Hy guys, I make it short.
My problem is that i cannot build a connection to an 802.1x EAP network that i got in school. I can see the network but cant get an connection at all, the phone just try to connect .
This problem exists since GB 2.3.6 but therefore was a patch. I attached the file.
I updated to ICS now it is not working again and there isnt a patch neither.
Is there a way to make it possible.

Hello guys,
Yesterday, I was just trying to enable the wifi hotspot feature, but it just would not enable.
I am using Wolfbreaks Xperia TWCM6 ROM, BB .67.
Tried all the fixes mentioned in the how-to for the Rom. It just would not work. As soon as I tap on the option, it says error and closes itself.
I tried using Wifi Tether, but as soon as I starts, it prompts: Sorry, but your kernel does not have all necessary features for running this application.
It does starts tethering, but I tried connecting other 2 phones. They do recognize the hot-spot, but keep say connecting...
any idea....

I tried the Wifi-static app. I dont know actually how to use it. Googled and found some static ip settings. Tried using it bit no use.
Does the stock kernel supports native wifi tethering?
Try barnacle wifi tether. Look up in android market or google

When I try Barnacle Wifi tether, it does starts tethering, but none of the wifi devices are able to even detect the wifi hotspot...

The only device the connects to barnacle for me is my computer

Well I don't know. it could be just me. Hopefully the new se firmware for gingerbread will fix that unless its already fixed

So once again, I have to wait for SE to update the firmware... I hope they do it as said in August!
If I have a dodgy wifi signal it will connect with 'limited connectivity' which seems to mean it dosent connect at all.
I then need to go and fick about with the settings to get it connected properly.
Does anyone know if you can stop it doing this, I have tried various wifi management apps to no avail?

I try it and the same thing I cant find my Adhoc network
thanks aceofclubs now I can see my Adhoc network but I have another problem its stuck on obtining IP address any solution for this problem ??

Hello, for the first time in trying to use stock os on a phone, only thing i have changed is i have rooted the phone. So i don't have option to use built in WiFi hotspot, so my question is which app is a good replacement to get the same functionality as built in hotspot?

Wifi Tether from Play Store works just fine for me!
For wired tethering, I choose to use dropbear, forward a port through adb and create a tunnel over SSH. This way I can use my phone's data connection in one browser (as a proxy), and regular connection in another. Useful for browsing at work.
+1 for WiFi tether for Root. Make sure to select generic ics for the profile.

I have a 10mini with barnacle wifi hotspot but my phonw xperia S cannot find the phone. My ipad and iphpne can.
I have read it require something to be found, is there any apps that I can install to find the hotspot?
