Yep the .zip file works... If you dont have recovery simply put the apk in system/app and change the permisions I dont know why but XDA didn't allowed the apk file to be uploded here

i dont think so, coz from what i read..just extract the .apk using 7zip..and find the .xml based on what u want to edit..and make it .apk back..i didn't know about editing..thats based on what i've read sory.

You have not to install it! copy the apk to system/app/, then reboot and add the widget on your desk!
ps: I prefer beautiful widget...

Here's an apk with the background for the 4x3 widgets set at 25%. I could go full transparent for all backgrounds if you'd like, but probably won't be able to get to it 'til after the weekend...

I use Task650 extreme ROM. I put this apk into /system/app but the application still not run.
I made what he said, open root explorer, system/app- click long on app and then at the option permissons I clicked them all...and them I open file 'app' and pasted the app...

Remove both files
Reboot
Copy file SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk found at begin of this thread to /system/app
Set permissions rw-r-r
set RO back
reboot.
Stock weather widget will appear and you can install Accuweather for Honeycomb from Market. Both will work together.

Didn't work for me on Pershoot's CM10 JB Mod either. Copied to /system/app and changed permissions but it doesn't show up in the widgets.

actually i did that and it worked but my widget is invisible, is this the widget i downloaded from this site?

I shifted from the stock SE ROM to CM7 a couple of days ago,but I prefer the stock SE launcher over the ADW launcher. I did look around a bit for the home.apk file but as I don't know what version the launcher on the stock neo V ROM was,I can't be sure the launcher i downloaded was the latest version (the preview screen does not use the Accelerometer like it does on the Neo V). Can you please upload the apk file? Thanks!

For some reason,the app installer just says Application Not installed. But it does show upgrade to new version,so I know for sure I don't have the latest version. Any idea why it didn't work?

Are your phone rooted? If so, copy the home.apk to system> using rootexplorer. Change the permission to:-
[/][/][ ]
[/][ ][ ]
[/][ ][ ]
Then copy it to system>app>
Reboot your phone and it should work.

YOU DONT HAVE TO INSTALL IT. Just place the home.apk to system>app> change permission and reboot. Seems to me you try to install it as 'application not installed' appear.

I did manage to install version 1.0 of the Sony Ericsson Home apk,using that right now. Didn't have to change permissions or anything. Installed it like a normal apk file,on my CM 7. I wanted to upload the file
I wish i could link you to the thread on XDA,but I was using Dolphin browser and deleted history on exit. Cleared the downloads folder too.
Btw use RW mode in system folder and not RO mode when pasting

I if you want stock ICS lockscreen
1. You go to /system/app with root explorer
2. Look up UxpNxtLockScreen.apk name it to UxpNxtLockScreen.bak
3. Restart the phone and it works prefect
If you want sonys stock lockscreen, you just change .bak -> .apk

No slide music controls but when you start the music the controls show on the lockscreen. I dont how it looks on stock ICS!

Have tested it on xperia sola (stock ICS .54) - it works!
It tuned out framework.jar is very sensitive file for the system and first attempt to overwrite it with Total Commaner gives me bootloop
Probably it there is a safer method?..

I was thinking that the stock launcher of 201 xperia's is really cool. I really like the feature that allows you to put 4 app icons into the corners. A friend of mine when took a look at my xperia mini pro sad that too. He was interested in the stock launcher. So is earched for it , do anyone know if it is possible to install the same launcher on other phones? It would be nice to "extract" the .apk of the stock launcher

Yes it's possible, just extract the Home.apk and HomePreferences.apk and push it to the other device. Should work
To pull it do it via a file explorer or use adb

But there are modified home launchers that should work.

Yes, you copy them from /system/app (I guess you need root in some explorers to do that) to your sdcard, mount the phone to your pc and copy them from your phone to your pc
Or you just use adb pull. You just have to set up adb on your pc (android-sdk) and type

adb pull /system/app
and you've got the whole system/app folder. Now you can take the Home.apk and HomePreferences.apk and try them on another phones. Sometimes it works on different phones, sometimes not. I guess it depends on the other phone

As long you are not on Sony stock firmware you can use Ra3al's port of the xperia S launcher. It supports 4 corners.
