The camera app on aokp roms sucks really hard sometimes but, is there anyway we can change the camera app on aokp roms?

you can check the functionality of any third party Camera App from Market, like "Camera ICS"
I had found this one very nice and an alternative for my native MIUI camera which gives treble while shooting the videos sometime
i like 360 camera, 1 it's a good looking app, and has a bunch of extra FX

From what I know, zoom function doesn't work for our phone's camera in custom roms, I don't know about stock roms for I never really used stock long enough to know. The solution I found is to use an app named Camera Zoom FX. It's a paid app though.
Just to share ;-)

Are there any camera apps that you can download in addition to the current camera. I am using CM10 4.1.2 JB on an Evo 3d and it is limited in its features. and If so how do you install?
thanks,
Try searching the market. Tons of camera apps with more features. I have liked camera 360 and camera zoom fx.
Try browsing or searching first.

I've been looking on the market for the best camera/photo edit app out but havent been able to find one. Coming from an iPhone I used the Camera+ app and lover the HDR features along with full control over photo editing and filters. Any suggestions?

Camera FV-5 has become my replacement camera for the stock cam on my Note 2. FV-5 gives you features you would find on a DSLR camera. Pro HDR Camera is great for the times you want HDR and last but not least Vignette camera.
for editing, I like Picsay Pro, Perfectly Clear and definitely Adobe Photosho Touch(A tad pricey but worth it).
Anyone who has a P769 should be warned that the new Google Camera/Gallery APK has a major flaw on this phone.
I can't seem to find a fix for the google camera app to allow 1080p to work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340858
If you attempt to change the video record mode to 1080p, you'll end up getting force closes. It just doesn't work.
Why use it? If you are using stock android 4.1.2, you are better off using the stock LG video recording app since 1080p works.
Also, Photo sphere just doesn't work in anything less then 4.2 either for obvious reasons.
Good to know thank you.

I know there isn't any way of getting Samsung camera on ASOP rom (them not being open source and all), so what my question what are so the cameras do you guys use on ASOP? is there any developer out their that already has .apk for a good camera that I not aware of? of some other ones from play store! So let me hear your opinions, I'm curious! ( I'm not a fan of Google camera at all)
I've been wondering the same thing, the Samsung camera is the only thing that keeps me coming back to touchwiz.
