Exactly this steps only for root with the stock rom :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586223
and then install superuser app

Did you check the apn settings

It is exactly the same as AT&T use, do you recommend that i make a recovery from my original stock room and start again ?, if i make a recovery to my stock rom it remains rooted or i need to root again ?

Hi it seems you have the T-Mobile radio antenna installed. I'm still a noob at this but look at my post called "flash Samsung galaxy note i7i7 back to at&t" towards the end of the comments they'll be talking about a att-stock-odin-antenna or something around those lines just download it and no need to unzip/extract it and you should have 4g GPA/lye back on your note also you need Odin which I assume you have.
2nd edit: also this doesn't clear your root/flash only the antenna is updated

Just for the records, i´ll be able to fix the problem flashing again the original AT&T stock radio at :
http://m-s-j.net/dagnarf/phone-odin-att-stock-radio.tar
I´m using this i717 with the original AT&T stock rom rooted with original stock radio from AT&T in Telcel mexico with no problems at all, for some reason the original radio can´t recognize the Telcel signal as 3g/4g, just reload the radio again from the link above and everything works fine now !, Thank you every one, specially zacharyXD !

But I'm almost positive everyone else I call will give me similar replys. So if you guys know anything please post!!
I wouldn't bother waiting for Bell to push an update.

Darn... well I tried to flash my s2 but problems occured (such as application error forcing me to leave the application and a pop-up would show, or random shut downs). This made me to flash back to the stock Bell firmware, but even after that there seems to be some problems and also the bootloader logo is now changed to a i-9100 logo instead of a i9100m logo. Please help. I did follow all the instructions that were given in the threads to flash but I guess I messed something up.... Any ideas?

I'm not sure.. I might want to send the phone in for repair. There seems to couple of problems that reappears even after reinstalling firmware.. so... I'm not sure. I just want to know how to install a firmware that would make everything work correctly on my galaxy; within the warrenty limits.
Check here for a thread along the name of "how to update bell galaxy s2 to 2.3.5" it explains everything.

If you want logo back then flash bell kernel and I do a full wipe. Your i9000m will be back. Actually if you had followed flashing instructions properly you would not have problems with 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 either.
You obviously need to learn more but here is a free tip. Don't even dream sending it for service to bell with i9000 logo! Or any traces of flashing. You would be better of if it was dead. That is unless you like to pay for out of warranty repairs.

Yep I tried everything.
1) download the firmware I want to use.
2) check kies and all of its applications are closed
3) turn phone off
4) take sim and memory card out
5) get it to download mode and insert usb
6) turn on odin and input all the downloaded files
7) start the odin program
8) once everything is downloaded and loading is complete on the sgs2 take the usb port out
9) finished!
These are the procedures I take.
Anything missing or should I correct?
And also, how do you change the bootloader?
PLEASE HELP.
And what other ways can Samsung detect that I flashed???

Do a factory reset. Then flash the orignal Bell firmware, kernel, modem and CSC. Downloads are listed in this thread. If you want to send it in for repair then you will then need to buy a $5 USB jig off ebay to reset the custom ROM counter before sending in for repair.

Anyone installed the T-Mobile stock ROM and radio yet?

I was reading in the tmobile galaxy note android development section of xda that someone has successfully flashed a stock T-Mobile note ROM image (rooted) and modem to our Att model.I attempted it but got stuck on the glowing Samsung symbol.Luckily i had a nandroid backup to restore to.Just curious if anyone has tried it on this model and been successful.

Yes, I have installed both. I uninstalled the T-Mo modem, as I found the Blaze ICS modem worked better for me.You need to try various modems and pick the one that is best for you. But I still have the T-Mobile rom. I like the wifi calling, it works well.
Can anyone link to these? I'd like to try the Tmo rom.
there is more involved than just flashing the rom/modem if you want it done right. There is a great thread in the tmobile GNote forum explaining how to do it. You have to flash the tmobile img file. I consistently got 6-9mb speeds but the real benefit is being able to use the wifi calling. Weird thing was that in order to get back to the i717 setup I had to revert back to stock, the re-root and flash twrp all over again. Only took a few minutes but just know that that is what it takes.

I get er05 sim card error for wifi calling
I am running stock tmobile on the i717 and everything works very well except the wifi calling. I get the er05 invalid sim error. My sim is tmobile sim... . How can I get the wifi calling to work?

FYI T Mobile rom works fine on ATT G2

Not responsible for damaged phones, use at your own risk!
I installed the Stock rooted T Mobile rom by Scrosler posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459677
After flashing that rom from recovery, I used Scrosler Stock loki'd ATT boot img found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45755689&postcount=3
After booting, you have to setup an ATT APN. I used this one found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41717915&postcount=9
APN settings are found under System settings / tethering & networks / mobile networks / access point names / "menu soft key" new apn. Be sure to save when done.
After this you have a completely functioning T Mobile rom with theming for the home launcher on your ATT D800
Of course build prop will need to be changed to ATT settings, but will work as is.
Thanks to Scrosler for all the need files and his time to do this!
Edit, you can load the build prop from clean Rom 1.1 to get it back to ATT.

i might try this out myself. don't know what it does for the bands, but i unlocked my at&t G2 when i first got it and i've been able to get T-Mobile 4G and 4G LTE service with my T-Mobile SIM. coverage and speeds are not as good as at&t in a few spots.
@op - what other benefits (if any) have you seen with the T-Mobile ROM? thanks.
The roms are basically the same, however the T-Mobile Rom has launcher theming built in. Hopefully in the future this will help developers build for more than one carrier.

looks like you forgot step 2 in the original post (flash the att loki'd boot image). reboot to recovery using the hard keys (see this post for steps, copy the att loki'd boot image to your phone and flash with TWRP and you'll be good to go. or, you can restore your backup from TWRP (assuming you made a backup).
thank you so much I am back in to recovery and flashing my nandroid backup. I am going to give this another try but want to just clarify that I am doing it correctly. If I understand properly I need to flash the T Mobile firmware. where I need the clarification is do I just simply put the boot image as the second file to flash so that they flash one after another, instead of what I tried the first time which was to flash the firmware first then go back into recovery and then flash the boot image which is what screwed me up first time. Does this sound like I have it under control this time
Why did you do this? The only plus so far I see is you got rid of the att on the left top corner?

good news!! I have the ROM up and running the only thing left to do is the new APN setting for AT&T but the file you indicate to use is the same exact file for step 2 am I missing something? Also if that is the right file do I just simply flash it like normal, or is there a different method to apply it? thanks again for all of your help sorry to be a pain in the butt

IM porting. This is not a porting. What I am doing is a but more complex than flashing another ROM and changing the boot image.

Nope, I can post a launcher later, I have them working fine on my AT&T G2 running CR 1.1
Also, just an FYI, you can use the Korean version and the Verizon version as well...
But on the Verizon version the kernel is built to read the sensors different and you will need to swap the kernel modules because of this.
Also, you can swap the APN file too before you flash and yo wont have to worry about APN's.
Just sayin....
Oh and one other thing...
I accidentally deleted the boot.img so maybe OP can upload it please?
Otherwise I will make a new version when I get home.

TWRP does this I think. When I back up my rom, it asks if I wanna backup my modem, boot and efs. I had already flashed a T-Mo rom. It just wouldn't get any data. I don't think flashing the radio would do anything. I'm still hesitant tho

You have to change APN settings I think.
I had a week old S4 and messed with APN settings and radios. I bricked it beyond repair..IMEI and ICCID were all messed up too. I had no choice but sell it and get a Note 3. I tried flashing stock roms, factory images but it was broken. I was told if I had EFS backup I could have revived it.

Aroma roms will not install because safestrap on verizon note isnt set up for it.

Need help with some phone info

I am currently running a G900A (AT&T branded galaxy S5 with locked bootloader) i am in the process of buying a used S5 but not sure if the bootloader is locked. Here is the phone info that the guy provided to me.
Sm-g900f , g900fxxu1anc9 , 4.4.2
Like i said I'm on AT&T S5 so i am not familiar with the F models and i know T Mobile is the T models but didn't know if anyone knows anything about these phones cause I'm wanting to flash some T Mobile roms. Any info would be much appreciated.
Is it rootable through towel root? Can i use TWRP or CWM with this device. It is carrier unlocked and he is using it on T mobile (gsm) so I'm guessing it will work on AT&T since they uses GSM as well. Thanks for any help.
That's the international version. So should be fine. I'm not sure about lte bands.. U will have to check that info out. The phone should work fine though.
The g900f is probably the most desired s5.. As its not carrier branded.
If I had to choose one I'd get either it or the g900t (T-Mobile)

Ok thanks. I got lucky and found it for $200. The only thing that worries me is that since it's not carrier branded can they report it stolen in any way after i buy it and have the IMEI blacklisted. Normally I'd just meet at the phones carrier store and have everything documented but not sure how to go about it without it being carrier locked.
I'm not sure about that. You can ask for the imei number and check it on swappa.com
If it comes back clean that may alleviate some of your worries

U can root from there.
Find a guide. Make sure you use proper files. (Measure twice cut once)
Do not update to of6 threw normal ota updates or flash the factory of6 firmware as it can't be downgraded I think. If you want to goto the latest which is of6 follow muniz guide
Take your time make no mistakes.
I would recommend installing a custom recovery. Twrp. After that you can easily move back and forth to whatever roms you want, trying different ones.
