This question should have asked in general section as it isn't about something related to your work of ROM development.
CM 7.1 and 7.2 are both considered as CM7 not CM9. CM7 is based on Gingerbread, CM8 was based on honeycomb but as no source code was released by Google CM8 didn't come out. And CM9 is based on ICS.
& About comparison, you've gotta do that yourself by flashing one by one. Different people, Different choices.

cwm5 will cause problems
because it isnt made for cwm5

If it is not "soooo much work" to do, I'll may give it a try. Because it will be handy to test drive new roms without flashing and reflashing the current productive system.

I think it's not really possible to make dual boot on Ace because we don't have a bootloader (only a very simple that only loads and run the boot.img, we can not change nothing in it). Only it's possible to make dual boot for rom's that use the same kernel.
I am not sure but i think nexus s has it bcoz meego is also ported to nexus s!

Nope its HDPI.
And wrong because this MIUI is not official its a port of Nexus S MIUI and miui.us is not a official MIUI site its a fan site only miui.com is http://en.miui.com/download.html
