RC should be more stable but I suggest basing it off an unofficial one since official is quite buggy. If your looking for battery life don't worry about the rom or scripts but look at a custom kernel

Cm7 by vo-1 will be my suggestion.

+1! Even this is not perfect for battery life, this is a good mix of performance, stability and battery life. Use it with zimage kernel, works great.
Anyway, there is a new official nighly made by Kolja himszlf, with his own kernel. If he succes to fix the small bugs, i guess it will be the best for battery life....
Worth a try...

Miracle Rom has a good battery life (remember that it's based on CM 7.2 vo-1 with any patch).

Best rom ?

Im new to the galaxy ace forums and was wondering if the regulars could help me figure out which rom would best serve my purpose of battery life, speed and stability. It would really help me out. Thanks !

Negative!!
Trial and error

Sent from my Ace. Galaxy Ace
Use a stock rom if u want battery life (i ussually use KS2/KS9)
Use a custom rom with overclock if u are searching speed. More speed involves more battery drain.
Use a stock rom if u are searching stability, they are the only which hasn't bugs.
The three things together are impossible. Speed will drain ur battery. Custom rom involves bugs.
Try the latest stcok indiam firmware and several others, like 2.3.5 or 2.3.6
Plz dnt post **** thread
There is nothing like best rom
All roms have bugs believe it or NT even stock has it.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
he said he's new.... chill... use stock for best battery n less bugs. to use custom roms posted, first, check the bugs. dont repeat to post the bugs n asking for solution over and over again. read a lot. u need it..!!
I think no one can say what the BEST Rom is for you.
You have to try out for yourself.

Cm7.1 vs 7.2???

Which cm version is better in terms of battery? I m currently on Grif_07 cm7.1 and it is incrediblely smooth! If the battery of this is better then i m going to stay on this ROM until the release of official CM7
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA
The other one
Go for 7.2 lastest nightly 12.4.21:thumbup:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23540759
Or edited version by itasoulos v2 or w8 till he relase v3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24489125
The official CM7 is already out It's a nightly build but it works fine. I wouldnt say that the battery is exeptional but that's probably because I abuse all the functions and features (which uses ram).
Any bugs on nighty? I prefer to wait for the Stable one, if this nightly is okay now, then Stable version will be here very soon.
Also I m feeling that 7.1 is smoother than the vo-1 or FAT builds cm7.2, which both of them r battery monsters

As far as i know only radio hase bug's . After all it's steel a nightly
U can findout ur self by reading last 2-3 page's of links i posted before.
Good luck

many people report that CM 7.1 has better battery backup compared to CM 7.2.
but CM 7.2 is more smooth.

Yes I agree with you... FAT cyanogen it's the better. But I don't try kang by vo-1.
And didn't try ( creater of that thread ) the Cyanogenmod 9 beta 8... The camera never work, the battery life is short ( I recharge it all days ). So I think that CM 7.2 by the FrozenAceTeam is the better because every things work!
( I don't attack CM9 )
Sorry for my english
Thank you for your replies!
I have an ace and I've been using CM9 for a month. I. think I'll put FAT cm7.2 in my classmate's phone

Most battery efficient kernel for sgs2 ??

Plz share your experience which kernel is good for healthy battery life ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
There's no such thing. So many variables determine battery life, and everyone will have a slightly different (at least) experience with a particular kernel because everyone has their phone setup/uses their phone differently.
Given how easy it is to flash kernels, backup & restore with CWM/Recovery, try some kernels out & see how they work for you.
