Is there a way to pinch zoom on mms pictures that you've sent or received with this device?

Best way would be to save to your phone and do it via gallery. It would be nice however if the mms app had this built in.
Sent from my ICS powered Note
You don't have to save it to your phone to do this. If you click on the picture, it temporarily loads it into the gallery so you can pinch to zoom and such.
Mine shows a play button on the bottom and just "plays" the image as a video for 5 seconds. Your gallery preview may be part of your ROM?

If you want to take scanner - like, pictures with text, use the app called CamScanner.

Okay, so this is a big problem. My HTC Gallery app is f*cked up. (Photo will be posted) All the thumbnail are black and white, tilted, and has a sort of "line" effect to it. Like a CRT. (Look at the photo)

Cool filter on those pics.
I don't know what's wrong, but have you tried Quick pic from the Market. It is a very good gallery substitute.
Sent from my ICS 3VO with Tapatalk 2
What you can do is that delete all the thumbnails for those pics. You can do so by goin in ur sd card in dcim you'll find thumbnails. Just delete them. Disconnect your device and go in gallery and let it recreate thumbnails for it.
*facepalm* Thats not a filter...

Thanks, it re-created the thumbnails, but they were recreated with the SAME problem. If this helps in any way, when I tap on the a photo with the effect of the thumbnail taken AFTER my Gallery issue occurred, it would have an effect similar to the thumbnail for half a second, then turn normal.
Goes from (how i described in OP only fullscreen) to Normal photo. I go from da fuq to ?.

I was joking, hence the smiley. My recommendation to try Quick pic was serious though.

I would try a super wipe and then flash the Rom again. That's what I usually do for these types of things.

Me thinks that a factory reset is in your future.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
I am going to go with that. (formatting app cache didn't work) FACTORY RESET! (Then restore data partition through recovery.)
If that does work, I will close the thread. If it doesn't then FUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!
Factory reset fone
Hit the thanks button if I helped

Just go to the Google Play store. I got it there and it works fine.
Works on stock HTC DNA. It does not overwrite the stock camera app. Installs another camera and gallery app. Panorama is pretty cool and better than any market app for panorama I have tried. Pinch to zoom type, zoom adjustment is much easier than stock zoom. Has some Front camera settings. Sound is very low on videos but picture quality is good. So far I'm liking the Google Edition Camera

Thanks. Cannot disable DNA gallery app on stock ROM. Cleared the cache, but it made no difference that I see.

anyone try the samsung google edition camera and compare the quality?
I take alot of pictures and like to separate them in albums. Is there anyway to do this on this phone
Coming from Samsung so I'm trying to get the hang of this. Thanks
Sent from my C6833 using xda app-developers app
Of course you can, but you can't do it with the Albums app (as far as I know). Install a third party gallery app, like QuickPic or something.

Thanks that's what I thought. I was just wondering if you can do it on Sonys album app
