Hello.
I have flashed my phone with SuperAOSP for Cyanogenmod (i don't know for what phone), but after i reboot the phone, it can't go into bootscreen (doesn't show Galaxy Ace S5830 Logo) and the phone light didn't work. Eventhough I use 3-button-combo (volume down-power-middle) to use Download Mode, it wouldn't work. and if I remove the battery and reattach it while holding the 3 buttons, it stilln't work. When I reattach the battery while pressing 4 buttons (volume up-volume down-power-middle), it was detected in Odin, but when i flash it, the program stucks in "setup connection". Help me, please!

good one, next is to flash wp7 mango.
i think theres nothing can be done except send for repair.
it's for android. i think this is patch for all Cyanogenmod-based custom ROM, so i flash it. I know this is hard brick, but please tell me anything I can do besides sending it to Samsung
u can try usb jig. but its not 100% proven to work with ace.
some say it works, some say it doesnt. its kinda like shoot and missed gamble
Try this. It may help - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13643975

flashing wrong recovery means bricking using rom manager like thing which have no solution other than approaching service center
Service Center bro!
I had similar brick few weeks ago and tried everything, including USB Jig.
Nothing worked, just taking it to SC. Here in DR was like $59 USD. (2,200 DOP).
EDIT: Yes bros... It lost its warranty due to a small hit they "found"

Cook up a fake story. Say that it bricked while doing a factory reset. One of my friends got a brand new ace by cooking up this fake story

Yes my dear fellows... I did... But they "found" a hit... You wouldn't believe how small and insignificant was it... I yelled, cried, went to different places... But they just claimed it has lost its warranty due to that.
I was very mad, but since I love my phone (and it is my only one) had to pay!
so mind to tell us what they found that avoided ur warranty?
I bricked 2 in the first 2 weeks and I got 2 new aces lol.
Love koodo for that.

you are first guy i see in xda who got caught in service center
Let me try to be a little bit more explanatory!
Here in Dominican Republic there's NO SUCH SERVICE CENTER.
Here you take your phone to the provider company where you bought it. If for some reason your phone has physical damage like it has been beaten, then your warranty is lost.
Few months ago the speaker broke down and they had my phone repair with NO cost. But then it got hi by I-don't-know-who-what-why and warranty was pufffff GONE.
Now you all got me?
Here in the netherlands ( i had sgs II
I had dropped my sgs II from a 8 story appartement building
And it was rooted but i couldnt see anything on my screen
I tried to unroot an thought it worked
Ive given it to service centre
They found out that i was rooted soo i need to pay 214 euros
Then ive brought i t back to my provider and changed it to 2 galaxy aces
One with stock froyo
And one with sgs II rom 2.3.5 now
Never had a problem with my ace except the touchscreen
Its getting sticky after a lot of every day 22 hr use

hello. i just picked up the new samsung galaxy siii for sprint. i was previously on a htc evo 4g and have been flashing roms n kernels for years on that one. i would like to do the same thing with the g3. but first i need to root and it seems like alot of the methods, and roms, etc etc depond on whether it is i9350 or i9300. how can i tell which i have. this is greatly confusing.
I9300 is the International version

When u boot up the phone, it should say i9300 or i9305.
Or
Just go to Settings > About
Look at the "Model Number" and it will display GT-i9305 or GT-i9300

No this is the wrong forum. You need sprint galaxy s3 forum.
If you do anything from this section it will brick your device.

thank you sooo sooo very much
A friend of a friend was giving us a lift today, and she asked if we could turn on navigation on her phone since she was in the middle of driving. Her phone is a Galaxy S II, definitely i9100 and not the other variants (4.3" not 4.5", physical home button). She was running it on Telus but she bought it second-hand a few weeks ago so I assume it was a Bell or Virgin model.
Anyway I could see from afar that it was most definitely still running Gingerbread, and I wondered why it hadn't gotten the ICS update. I asked if I could see the phone and I went to the About screen - it's running 2.3.6, and the build number says Super ROM. Then I looked in her app drawer and saw Superuser. She is not the type who knows how to root a phone or would even want to, so the likely explanation is that the seller had installed a custom ROM and neglected to revert it before sale.
I've never owned an i9100... If she were to ask for help returning it to stock, would the simplest way just be to flash the Bell ICS ROM using Odin? Are there any precautions I'd need to take in case something the last owner had installed would be incompatible with the flash?

To be clear, she is a non power user. The ideal ROM for her is whatever would've been on there by now if it had never been hacked. So I believe that'd be ICS.

Just flash the ics of bell version since shes not a power user i did the same for wife shes has no intentions of using any custom roms for her just basic use
and i assume you know where too get that and yes flash in odin the stock version either from here you can get it or samfilmware ics version for 19100m
cheers
Thanks!
Actually I should add... The SuperROM she had on there said the device was i9100G. Is it possible that's just because it's what it says in the ROM, and it's still really an i9100m? Cause now I see they have different processors...

Hey. You better first make sure that the Galaxy S unlock tool isn't there, otherwise that's how the seller sim-unlocked the phone. Putting it on ics may lock it back up but you can unlock it again. If you move it to jellybean though, the unlock tool doesn't work yet. Ics is good enough for her.

Hey I'm also looking to update my phone and I'm sort of in the same situation as this girl. I bought my phone second hand and found out later that it was rooted and has CyanogenMod 7.1 on it. My model is the I9100 and my provider is Telus. I was looking to update it to CM10, but one of my concerns is that it might get locked again and I won't be able to use my phone on Telus. Should I just settle for CM9? Will it for sure get locked again? I'm a noob.

Presumably if it's genuinely an i9100G and not m (I'm not sure, as I only saw the phone once), it wasn't from a Canadian carrier. In which case who knows how it was unlocked.

Ive got a phone hat has exact same hardware as s3. Its basicly s3 with stock android. My phone carrier is the manufacturer, im not from murica so yeah not verizon and and ****. i wanna know if i can use costum s3 roms on my device. sry for bad english x.x
TY
If you don't have a Samsung i9300 then no, S3 rom will not work on your phone. This isn't a forum for clones so nothing here will work, instead may brick it.
