[Q] Issue: Synchronising Exchange Mails over HotSpot - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there,
I need some help with the following issue:
I have a problem synchronising my Exchange Mails over hotspots, e.g. in hotels (Hotspot means WIFI with authentification in this case and appears at several different hotspots).
This is very awkward when beeing abroad and I don't want to turn on international roaming.
The authentifiaction in the browser and surfing the internet work without any trouble.
Does someone have a quick fix for this?
Thanks in advance.

Network GPRS setups with Proxy

All,
Trying to figure out what is the best way to setup your network connections on WM6 roms. I'm currently a Tmobile user in USA. The data plan im on, uses a proxy server. So it created an interesting problem if any expert out there can figure this out. HEre goes:
network wizard creates : Tmobile Data, Tmobile mms, on top of the My work network (empty setting), My ISP. None of them uses proxy.
Ok then I went ahead added the proxy into Tmobile Data config then IE works, push mail works from mail2web. AOl emails,YAHOO emails, weather ...etc stops working cuz the proxy.
Ok I decided to play with network management settings like a lot people suggested: I picked My work network (empty setting) as internet, Tmobile Data as private network connect. Now AOL,YAHOO ...etc anything cant use proxy server works, but my IE and PUSH mail fails.
My question is are there ways to tie connection to each application? actually tie into each mail account.
I remember there use to be a skipping proxy cab somewhere, I'm willing to try that cab if someone has it. I just need proxy to be transparents to some mail accounts and maybe applications like HTC weather.
Thank you. Let me know if I confusses everyone.
All,
Ok i did a partial fix.
Changed all the aol, yahoo, accounts to use work connection.
push mail can only use internet connection which has to have proxy. now that my sync doesnt like it, will fail with unreachable sever during sync because of the proxy. More digging. I know there are more tmobile web users out there. anyone has other suggestions?

T-Mobile (UK)

When using any of these ROM, it doesn't seem to allow me to syncronise my emails with my exchange.
Has anyone experienced any problems?
I had the same problem you need to disable the proxy for the T-Mobile connection
I have disabled the Proxy, and i can receive emails but now neither internet explorer or opera connects to the internet.
Any ideas?

[LOOKING FOR] App for p2p (file sharing) via GPRS w/o internet...any help?

Hello fellows...
I'm just looking for an app to send files (something like p2p) between TWO android devices using a restricted GPRS service, I mean, no internet access....
I mean, send file to one IP to another one....
Just for send files, text, chat...or something like that....
any idea?
thanks in advance

No ideas? no help please?
thanks
Well if your phones have no internet connection then they need to connect to each other somehow. Wifi can be used if you have a network you can connect to, otherwise bluetooth might help.
No, no one phone have internet connection, just a GPRS service for MMS sending and for open only ONE PAGE or WEBSITE to check them (mms).
Phone have a very distant from each to another one, but connects in the same GRPS network, same carrier / provider and same range of IPs...do you understand?
any idea? any help?
thanks

it's not really possible. my best guess would be to hijack MMS and send a file that way, but then if the file were over the MMS size limit, you'd end up having to send multiple MMSs, racking up your texting charges. it would be very slow, and unless you've got an unlimited texting plan, potentially very expensive.
by the way, p2p (in the bittorrent/emule sense) doesn't play into this, it would be completely impossible.
No new ideas about all this? I need this ASAP, any App?
thanks

[Q] Onetel email outgoing problem

Trying to send emails from a onetel.com account but cannot get it to work. The smtp settings should be mail.onetel.com but this fails. Can get the smtp.orange.net to work when on mobile but this fails on wifi (our home broadband is O2, so mail.o2.co.uk works). Don't want to reconfigure everytime we move from wifi to mobile.
Have looked everywhere but can't find an easy answer. Help welcome.

Mail (POP/SMTP) error on Android 4.2.2 in some networks

(Reposting from xda assist, by moderator's suggestion)
Hi there,
I'm having trouble connecting to mail servers on an Alcatel POP C7 w/android 4.2.2
I'm using MailMaster, but problems persists with other mail clients.
It occurs in a specific network, a DSL network with wifi router ZyXeL P-660W T1. I think it occured in some other public network.
I get a "Errno Exception: isConnected".
This same mail account is used with same settings in laptop computers without any problems, even in same network.
Any ideias?
Thanks.
PS. On this one everyone seems to be saying the problem is somewhere else. Alcatel says problem is with internet provider, internet provider says problem with android, android people please help me out!
