[Q] Boot Screen Sound, AOKP SGS2 I-777 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Some people don't care for boot animations sound but some do, so if possible for all of us that would like to have sound in our boot animations could someone give us a helping hand. Android is all about customization and it would help me a lot of someone could tell me how to add sound to my animations.
I have tried a lot of methods and i haven't got any to work. I have been looking this up for about 3 days with no luck. Most threads end like this lol......
{Has anyone else have any luck with getting custom boot sound ? I really think it has to do with which ROM you're running.....
try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ght=boot+sound ......
I don't believe sound can be used on AOSP... not 100% sure, but I don't think it can
You can have sound or animation one of the other not both.
I have installed "the missing nexus one boot screen" but cannot get the sound file from the post to work. I have searched forums everywhere and have tried everything. I am running the newest stable build of Cyanogen 6. Can anyone help please?!?!?!?!?
Type in Google (missing nexus one boot screen) to find the link under search. It wouldn't let me post it in here because i'm too new I guess. It is an xda forum too.
}
Lots of questions about boot animation sound but no answers. I would appreciate it if someone could please help. It would save me so much time I really don't want to strip down a Rom just to figure out how to add boot animation sound.
Thanks,
Jerrell

Update to post: Posted the same question on rootzwiki and this is the reply i received so we can expect sound soon.
Akellar stated: Boot audio will be added in a future build. Already committed to gerrit.

You can't be running cyanogen 6

[Q] How can i add more options to the AOSP lockscreen?

Hello.
I am trying to find a way to add more things into the AOSP lockscreen. I've spent hours searching for a post to help to no avail. I have seen a lot of roms with more options than just the camera and unlock options but I'm just not feeling the roms themselves. If anyone could help direct me to a post I'm overlooking or help guide me on how to accomplish this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Or you could wait for 4.2 to release with lock screen widgets...

Very first post so I let it go this time.
1. If you know which ROM you are currently running, do post in that ROM's thread.
2. If you know which ROM you are currently running, do tell us (specifically which ROM), so we might help. Not all ROMs are the same.
3. If you don't know which ROM you are currently running, get to know it.
oops
Sorry about that votinh. I was trying a few different ones so i didn't put the rom in there. I've finally settled on:
XWLPY-SHOstock2 v6.0
Thank you.
Thats not AOSP.
I dont think you can do jack to touchjizz lockscreen.

There is an option for AOSP lock screen on Shostock but I don't think you can add more targets. To the OP, AOKP has those options if it means that much to u

[Q] CM10 Unofficial Questions and Problems

Hello,
It's been a while since I last came here and I decided to upgrade my old Unofficial CM7 SnowGoose into an Unofficial CM9.
I understand bootup is messed up with the M logo going haywire. That doesn't neccessarly bother me, but what bothers me is that I can't disable the animated CM9 logo. Back when I used CM7, I used to be able to access the Cyanogen Settings. However, it seems like the devs fused both the Cyanogen Settings and the Regular Settings together. I can't seem to find the option to disable animated boot. How can I disable the animation?
I would also like to ask what is the differernce between the CM9 and the CM10.1 alpha builds in terms of battery life.
Please and thanks.

Spam. Close thread due to member's lack of ability to read threads in the dev section.
As for bootanimation, it can be removed by folliwing this howto ( took 10 seconds to find it on Google, by the way)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589796
As for the second, you need to read both rom's threads, that has been discused there

Ugh hi... thanks for the replies. I tried looking around the threads relevant to the releases on how to disable boot screen, I couldn't find it. I also somehow overlooked the FAQ section about CM9 VS CM10.1.
I'm sorry if I caused any trouble. I decided to return to CM7 in the end.
Thanks for taking the time to help me out. It was well appreciated.

Temasek Build.

Hello,
I do not have sufficient posts to post in the thread so I'll write it here instead, if anyone can forward this on to the thread or let temasek know about this, that would be great.
I am experiencing sound problems when I am playing music and notification sounds are on, it makes a bad sound when I try to unlock the screen, hopefully temasek can fix this.
Thank you.

Lockscreen sound distorts music playing. Turn lockscreen sound as a workaround.
Camera not fully stable
Lockscreen shorcuts may cause FC to minority users.
the above issues are clearly stated by tema in his thread! so he should be trying hard to fix them. please read the whole thread before posting the issues that are already clearly mentioned! :good:

[Q] Imperium ROM v20.3 for Galaxy S3 I9300

Hello everyone.
I have a few questions after i recently installed this wonderful ROM on my S3:
1) When i try to change the color of the Notification panel clock, Network bars and Wi-Fi signal nothing happens (Using the Wanam Xposed Application). The only thing i can change is the batter icon colors. Is this a bug that can be changed later or am i doing something wrong? (Didn’t see an option to change the alarm clock color icon as well )
2) I have installed the ROM using the Imperium logo when you boot your phone but although its very nice its a bit noise when starting up. I have looked in the Imperium ROM features but i couldn’t find the stock Samsung startup logo in the download options. Can i get the stock startup logo and sounds? If not which one do you recommend downloading that is less noisy?
3) In all my stupidity i have installed the ROM with the stock music player (should have picked Apollo ) and not i regret it. Is there any way to get installed? Also, when i installed the ROM i thought i saw a sound mod that made the sound clearer or something cant remember what it was. Does this mod runs by default with any player or do i need a special kind of player to benefit from it. If so how do i get it?
I really appreciate all your help and im sorry about the noob questions
Thank you and regards.

Oh and i forgot to mention one more thing: when you press the Home button while youre in an application it doesnt go directlly to your Home screen tab but the tab where you were before starting the application. Is there an option for this as well?
Im sry to post here and i guess ppl who can help about this are mostly on the development thread but i have tryed to post there but im not allowed since im a new user
So can anyone please help with the above points or do i really need to make 10 posts so in can write in the developers thread where i should have been asking in the first place. Searching for every point of my issue on this forum is to much trouble for not to mention i dont think i would be able to find anything that specific.
Please try imperium v21. I tried them all ... And I mean all of the Roms .. Stock and nodded and this one is the best. Smooth as hell and no battery drain... With almost 4hrs of screen on... Battery is lasting almost 1 day.
Is the best ROM I ever used on s3 i9300. International model.
After 1 night of sleep the battery drain is 0.8%/h... Can't get anything better than this one.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I have the Imperium 2.1 rom too, and my battery is awful. over one night the battery drains 20% with nothing on (wifi etc.)

[HELP] Testing a Boot Animation

Hello everyone,
could someone be so kind and help me testing a boot animation I made myself?
My phone is unrootable (Conquest S6) and I can't test it myself, plus a test on more phones would be better.
I used some boot preview apps but it's not the same than testing on a real phone.
What I need to know is:
- if you don't get any errors while installing it
- if the animation is fluid and high resolution
- if it stops when the boot process is complete or it continues until the end of the animation
- if you can hear the audio (and if yes, if you can hear it only the first time, or also in the following loops) and if the audio fades out when the animation fades out
- if the video fits perfectly the screen size or it's cut/deformed
You can download the zip here: (drive.)google.)com/folderview?id=1lVufRicrzghKkuLD1U42vafMQ39qy-oV
(delete parenthesis)
You will also find the video in mp4 format, so you can compare with the boot animation version
Any feedback and suggestions would be much appreciated
Thank you for your time

Thank you so much!
Any other volunteer? ??
So, I have re-coded the animation, stolen a Sony Z1 from a friend, rooted it and installed the animation. And it works perfectly (yesss!)
I have updated the link in the main post. If someone wants to try it and tell me how it works on his phone it would be very appreciated ?
