I was just curious as to which ROM you guys would recommend. I've been looking around for a while, and there are so many options, so I thought I'd ask for all your opinions!
I'm looking for something really fast, and that has a long battery life. A lot of ROMs seem to have these features, but after reading some of them are kinda buggy
What would you guys suggest?

MikRunny v1.13 and AnthraX kernel RLS04 if you want ROM really smooth. Battery life is not so good but the results overall are better on MikRunny v1.13.
Mean ROM 3.9.2 is the best IMHO. FAST, STABLE, GOOD BATTERY

Okay, so once upon a time, I was a obsessed with flashing. Now I'm old and too busy to keep up with all the activity in the dev sub-forum.
I was hoping somebody would point me to a ROM I can stick with. My primary needs are speed and stability. I don't want a ROM with the latest bells and whistles if it keeps crashing or freaking out on me. I want something that is reliable, has good battery life, and gets the job done.
I would really appreciate help with this. Thank you!

Kinda hard to say depends on the kernel and rom combo. I'm on eternity right now testing it out no crashes for me everything seems to be smooth . Also if cyanogenmod starts putting out roms for the EVO 3d you would have a sweet rom and excellent battery life.
Use CM7 for normal use, excellent batery life and performance

(don't have sense (oviusly), HDMI output, 3D camera..... BT stereo works, 2D camera works and everything else)
Use Infected rom eternity sense 3.0 r59 To have all funtions with good Batery life and very good performance etc (or try r74 if you don't want to use HDMI)
those are my recommendations
Eternity 1.4.2 with either RCMix or Anthrax kernel (or what it comes with, stock I think). Although I really like some of the nightly 1.5s Sense 3.0 roms from Virus. I'm on what's in my sig and it is really fast and stable. Decent battery life also.
For stability, everything works, ect.......nocturnals blackened or adrenaline.

I second this. I've been running blackened for toooo long now. Once I flashed it, I could never find anything better so I always return. Very stable and very smooth. Good battery and everything.

I've been using Revolutionary HD, haven't had it freeze or lockup ever.
Not much extra added to the ROM and it's quick and gets great battery.

This is def the most stable rom.
Got my new evo 3d not long ago. Now need help deciding on a ROM. I'm currently on LeeDroid with sense disabled and go launcher. However it's not as stable as i would like with a couple of reboots and audio skipping issues. Battery life leaves much to be desired too. Any ROM out there that's any better?

Simple MIUI Stable although there is no 3d or 4g and adding boot manager so you can have a sense in case you need 3g is the best setup ever and better battery life as well..
im running mean rom its pretty stock but running good.

Yes, sorry i should have said. I have a gsm version.
i would prefer stock Android but there's very few options available. it's a shame as this is pretty good hardware.

MeanROM v0.6 is the way to go - I started with version 4 all the way to 6. The developers of this ROM are absolutely doing great job.
Once you root your new toy try a ROM called Blackened from Team-Nocturnal. It is insanely fast and the battery life is amazing. If you don't like it, simply flash another ROM. Good luck

Viper ROM 2.5 or Synergy
I keep going back to senseless ROM, with the anthrax kernel. There is only one thing that bugs me about it, that is that you have to unlock your screen before you can see who is calling you. But otherwise it is fantastic. I also run Adw launcher.
I DD Viper. It's stable and thats what I need.

AnthraX is a good one for OC. But i noticed how it drains your battery pretty fast.

Best ROM out there is anything by Mik... I'm hoping he comes out with an ICS build when the OTA drops.
Seriously, though, this is all opinion. All the ROMs currently out are great and have a lot of support. None of them are really any noticeably better than the other in performance or battery from what I've seen. It all seems to be just what skin/theme you prefer.
But honestly it's whatever you like haha
KINGCOBRA 3D with HTC SENSE 3.0 & Android 2.3.4 is the best i have tried so far for HTC EVO 3D GSM. Offers a lot of customizability...

Dude, why don't I see Leedroid here?!?! I think Leedroid ROM is the best out there, but everyone is free to their opinion. His ROM is certainly the most used rom in the ROM section, so I think a lot of people would agree. I've been using Leedroid ROMs since I had my EVO 3D for a week and never changed it to anything else. This ROM perfectly suits my needs and with the latest (Final) version the battery life is EXCELLENT! But honestly, you should try some ROMs and see for yourself which you find best. Happy flashing
If you're CDMA, use ViperROM combined with Chad's sense kernel @ 1.5Ghz for speed and stability.

Zeus is awesome, fantastic battery and a ton of customizations. Usin imo 5.2, i got 20+ hrs good use, still had 46% left on stack battery

I've found only ONE sense ROM that has zero problems on my particular phone, that's Gingeritis 3d 1.2.
It's an older ROM but I'm getting 12 -14 hour battery life after getting less than 8 hours with the latest Infected ROM.
I could list all the ROMs I've run, there's over a dozen, but, so far, Gingeritis 3d is the ONLY problem/annoyance free ROM and that includes the stock ones.
NOTE: Some ROMs have very tiny problems, minor annoyances, others have major ones such as frequent rebooting for no reason, inability to make certain settings work, etc. etc..
NOTE: Tried the latest infected ROM again, battery life seems a little better, don't know why? Did a dirty flash over 248, maybe that was the fix?
Now back to Gingeritis 3D!
