I dont really know but i think the rcs ace made by the build bot(in case of cm) and nightlies are the versions by the maintainer.. correct me if im wrong..

You can only get it on an ace if you use a ICS based ROM, it is possible to get it, just not on a stock ROM

i am running cm9 beta 3 and nova launcher is working fine on it.
We at TeamCooper have managed to dual boot the ace.
For now you can boot into only two gb roms..
