Help! Flashed S5830I with S5570i file.. - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi,
I accidentally flashed my Galaxy Ace S5830I with the S5570i file using odin. I was in a rush and it didn't double check before clicking on start! Now the phone turns on, the camera flashes and you can hear the Samsung startup tune but you can't see anything on the screen. It's just filled with alot of colours.
I'm having trouble putting the phone back into download mode as I can't see anything. I've tried pressing VOLUP+VOLDOWN+POWER Button and VOLDOWN+POWER+HOME but they're not working. Sometimes the Odin box goes yellow and I click start but it stops at ..Setup Connection..
Pleaase any help will be much appreciated!

Your Ace is destroyed . Only a trip to the service center can save it
Defy-ing all limits.

There must be a solution. The phone turns on and you can hear Samsung tone. There is no Samsung service centre where I'm living. I did this for a customer and will probably lose my job over this lol. I just need a way to put it back into download mode.

No thats the problem. I can't put it in download to re-flash it with correct files. I have tried a number of different keypad sequences but none of them have worked. I think recovery mode worked tho yet.

Try to reflash from factory recovery the CWM, then reboot into recovery again, and restore your previous backup (you do have one, right?).

Is there Any sign of Samsung logo on startup(WHEN PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON)

Its not mine. But the owner said that he had flash the phone. Then at the middle of flashing a brownout occurred. then he can't turn on the phone anymore.

Your best bet would be to get him into this forum.
We need to know what exactly he tried to flash (which firmware), if he tried to flash a pit file, if he ticked anything in ODIN, etc...
Also we need to know if he tried to get into downloader mode.
USB JIG
Just BUY a USB JIG You will be able to turn it on in a download mode and refalsh it via Odin

A jig won't work if the bootloader is messed up..
@OP: if you can enter download mode flash a new firmware.. But if you try to turn it on and it won't (just a black screen with no activity etc on it), better get it to a service center..

My own semi-bricked i9101 turns on but i can't seem to find the right firmware to use to revive it. All the i9100 firmware I tried simply did not work. I'm still waiting for someone to post the right i9101 firmware. Anyone? Please.... Thanks
Remove Battery, just hold down the VOLUME DOWN button, and the HOME button. Then press the Power button.
It will go to download mode, use ODIN, flash.
As for ROM, you can use FUS downloader

I don't see a I9101 in the list though...

So when you get into download mode, you cant use the volume buttons to select reebot or continue?
If I go into download mode it freezes on 'downloading' screen. If I go into recovery, it freezes on 'ARM9' screen. After going into recovery mode and taking out the battery the phone now works except I still can't go inot recovery/download mode. Should I flash it or something?

Hmm... thats kinda weird. download mode is usually a last resort fix, so i think that being stuck on "downloading" might be normal. As for recovery, i really am not sure sorry. You could always try to do a factory reset though and see if that clears it up

We need a lot more info. What did you flash, how did you flash it. Where did you get the firmware. I ask the last question because according to your profile, you just created this account today. Which tells me you got the firmware elsewhere.

To boot into recovery you want to release the buttons by the second Samsung logo pop-up. And don't plug into computer. That's for download mode.
Regardless, I don't see recovery being much help to you if Odin is not working for you.
Is odin showing that its successfully flashing your phone? After flashing back to stock with Odin, is the siyah logo at least gone?

Yes, but you need to describe everything you did and everything that happened to make you want to flash back to stock. Without knowing what caused the problem in the first place, we can't help you very much. You say you installed many roms (stock, custom). Your phone probably did not fail randomly. There is probably some event or circumstance you can think of, or change you made, just before it failed. Please be specific.

Hey,
I have a Samsung galaxy s3 GT-i9300 that wont boot up (it only shows the samsung logo).
Ive rebooted, removed the battery but no success. The only thing that works is download mode. It is still stock (not rooted).
I know theres some similar threads already however theyre rooted with custom roms. Any suggestions? What can I do?

If you flash a official release from sammobile it should not increase your binary count, thus leaving your warranty intact. It is when you root or flash a custom Rom your binary will increase.
Worst case you need to use triangleaway if counter increases

If anyone's interested, I had to return the phone under warranty where they replaced the main PBA.
The combination to get to recovery is this (for future reference)
Vol-up + home + power button. Once galaxy s 3 logo pops up quickly let go of the power button and hold in again then let all three go once in recovery.

You guy´s soft bricked your phones thats why u dont get any where re-flashing, but heres something worth trying without risking anything!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JUST GET YOUR SAMMY STOCK ROM FIRST FROM THEIR SITE
Use this Odin version >android.gs/download-odin-1-85/.
Above the country code and you can know the three-letter code which applies to your country. Now look for the date of release and select an appropriate update release for your phone.
Step-4 Rebooting
Reboot by holding Home, Volume Down and Power buttons. Remember you need to hold the Volume Down button and not the Volume Up button as in the first step. You will get into the download mode. So, you phone is now ready to get the firmware via USB.
The phone will flash a warning about the dangers involved. You should not worry as you are putting the firmware back on the phone.
On the computer, now unzip the Samsung firmware folder you downloaded from the official website. Now extract the .md5 file.
Now open Odin, select.md5 file in the 'PDA' section of Odin.
Make sure that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time is ticked.
Connect your Galaxy S3 to your computer via the USB lead. Odin will automatically detect the phone and a pop-up message will show. Now start the process of transferring the file.
Step-5
Wait for the file to download. Odin will show 'PASS!' in the box once the transfer is successful. And the phone will then, reboot.
If it hangs on the Samsung logo, don't worry reboot into the recovery mode by holding down Home, Volume Up and Power buttons. Wipe the data/factory reset and reboot.
This will in all chances bring your phone to a functioning mode. Sign in and start working.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The extent of you phone being bricked may vary, but the symptoms are often the same -- a reboot loop, switching itself off after the Samsung logo or never getting into the operating system. As long as you can get into the recovery mode, there is hope to recover the Samsung Galaxy S3,
no success
Hi guys,
your solutions are great but in my case it didnt help at all.
My phone still stucks at logo. Only download mode is possible, but odin wanted a pit file always when i tried to download the sammy firmware rom. After all i even downloaded the pit file GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit. But even with the pitfile and Re-Partitioning it didnt function at all.
My SGS3 T-Mobile can not start at all.
PLEASE HELP ME, i am helpless.

Dude had the same issue on my galaxy S2 and resolved it. You dont need the backup. I downloaded the
The .pit file for my gt-i9100g (http://data.hu/get/4697903/omap4_all_20110627_emmc.pit)
The stock ROM from sammobile. (http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=13292)
The JB Bootloader. (I downloaded the stock by Ryuinferno)
The stock JB kernel.
Opened odin v1.85.
Then i used the vol down+home+lock keys together to try to open the download mode ( but ended up in the "Firmware error " page) and connected phone to the pc. It shows "Added!" in the message box.
Repartition with the .pit and it will reboot.
Disconnect
Get into download mode and install the bootloader and it should reboot when done. Disconnect.
Get into download mode and connect
Installed the kernel through odin and reboot
Download mode again and install the ROM through odin.
If the phone gets stuck in boot loop (samsung logo over and over),
get into recovery mode ( for s2, vol up+home+lock, it needs to be pressed intermittently)
Then do a full format along with wipe cache.
And then the phone finally booted completely. . Good Luck.
Note: I'm not sure to boot into recovery and download are the same key combos as it was for the i9100g.
tried but i died
