Is there any way to unbrick my phone now friend?
Jtag still not support HTC Liberty
Now I update rom.zip without system.img and phone can enter fastboot, hboot ok. But when I try to root phone, flash clockmode recovery failed.
Alwasy use fastboot adb and get error : remote not allowed
How to do more now? I don't know how to try more
It sounds like you installed the official Froyo update for the Aria. If that is the case, then you're screwed. At this time there is no way to root a phone with the official Froyo update installed.
To confirm, please go into Fastboot and tell us the version number of HBoot.
On a related thought here, where did you get that ROM from in the first place? HTC doesn't label their ROM downloads like that.

Yes I up froyo rom from AT&T ARIA HTC_Aria_for_ATT_Android_2.2_ROM_Update.exe and if use this rom HBoot will be 1.02.
And then I use this rom RUU_Liberty_Cingular_US_1.25.502.2_Radio_47.37.35.09_7.08.35.06_release_128691_signed.exe from Shipped-rom
If i uprom complete ROM, always stuck at Update system, if i delele system.img so uprom well.
Now when I go into fastboot, on screen show this info:

Now I can sure that my phone has hareware problem. Thanks for your help so much. I learn much things from you. :-*
So I’m new to the forums and I searched around and hadn’t seen anyone post this yet. I have managed to royally screw up my wifes flyer. I bought it used and didn’t pay attention to notice that it was s-off with revolution. She went to install the HC ota update and of course got stuck on the HTC white screen. Next the battery died and we were stuck with the blinking amber light. Here’s where I panicked and used what little knowledge I had of rooting to make things worse.
1) Managed to get it to charge via usb and realized it was rooted. I used this thread to turn s-on thinking I could then use an RUU to install the update and get the tab running.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346200
2) I started installing the wrong RUU by accident which over wrote the hboot then errored out.
3) Tried to install the correct RUU but it keeps erroring because of an incorrect hboot
4) Figured WTH and successfully unlocked the hboot using htcdev instructions.
5) Now I’m stuck with a tablet that still won’t make it passed the boot loader.
I’ve read a lot of the questions here and you guys have seemed to work miracles. I’m hoping you can help me.
Pertinent information follows.

Try to relock your bootloader then flash the ruu
Adb wont see your flyer in fastboot.
To relock hboot type in command prompt on pc while flyer is hooked up in fastboot
Fastboot OEM lock
Then try ruu
Then you may have to run ruu again

Mosdtly the same procedure as downgrade from official OTA / Leak, except that it was a GB hboot rather than a HC one.
unock + recovery + misc_version downgrade + RUU.
Had the OP not already unlocked, it would have been HC RUU + no unlock downgrade procedure.
Could really use help with a bricked Flyer!
Hi all,
I'm stuck with what seems to be a truely bricked flyer.
After doing the HTC unlock a few weeks back on my 3G Flyer I tried to Install cutom recovery from here.
Installation seemed to work and then I tried to go into recovery immediately from the bootloader and that's when my Flyer got stuck on the white screen until battery ran out and now it won't charge and only flashes the red LED when I plug it in.
I have done a lot of research around XDA and other websites the past few days and considering now to try and take the flyer apart to disconnect the battery and see if that helps.
Would really appreciate any advice or help!!
Hi, I had the same problem, Could you please, please give me the method to fix it!
I did all but "misc_version downgrade"
Ihave a very slow internet connection, thus cannot use skype!
Thank you very much!
SOLVED! by creating a Goldcard!
I have searched around and have had no luck in finding the correct ruu. I tried a few different posts but have had no luck in finding a way to find your ruu without fastboot. Any ideas would be helpful!
Hi,
i have some problems with my HCT Flyer (O2 branded german version):
The OTA update to HC failed, so I was only able to get into the fastboot mode any more and the device was relocked (** Security warning ** ** relocked **).
I was able to unlock (via HTC unlock code) and flash the CWM recovery and flash the Leedroid GB ROM onto it, but got a boot-loop (several fails, missing files, and so on seen via ddms). I think the main problem is the radio and HBOOT-version (11.1.0006).
So I tried to flash the Leedroid HC ROM and this one finally boots correctly, but has several Problems (no WLAN, no 3G, no working HW buttons, and so on).
Also I think the radio and hboot versions are still the main problems.
As I'm still S-ON, I'm not able to flash the older radio and hboot files.
The (correct) RUU also don't work properly (Failure 150).
The actual situation:

So I have a somehow working Leedoid HC on it, I'm able to boot android, connecting via ADB, getting into fastboot and CWM-recovery.
But I'm stuck on getting S-OFF to flash radio/hboot from the RUU.
Any idea how I can do that?
Main aim is getting a working GB, nevertheless if its the stock-rom or a custom rom like Leedroid.
Would be deeply grateful for any assistance in solving that problem.
Kind regards.
In addition I also tryed setting up a goldcard, but had no success with that.
Any other ways known to get it S-OFF?
Oder any other ways to downgrade radio and hboot to the stock-version?
Would be glad if somebody could give me a hint.
Thanks in advance.
to get lee droid hc to boot copy the boot.img from the rom zip. then fastboot flash the boot img and then flash the rom. should work.
to get s off I think you would need to downgrade to gingerbread then use globatrons method to gain hc s off.

Leedroid HC does boot without problems, but has several problems (no HW buttons, no WLAN, no 3G, ...). Furthermore I can't switch it off. All the time I shut it down, it rebootes and is running several seconds later. Shutting down is only possibel via the CWM recovery.

Downgrading to gingerbread would be nice, but I didn't manage to do so.
I even would prefer staying on gingerbread...
Leedroid GB does not boot (bootloop, several files missing, several fails in DDMS).
And running the RUU leads to Failure 150. I think the newer radio/hboot are the source of all the failures.
But for replacing the hboot/radio by a older one I need to gain s-off ....

Ok, I did so, but wasnt able to boot Leedroid anymore after that. Just got the white screen with green "htc" on it.
But how can it be, that the boot.img is required if the lee ROM comes with an own kernel?
Also flashing the kernel that comes with the lee ROM wasnt possible anymore after fastboot flash the boot_signed.img. But via NANDBACKUP I was able to restore it.
So any further idea to get Leedroid GB running?
Or gain S-OFF with my setting?
I may be confused as to you're actual current state. Are you running honeycomb or gingerbread? If honeycomb you can not flash gingerbread roms, and vice versa

That might be the main part of the Problem.
I really cant tell you, I think I'm somewhere in between.
I was running stock gingerbread, s-on and locked - just out of the box.
Then an OTA update to honeycomb was started and failed and left the device (soft-)bricked. Only flashboot was accessible any more. Android didn't boot, turning on automaticly leads to flashboot, starting recovery/factory reset just leads to a reboot into flashboot.
In this state I was able to unlock (via HTC dev utility) and flash CWM recovery to be able to flash zip files. But I was not able to flash hboot, radio, system and so on.
I first tried Leedroid GB wich leads to a bootloop.
Then I flashed Leedroid HC, wich boots, but is not working propperly. (no WLAN, no 3G, no HW-buttons, and so on).
So I think there are incompatible radio and/or hboot on it as the OTA update failed somewhere in the middle.
But as I'm still S-ON, I cant flash all parts of the RUU (GB).
And just running RUU also don't work, as the radio/hboot seem to be newer then the version of the RUU.
And also the HowTo of globatron with "misc_version_universal" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307759) did not work. (RUU shows the changed version number, but fails nevertheless).

Please provide more details;
Do you have a T-Mobile device? --Did you change your CID?
What ROM?
What recovery?
Bootloader unlocked? S-Off?
What hboot did you have before flashing (stock? custom?)
How exactly did you pull the firmware?
These details would be very helpful.

People had a similar problem and a few were able to get back into hboot by plugging the phone to computer and persistently pressing power and volume down and/or volume up in different combinations. If you can get back to the boot loader flash a know working firmware. It's worth a shot... Here are some relevant comments from that thread...

That right there is what bricked your phone. I honestly don't know why people care so much about the red message on boot to flash a modded Hboot. Most devs on the One international forum are starting to pull of their modded Hboots as people usually don't know flashing a modded one can brick phones on future updates or so.
I haven't manually flashed just firmware. I am s-off with supercid. To get most current I loaded the last tmous ruu then let it go through all updates until it was at the latest sense 6, then reloaded twrp and my latest nandroid.

Which RUU.exe are you attempting to run? If it is this one: T-Mobile HTC One 4.3 3.24.531.3 RUU then your hboot is too high. I would suggest trying this one: T-Mobile USA | 4.4.2 | Sense 6 | 5.14.531.11. Also, since you are S-ON the bootloader needs to be locked/relocked for you to run a RUU. You can lock it in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB with this command: fastboot oem lock
If Viper is running on your One without an issue then you have an operating ROM and the missing OS is due to the custom recovery you used. If you are using TWRP, I would recommend TWRP 2.6.3.3 or TWRP 2.6.3.4 or TWRP 2.7.1.2! The last one has some changes built in that help eliminate the issue of a blank OS.

Check out this post for the TWRP nandroid, firmware and stock recovery for your phone. You will need to unlock your bootloader to flash the recovery or TWRP. If you decide to flash the firmware your bootloader should remain locked. In fact, I would flash the firmware first, then install TWRP to install the nandroid.

Can you connect the phone to a computer and is it recognized?
If yes, then I would recommend flashing the firmware. It contains hboot and you may have an issue with hboot.
Here is the procedure for flashing the firmware. If your phone is already in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB you can skip the first line.
Code:
[B][I]adb reboot bootloader[/I][/B]
After that, type:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot oem rebootRUU [/I][/B]
NOTE: You should see a silver HTC logo come up on your phone after executing this command.
NOTE: if this command freezes, just disconnect the USB cable and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device reboots. Then, repeat the steps above again.
Finally:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
Repeat the same command: IMPORTANT
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
NOTE: The green bar on the phone may not go to 100% of the bar ... but If you see completed on your computer command window, wait for a few seconds and move on.
Last Step:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot reboot[/I][/B]

Hey all,
I have this HTC EVO 3D that just, refuses to co-operate with me.
Story goes -
Got it on ICS and everything was working fine on it. I looked for updates available and it found a 28MB update that I installed and once the phone rebooted with the update, the camera fails to start and the touch screen just starts going crazy and opening everything, whereas before it fine.
So, I attempted to try and get it back to Gingerbread.
And googled and googled and googled.
Reason why I have opened a new thread is cause it's sort of everything going weird with it.
Of course, trying RUU files and trying to flash RUU in zip failed so on so forth.
I had unlocked the Bootloader and S-ON is on at this point. Also had CWM recovery installed and was able to boot into that.
With this in place, I read up on the wire trick and thought, yeah it seems a bit hard, I'll take it to a phone repair shop, where they had the phone for 2 weeks and told me that it was S-OFF and back to stock.
Since they had it and I got it back, it's now stuck in a boot loop and I can not get into any recovery etc (With the original SD Card in it). Can get to Bootloader and fastboot though.
Spent the last 3 hours with about 20 tabs in Chrome opened on how to exactly go from here and I am stuck.
Got a Linux Laptop here and tried to ControlBear and it comes up with ADB and Fastboot not found (Directory points to it being in tmp..no idea)
TL;DR
HTC Evo 3D (Australian Variant, was running ICS Telstra OEM)
Unlocked Bootloader
SHOOTER_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.53.0007
eMMC-boot
Radio - 11.25.3504.16 M
Boot Loops, No Recovery, Fastboot commands work on windows.
So just wondering, where do I go from here. I don't know if the device is completely bricked now or if it can be saved.
(I tried a number of zip files on the SD Card (PG86IMG.zip) and nothing due to having S-ON.
Hoping someone can provide a procedure or point me in the right direction.
As reference, I used this thread mostly before it was taken to the Repair Shop and got stuffed.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks so much.

Hello my friend, the reason you can't load the pg86img is because you have unlocked bootloader. The fastboot commands could help us a lot, did you follow the controlbear instructions in the correct order? I think there is a way through windows with exe files I don't remember well because I did S-OFF 3years+ before. If you want we can try together some time. If you want for start we can flash 4ext recovery and a custom rom so your phone can boot.

Hi there, I didn't know with having the bootloader unlocked that it would cause any issues, but there you go!
Yeah, if there's a guide to flashing the 4EXT Recovery and a custom rom that would be great!
I have a fair idea of how to do it, but don't want to try anything without having someone of greater knowledge point me in the right direction
Thanks!
Just an update, I did come across a thread to flash 4EXT Recovery onto my Evo 3D.
Put Recovery.img into my platform-tools folder, used the fastboot command, it said sending and OK.
Selected recovery and still boot loops. No idea where to go from here now

Sorry for being late, I had some problems with my internet connection. Can you boot into recovery? Power button + Vol- and choose recovery, if you can boot tell me first which version you have and second what type of rom you want to have.

Hey there,
That's OK, I don't mind the wait, it's all good!
I can boot into Fastboot, but when I choose recovery/factory reset etc, it shows the HTC Logo and then goes into a bootloop.
As for the ROM, I want to get the original GB ROM for it because when I updated it to the latest ICS that's when the camera and touch started to get weird, whereas beforehand it was fine.
So thinking, if I go back down to GB Stock, that it should be all fine again, but I am not too sure on that one.
Thanks!

Well, we have to downgrade the hboot version first. Did you do the wire trick procedure right? You can download a pg86img and flash it first to fix the bootloops. First lock the bootloader. When you finish this report here. I have to sleep it's late here and I work early. I'll send you tomorrow. See you.

Ok, the technician I took the phone to supposedly did the wire trick for S-OFF, but, it's still S-ON.
I have downloaded a lot of stock PG86IMG files before posting on here and none work, they scan when in bootloader and then nothing after that.
But that would be because I haven't locked the bootloader. So in saying this, I lock the bootloader following steps on many forum posts on here, then flash a .zip file that's correct and then it should all work?
I'll wait for your response, thanks!

I do not think that the wire trick procedure was correct because you are still s on. Lock the bootloader and try to load the zip.

Hey, so I tried a P86IMG.zip from this thread here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274635
I couldn't find another one and with that I get an error "Main Version Fail" or "Main Version Check Fail".
I then tried RUU and RUU in zip format.
RUU comes back with wrong bootloader error. (I couldn't find an RUU that matched my radio version so I went with the nearest one)
RUU Zip comes back through fastboot with "remote 43 main version check fail"
Also I tried to do the Wire Trick and got stuck at the "ADB and Fastboot not found" even though the files are there and the phone is connected.
So still a little bit...stuck :\
Also relocked bootloader it just says relocked now.
If you need any other additional info I can send screenshots of what it's at.
Thanks!

Did you try flashing the zip after the locking? You are doing the wire trick procedure on live linux cd?

If you want we can do the procedure together some time. Keep in mind that you have to unlock again. We can search for the windows version too.

So update -
DK sent me the windows version of ControlBear via PM - thank you.
Have an unlocked bootloader.
I tried ControlBear, and because I can not boot into the OS, I start it at Fastboot USB, it reboots, then says "Connecting to Device", then "Testing ADB connection" then "Press Enter To Exit" and that's it, can't do anything else from there, and it gets stuck in the boot loop that it still has.
Tried again to google for methods for HBOOT 1.53, and am trying some of those methods, but it's not looking good at all.
I haven't even got to the stage where it asks me to do any sort of wire trick.
Also my battery in the EVO 3D has died so am using a battery out of a HTC MyTouch 4G with help from electrical tape :\
So now, any suggestions? I am trying to flash another RUU that's stock for my Radio (Well, it's close enough - RUUs are both 11.25.3504.06, mine is 11.25.3504.16)
EDIT: Tried all RUUs with relocked bootloader and comes back with bootloader error (ERROR 140). So, no idea.
Also it's scanning for PG86DIAG.img files on the SD Card - that's not normal is it.
Do you think we should give up on it, it's probably hard bricked and dead now
I think it's literally hard bricked and no way to bring it back from the dead.
As per my original post, all the details for the phone are there. And it sucks that I can't find a correct RUU for my phone (As it was Telstra AU - latest update of ICS)
AHH I don't know.

First of all you should be unlocked now with 1.53 hboot. Download from here the latest 4ext recovery (4EXT_Recovery_Touch_v1.0.0.6_RC3)
It's in my mega account don't worry about malicious software I downloaded it 5 minutes before doing this post. If you don't have unlocked your bootloader do it with the tokens HTC sent you in your email. Flash this recovery from fastboot (fastboot flash recovery "recoveryname".img). After that remove the battery and re-enter fastboot mode (Vol down+power button) and choose recovery. If you manage to boot into recovery from there tell me to send you a link for a rom to flash. I don't believe its a hard brick.

Try doing:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery "recovery".img
fastboot format system
fastboot format boot
And if it still doesn't let me send you a boot.img in some minutes to try flashing it.
EDIT: And something last, you can still do the controlbear trick while not in OS, its easy if you wanna try let me know.
