I see there are some really good devs working on the ICS roms, I am looking forward to trying them out. Before I do, I was hoping to get some insight.
Is anyone running them as there daily?
If not what are we waiting for?
BAMF 2.1 here running daily. Try it out, very nice.
Basically all of them. Even the Sense 4.0 ROMs are stable enough for DD use.
I am downloading BAMF Evita 2.0, anybody know the difference?

If you look at the details for both, one is running Sense 3.6, the other Sense 4.0. There are some other difference also I'm sure.

Bamf 2.1 is based off the most recent ics leak for the rezound and is a pretty well modded to look like sense 4 even though it's sense 3.6,bamf evita is a sense 4 port from the HTC one x,xl,s

Thanks, Coming from the int1 I had no option for Sense in the ICS roms, I am still getting use to looking for that Sense it is running roms are running.
All of the Sense 3.6 builds seem to be very stable and great for daily use. The Sense 4.0 builds are still in beta testing so are likely to have bugs. I would be hesitant to use them for my daily driver and will probably wait a week or so to let the developers work their magic.
Using CleanROM right now. Very very minor things here and there to complain about but perfect for a daily driver.
I'm excited to test out some Sense 4.0 ROMs once they get a little more testing and development.
Im using BAMF EVITA 2.0 now its stable enough for daily use also Newts XxX is coming out with his rc2 today sometime this afternoon. After using sense 4.0 i don't think I could go back to Sense 3.6 sure there are bugs but there are always work arounds.

I tried BAMF EVITA 1.0 and the screen was going dark a lot, had to swipe the notification bar down to fix it, is that fixed in 2.0?
Going for RezROM S4 RC2, At the boot screen now... wish me luch
I'm willing to bet RezRom S4 is a good choice.
I'm running RezRom 3.3 and it is seriously top notch. I see he just launched 3.4 and a beta Sense 4 ROM too, which I definitely want to check out.

I had the same issue with Newt's Sense 4 ROM.
I don't see any love in here for NilsP, so I gotta speak up.
I'm running NilsP Business ICS and let me tell you it's sexy and stable as granite. I've been running it a month now and have not once had a force close error. No lag or freezing, and I have around 70 apps installed. This ROM makes this phone amazing.

thats an issue with Newts and EVITA i can't remember what causes it, but I think it happened to me once using 2.0 so far so good battery life is good so far but as far as the screen going dark for me i haven't noticed it so far except for the once
I did a poll on this topic. You could search for it, but basically most people recommend and use cleanrom. Scott has a few different ics versions of his cleanrom Rom. They go from sense-full to less-sense.
Good luck

Good luch!
And I gotta agree with the post about NilsP's business ICS sense. Been running it since the first version and is stable as can be. All these devs have done an amazing job on these ROMs. I'd give the sense 4 a little while for polishing before using it daily, but try em and if they fit your needs, by all means run with it!
Anyone getting lag still with ICS and non leaked firmware? I am still on official and have ran a couple ICS Roms as daily drivers. I force CPU and turn off animations in them but the ICS roms are still a bit laggier than the GB roms for me. Is that just the way its going to be until we get the official ICS firmware from HTC/VZW? I always end up going back to GB roms because they are snappier for me ATM.

I'm still on old firmware too and I've used Scotts, Nils & Bored and didn't get any lag. I haven't tried BAMF yet. I just made sure to flash the older firmware patch for them. Battery for me hasn't been the greatest but I know and understand with no source for kernels it's the nature of the beast. Been there seen that before on previous phones. This is just my experiences, yours might be different.

any idea if the nwe 3.2 version with the RIL fix is better? i was not very happy initially with that rom. was slow to me anyway. but i LOVE sense4.0.

Rezrom 2.4, because I wanted an ICS ROM with Sense 4.0 and it looked to be the most stable. First time unlocking/rooting/flashing and I managed not to brick it
I was tired of waiting for the OTA, and that didn't even have Sense 4.0 so as far as I'm concerned right now this software is better than anything the Rezound will ever get officially.

I'm using my own ROM based off the initial ICS 4.0.1 leak.
I'm using this particular leak because it's an early build, so HTC hasn't made as many significant changes to ICS yet... it has a lot less "Sense" in it, and plays nicer with more true AOSP files, and requires little work to fix most of the annoying bugs. I've added in my own ramdisk, init.d support, SebastianFM's OC kernel, a lot of the usual optimizations (zipalign on boot, sdcard tweeks, etc), and its great! I am trying to get that 100% AOSP look, however I still have the stupid Sense call screens to figure out..
Clean Rom 4.5 because it works and it's pretty fast. I'd like to try a Sense 4 Rom, but I need Bluetooth so until that's stable I just can't do it. Not for any length of time anyway. Looking forward to AOSP and maybe MIUI (fond memories on my Inc) or at least kernels for better batt life.

Battery life could be better, but I use my phone a ton and have the settings "turned up" if you will. I always have my screen on full brightness, full data syncs, etc. As for bugs, I've noticed very few minor things. So minor I can't remember them. Battery life, speed and stability are the important points for a daily driver

If you're looking for an ICS build there really is no amazing one yet, but Liquid's is the best you will find with Nusense a close second. My personal recommendation for a daily driver though is Thundershed, or any of the roms from reds. I am running ikream nosense and enjoy it a bit. There is also the sense based offering of it both are pretty nice. Depending on what rom you go with there are kernels and things like that to pick up from there.
If you want something bug free i recommend Skyraider zeus 1.3. Thats what im using with the lean kernel. Its very smooth. Plus there is a sweet ics theme for it. Throw in halo launcher aswell and you pretty much have the complete look and feel of ics and bug free. Everything works perfect on this rom

As was I. I just assumed my phone had aids though since it sees to work quite well for a lot of users
Proving again that all Thunderbolts are different, don't know why, but each responds differently to different ROMS.
To the OP, remember! Flashing is cheap, don't hesitate to try several ROMs before deciding on one you like.
I lean toward the NuSense but battery life isn't quite what I need... <sigh>
Another hearty recommendation for SkyRaider 1.3.
I've been evaluating lots of other ROMs and radio combos. Nothing has been as solid a daily driver as SkyRaider Zeus.
I'm really working at using Twisted's AOKP ICS, but my Bolt doesn't love it. I keep getting data hangs, and have to reset the radios via Airplane mode off/on.
And the leaked Sense ICS was way too battery hungry for me.

LiquidSmooth 3.2:good: with the .19 radio. It has been my daily driver for almost a year now. Way better than any current ICS rom for the mecha. No problems, everything works. And it all works plenty fast enough.
If you really want a solid ROM with everything working great, Sky Raider is excellent. Especially since I like having a good camera and video camera. Nice to have everything work perfectly. I love AOSP, it is very fast, but you don't get the same functionality (dont get me wrong it is very close, but small things like camera are just not quite as good) you do with Sense. I hate sense but skyraider really is a great ROM

I sent you a private message with the link. Not sure if I am allowed to post it in the forum. If anyone else needs it just PM me.
You should check out Twisted's new rom. I haven't had any problems with it and it's the smoothest rom I've had in awhile.
So can anyone give me a rundown on the differences on these ROM's? I've seen Liquid 3.2, Thundershed, and Skyraider mentioned here. Which are Sense based and which are AOSP. Are the Sense based Rom's laggy? I've tried NuSense, and it was a nice ROM, but just too laggy for my taste. I've tried Jesters and Twisted's 11-7 version of Liquids ICS ROM, and they've been great, but I'm having too many bluetooth issues which will interfere with work so it's a no go if I can't simply turn on the bluetooth and let it connect.
I understand flashing is supposed to be quick and easy so just try them all, but it seems to take me several hours to get everything backed up, flashed, and put back the way I like it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have only used LiquidSmooth 3.2. It is a Gingerbread AOSP. Any Sense ROM tends to be very laggy on either of my Thunderbolts. And all of the ICS ROM's seem to have at least one problem or another that keeps it from being my daily driver(bluetooth, wifi, camera or camcorder especially!)
It all depends on what you can and can't live without on a DD. Most of the Gingerbread ROMS's shouldn't have many, if any, issues. Some may be slightly slower than others and look different but all should make a good DD. The current ICS ROM's for the mecha are extremely fast, but usually lack in the camcorder or wifi department.
This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905083 has most of the ROM's linked(except LiquidSmooth3.2 Not sure why all the links to it were removed, Liquid is the Man tho and gotta respect his decision)

I found basically all sense roms to be laggy except for Skyraider. I'd recommend it to anyone.

My fallback is in my signature, I like it cause it's tweakable and just works.
Infection has been great, especially now that video tearing is a thing of the past.

[ROM][CDMA/GSM][JB-4.2.2] Official XenonHD - RC [05.23.13][LINARO 13.04]
Been running so smooth. Unbelievable battery life. Not one reboot or lockup.
Surprisingly enough my absolute favorite rom of all-time:
For the Rezound:
Xtreme Outcast's v3.0 - The ORIGINAL desensed rom. Runs so much like an AOSP rom but you can tell it's desensed. For those who wish to try it (Use Go SMS/Handcent for texts)

For a different device:
Tied between Steel Droid & Sourcery for the Moto Droid1 (sholes)

PS: Yes I do still use the OG from time to time
So a good buddy over on chargeforums is sending me his old rezound with the Infection Rom on it. What do you guys think of it? The Charge has two Roms currently, and one coming, but the devs were limited due to how Samsung locked the ril (Radio Interface Layer) which prevented the devs from getting any sort of netutils and limiting what could be done.
HTC on the other hand, didn't, so I'm pretty excited to see what all you guys have. I may start asking questions once I get the phone, but for now I just wanted to see what you all thought if the Rom.

For the Rez, I love PAC personally, I like having ALL of the custom options!
Infection seems pretty popular too.

Me too! It's funny loading up the JB rom on that old of a device, but I mostly ran with Steel Droid on it.
I keep my OG Droid in my car, which was awfully convenient when my Rez got stolen, I had a fully operational phone in an hour!
I was a fan of the liberty series for DX/d2.

My Rezound has been on CM9 most of its life, and I just can't find anything else that even compares.
Ineffabilis 1.4 I believe it was a sense 3.6 rom.
ROM was loaded and probably one of the few that never gave me any problems.
@zourn
Its the only non tablet device i found with a honeycomb port lol
@Sutanrei
Sense 3.5; even though i liked that ROM. Still didn't stand out for me.

if it was for any device. i would say Redemption Rom for the incredible. On the rezound i would have to say its CM10.1
Ineffabilis Deus v1.2
I always landed back on it after trying every other ROM until CM10.1 Its almost a year old and every bit as good as it was the day it dropped.
Neo's INFECTION is great. Previously I would say version 2.3, but my favorite has to be his 2.6 Inverted Dev Edition.
Well I finally have the phone, and it came loaded with Infection 2.3 which I immediately upgraded to 2.6. I'm loving this phone! I haven't tried any other Roms or kernels yet though. I know this is probably asked a lot but, if all the big ROMs are AOSP based, how are they different? I cave from a phone with two ROMs and both had pretty big differences. Is it just the tweaks, or are there major differences that I just didn't see while reading through them?
