Hello there !
since i've got my Xperia S i was very pleased with it, although the homescreen is a bit laggy when using the weatherwidget or the timescape widgets and swiping through them(any1 else noticed this?) and yea now i got a little issue with youtube..
its not only the app, but also in the browser when i want to watch a video it just keeps loading for like 10 minutes and if i try to close it will just force close or the system says that it's hanging and if i wanted to wait or fc it..
any1 else got this issue and knows a possible solution for this?

Lately my gallery has been laggy. when i open the file it takes a awhile to bring up my photos. any one else has this happening to them? or does anyone have a solution?

Been happening to me yesterday and today. I turned my phone off and back on (only cuz it wouldnt play ANY youtube videos) earlier today and it doesnt seem to lag at all anymore. Dunno if it'll help, but worth a try.
I got a freeze of the device.
I was watching YouTube redirected via Opera Mini.
The sound was ON, everything else freezed. I had to restart the phone.
Is this a YouTube issue?

I had the same problem a few times with the stock firmware (.62 I think.. or .63 ) and with the newer .73 I never had that issue. And I use youtube very often!
At mine it was the same: Everything else than sound just freezed, no button-press was recognized -> restart with [Vol UP]+[Power]. I could not reproduce it, it just happened about one time in two days or so..
I had something remotely similar several times:
When watching a video fullscreen and trying to jump back in time the video output would freeze, when rotating the phone back the normal YouTube interface would come back but the video portion would stay the same as fullscreen.
After a while a window pops up asking me whether I wanted to force close, when I choose close only the fullscreen video part is gone but YouTube is still running and responding...
I didn't have the phone freeze from this though.
edit: I'm on .67 Austrian A1 stock firmware.

It happened on mine as well. I called Sony Mobile Canada to report this issue and the web browsing causing the phone to reboot. She said she will escalate it because it is a software issue. For now, I will be returning my Xperia S until they fix these issues. I can live without youtube for awhile but the web browser crashing the phone is unacceptable, IMO.

Still have it.. Tried with all roms.. Still there..
Im now scared to use youtube app again..
To break my phone or something..
Itsbridicilous.. Cant even scroll an movie. Cant press go back. Freeze freeze freeze...

I got this same problem wit You Tube app. I know this is an old thread but is there any solution for that? Does firmware 73 will fix that?

I had the same issue. Even when I pressed home button while watching one video I still could hear audio from this video and even Force stop wouldn't help.
People do you have same issue as I have in the SKYPE video calls on landscape mode ? People can see me but I cant see my preview? I only can see little square with some of my video

hi. i don't know if how did i actually have this problem or maybe everybody has the same.
it is with my messaging. when opening a conversation ( received and sent items ) with a lot of messages to scroll up and down, it is not smooth.
when i scroll down or up a conversation, it is just slow and lags very much. it's like the fps dropped.
i have to enable 2d acceleration to make it smooth and better fps.
i experienced this only in conversations.
i already did a full wipe before flashing again and still the problem is here
I do not know if it is like this already or this just happened after watching an mkv video through BSPlayer.
I'm currently using stock 4.1.2 Poland ROM.

I have the same problem. Everything else about this phone is really smooth except messaging. Maybe a problem with touchwiz? I'm not sure but it is a little annoying. I was hoping Jellybean would fix it but it's still laggy.

I have this problem too on 4.1.2, so i replaced the message apk from 4.1.1 J5 and its smooth again

I am using Ubuntu Touch (15.04) Build 57 on my nexus 4.
Im using Ubuntu touch since a couple of weeks now but there is one thing that is really annoying. There is an immense lag when swiping from the welcome screen. Sometimes it takes 3-4 seconds until something happens. I noticed that this is most of the time when the standard browser app is running.... is this a known problem?
I tested with many apps running (Camera, Contacts, Phoneapp, Email App Dekko, Message App, System Settings, etc....) except the browser - the phone is fast and the experience is nice, but as soon as the browser is runnning, the phone is barely usable.... and really slow. The browser itself is okay when it is running... Very Strange...
Does anyone has suggestions what i can do? Is there an alternative browser i can test?

There's no other browser which you can use (except one which hasn't seen any updates for a couple of months). That's indeed an interesting observation. Would you mind creating a bug report here? https://bugs.launchpad.net/webbrowser-app

A few days ago I got an update from the Facebook app. The thing is that when I try to scroll everything stucks at some point and won't let me navigate smoothly on the app. I got worried and berry pissed off since is the app that I used the most so I tried everything, from reinstalling the app to deleting cache and data of the app and also downgrading to be surprised that the issue is still there, did anyone is still experiencing this issue or knows how to fix it? A curious thing is that Facebook is the only app showing this issue.
I do have a video showing the issue but since I'm new here it doesn't let me post the link.

I have this problem too. Seems that its a buggy version of Facbook app. Hope they will fix ASAP
