First, my rom is Stock Lite v6(the best I used so far). I wanted to install the mod(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1581428)
but when i do, my top bar disappears. I was told that this is due to the existing of another 14 toogle mod that i have,so I followed the suggestion to:
1. remove quickpanelsettings.apk from system/app folder and delete lidroid-res.apk from system/framework folder.
2. flash new version of toggles mod
I have tried and it´s still not working. I tried to ask in my rom topic and in the mod topic and no answer was given to me. I know it should work and It must be something that I'm doing wrong, just didn't want to insist(spam) so I'm trying to get my answer here. Sorry if it's stupid. Thank you
ps:the same problem appears when i try to install the updated version of my 14toogles

to remove 14 toggle mod, u need original systemui.apk from ur stock rom. Not just remove quickpanelsetting.apk and lidroid.apk. Because in that systemui.apk, it contains modded smali files. That's the main thing of 14 toggles mod.

Ask the rom creator to give you the systemui file without the 14 toggles mod.

Can anyone help me please?
You try these (i got the 14 toggles, but it crashed a little bit too often and removed it)
1)Look for systemui.apk and framework-res.apk inside the StockLitev6 zip file. Replace both apps in your system/framework and system/apps folders using Root Explorer (maybe backup first?), reboot. Then flash the 14-toggles and its fix again (in the stocklite thread).
2)You can try getting a flashable zip from UOT kitchen with StockLiteV6 original systemui.apk and framework-res.apk (without mods applied) so you can reflash the original status bar any time, and also its great to mess with the framework-res.apk graphics.
3) Last resource, reflash EVERYTHING

Hello Developers,
I want to know how to add the data toggle in notification.
I saw the need to change SystemUI.apk (xml and Smali) but this does not seem to be enough because I have the CF's.
Can you tell me more?
Thank you!
yes please
Yeah i was under the impression that it's Kernel/ROM dependent but its a massive feature im missing coming from a HTC desire running CM7 and im not up for testing the CM nightlies with a new baby to look after just in case my wife needs me asap lol
Please What do not say how to add the data toggle

Wrong thread. You can find out more on " Samsung Galaxy S2 Q&A"
No one answers in Q & A as seems to be the case here.
Why no one wants to unravel the mystery
cerede2000 is right, this is a key feature, that I personally would love to see, on a stockish sgs2 rom.
I've recently noticed the appearance of the data toggle, which was promising, but no way to customise.
perhaps now that the devs are getting more stable roms they could delve further into this?
Ah one can dream.
Hold power button... Data off. hehe
Otherwise, I think Cognition ROM has it.
Yes Cognition have it
But i would add to my stock rom
Juste need answer at what files modified for add data toggle ?
Thanks!

Posted on your other thread in Q&A... It's in SystemUI.apk, can't say where though.
I try to modify SystemUI.apk in smali files but have FC's
Are you sure is just SystemUI.apk ?
I do not understand when I put directly SystemUI.apk of Cognition ROM it works well.
However when I change my ROM from my stock SystemUI.apk XXKG3 j'obtient one of FC's SystemUI.apk.
Please help me.
Here is my SystemUI.apk : http://www.multiupload.com/15QBK0IX9U
What is wrong with my SystemUI changed.
Thank you!
The reason is that your stock ROM is odexed and the other is deodexed.
This thread should be in the Q&A section.
Absolutely not! I deodex my rom...
Please look at my SystemUI.apk to tell me if something is wrong.
Thank you

I didn't saw your nor cognition SystemUI.apk. but pushing the .png is not enough.
You should have to edit and modify .xml (baksmali) :
quickpanel_quick_settings.xml in /res/layout/
ids.xml and string.xml in res/values
don't touch to public.xml as it is auto generated when recompilation with APK_Manager
Not tested, but you should compare the files above

I not only added the png. I changed the xml files and smali files.
I edit by hand public.xml.
I'll let ApkManager do I see if I have no FC's.
Great! It's work!
We had to do to just let ApkManager public.xml!
This Mode is only for Gingerbread ROM and is no more maintained !
Same Mode is Availble in my ROM NeroICS with every thing working
GPS crash fix and network toggle is fixed now with 15 toggles...
I have read a lot about users comments to know how to make Power widgets for statusbar and how to customize them.
And finally got solution over it ! Its similar to the statusbar from CyanogenMod BUT this one is more cool in look !!
You can add remove and arrange the power widgets in statusbar as you want and also apply settings without reboot ! This is for Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) Users with Android 2.3.4 OS as i have tested it on my SK17i
It also worked on Xperia Mini and Live (Tested by users...)
Active users can try at their own risk ! And please report if it works....
NOTE : I am not responsible if you damage your device by my work ! AND DON'T HESITATE TO HIT THANKS BUTTON IF YOU LIKE MY WORK AS I HAVE MODED IT FOR SK17i !!
Instruction for use :
Firstly extract "Xperia Nero v1 (Power Widgets).zip" anywhere you want and follow these method.
Method 1 :
1] Install QuickPanelSettings.apk
2] And Just Copy " Xperia Nero v1.zip " directly to SD CARD and flash it using CMW
And you are done !
Method 2 :
1] Install QuickPanelSettings.apk
2] Extract " Xperia Nero v1.zip " copy SystemUI.apk from "app" folder and framework-res.apk from "framework" folder of extracted files.
3] Put them anywhere in phone memory before you replace original files using adb or Root Explorer etc and change permission to
R W -
R - -
R - -
4] Make backup of original SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk and then copy the apk that you put in phone memory just now.And reboot
And you are done !
Sorry For Orange colored pics but actually its BLUE Color NOT Orange !

Yes you can use it with UOT kitchen and I can say it would be better to re modify these apk file as you want instead of porting look of old SystemUI.apk, as it takes more efforts than redesigning
thanks for reply. I have tried using this in UOT Kitchen but when i flash it back on to my phone the status bar widgets are gone. ANy ideas?

This might be due to 2 reasons first is you might have added header or carrier lable that will cause you to loose power widgets
or the layout, choose mdpi layout and make sure tou haven't added any non compatible widget icons like blue icon pack...
rest it shouldn't happen as i have tested them on uot before i answer you
method 2 does not require unlocked bootloader right? just rooted phone?
update - my UOT Kitchen'ed version of framework and systemui works if i perform a factory reset and then apply. but then i lose all my stuff, so i have restored my backup. I have tried wiping dalvik cache and then flashing zip but that applies my theme but without toggles :-s I'm so confused

No method 2 needs only rooted phone to use root explorer or similar software to copy apk files
These software requires root access...no need of unlocked bootloader..

This shouldn't happen, though you try following steps
firstly extract my apk files from my work (systemui and framewor-res both)
Upload them to uot and modify as you want
download and extract the modified uot files (systemui and framework-res both) and replace your origianl apk files from phone memory by giving properpermission as mention above in method 2
Reboot and it should work ...
and be sure you don't mess with header and carrier label through uot ! Cause i have restricted them in my work for stability.

And if you want to revert back to old look then just replace SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk of old rom with proper perimissions that i mentioned above and you will get your old look back... (I hope you had made a backup of these files or Nandroid backup before you used my work )

If you just want to replace icons with others, all you need do is use 7zip or similar to open the apk file and literally just swap the existing icons with some new ones.
If you want to add icons, or change how they're displayed, then you're looking at decompiling.
Need help !
Can I jus replace the contacts.apk , phone.apk and get a new look or can I jus replace the PNG's on those APK's ?
Or , should I have to deal wit' the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk ?
Also , is there any way that I can extract the icons from an icon pack ??
Check this thread. You will find what you are looking for.

thanks for link, i follow your guide to de-compile SystemUI.apk for editing, i used the guide from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803813 to edit my systemui and when i move new systemui.apk to my phone, i lost my notification . I think i didn't understand exactly these sentences in you guide "Before using the new apk you need to extract the resources.arsc, then simply put it back in the new apk overwriting the original resources.arsc.
In WinRar it will give you the option to choose the compression method, and it's vital that you choose Store as the compression method..."
The resources.arsc file i have to put in the new apk is the one in the decompiled apk folder ?
Sorry for my poor english. THanks

You must decompile LGSystemUI.apk, then find&replace icons in /res/drawable-hdpi/ folder, must be same size (picture-no data) and type (usually .png).
Some of icons is in lge-res.apk and framework-res.apk. Procedure is same.
Files must be deodexed.

Didn't you ask: Please can you guide me how to decompile and recompile LGSystemUI.apk.
So, lets start with that... it is (infinitely) simpler than handling with android.policy.jar.
For beginning, please read and install from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251719
All of this you need if you want to use VTS.
That is good base for start and understand this process (and works with kitkat).
And for virtuos ten studio, first you MUST read tutorials at this page: http://virtuous-ten-studio.com/, but if you don't understand base of whole process, VTS is useless.

I dont know where you take only icons, you must take it by yourself from LGSystemUI, or framework-res from original G3 rom.
Try to extract from here: https://app.box.com/s/m0tvrwabte4x6lyc2la1, if they look like in attached pic.
Or try to search or ask someone on G3 forum.
