like this, but one single app, i think we still dont have...

For the Pull Down Notification Bar Toggles try "Notification Toggle" free from the market...
That's right. I can use the search function.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353414

yeah, sorry. I saw that. Perhaps should have mentioned it.
I'm on stock 2.3.4. and it said it wouldn't work.
so thanks for re-using the search function for me.
Don't get me wrong but the notification/widget implementation on iOS is not pretty efficient in my opinion.
I'd hate to be constantly pulling down just so see what's up with the weather or whatever.
I rather have my widgets on the unlock screen or desktop as Android does.
Cheers!

Is anyone else getting these spam adds showing up in there notification area saying things like you've won an Ipad and such. They show as a plus symbol when the status bar is in its regular position.
I want to find out how I cab prevent these spam notifications from occurring. Any suggestions?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I have them too. I think mine come from an ics theme I got for go locker. I love the theme so I deal with them, but they are very annoying. Sometimes porn ones too - not cool. If you find out anything let me know.

find the app that is causing them and uninstall. these background spam ads use up a bit of much need battery life =|
That's the hole purpose of this post. I don't know which app is causing this so I was hoping someone else does.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brosmike.airpushdetector and run it on your phone.it will show you which app is causing the adds.
I know 'easy uninstaller' by info life and 'mp3 download' with the red circle icon gave me spam on the notification bar.

Yes Thank you I got it fixed now.
I have mikrunny rom is there anyway to get a animated pull down bar background? Thanks

The hell are you even asking for exactly?
I've seen it before a long time ago like the background on the notification pull down was animated
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA
I actually remember when this first came out when I was back on my Epic 4G. When you pulled down the notification bar the background would be animated. Like a live wallpaper. I haven't seen it mentioned much in awhile. I THINK the battery trade-off kept it from being that popular after the initial "wow factor".
Yea I haven't seen anything about it I've been searching I had it before a long time ago

drop down
You have to edit that in systemui.apk, if you contact a themer I'm sure they would do it for you, but it may not be free, I will do it for you, let me know what it is your looking for. I know that BAMF forever cubed rom has that in the rom, but that's for the tbolt, but it could be ported to work on your phone, and that I have no idea how to do, but I know someone that knows how.
Let me know what you want in a PM
The icon has been on my status bar since yesterday. I dont remember seeing it over the weekend. Anyone else have this one on? Its not the GPS icon. I had to search the web to even find out what it is. Not affecting battery life as I got 14 usable hours yesterday.
I believe if you have Google location settings enabled it shows the icon on the notification bar. Technically it does effect your battery life but only very slightly

Thank you for the response. I found out that it is normal to see it. I found a .zip to remove the icon from the status bar.
Could you give me a link to the zip?
