I have a wallpaper that I REALLY want to use on my Vibrant. I just can't get it to center the way it needs to be. I use the weather widget clock, (Sense looking clock widget), and would like the prism to fit under the clock.
This picture was taken at Primrose Hill in London.
Any help or advice would be VERY GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Mark
I'm no pro but I'll see what i can do...
Take a screen shot of it on your phone with all your widgets so i'll know how it has to be adjusted. Then post that here.
Ok. But, my phone is not rooted. Can I still take a screenshot?
I'm not sure... I use a program called shootme and with that you have to be rooted. Dont know if there's something else out there that'll work.
Why aren't you rooted? It's sooooo easy to do and does so much.
Btw, can't you just highlight the picture and choose the part you want so that it fits to your needs? Just resize when choosing the wallpaper...

I almost always root my phones. But, I haven't really had any need to with this one. Can't think of anything I want that it doesn't already do. (Except screenshots I guess...haha).
No, that actually stretches it out bad. And, it makes the pyramid huge. I tried resizing, and it puts the pyramid right behind the clock.
If you have ADB working, you could enable USB debugging and use DDMS to take a screenshot.
I'm not the greatest at Photoshop/GIMP, but here's my contribution:
(don't know if you checked it when I first posted, but I made it a little lower. Link is to the edited version)

I used the smudge tool, hopefully it's not visible. It's exactly 960x800, and I used Fancy Widget as a guide (the one you use is paid and goes with another widget, right?).
Yeah that pic is amazing

I REALLY appreciate the help! The smudge work is good. But, the light entering the prism on the left is off a good bit. A would also like the prism itself a good bit smaller. I am not criticizing at all. I am thankful you went thru the trouble. Just not quite what I was trying to get accomplished.

Also, it would be really cool, (although I don't know if it is even possible), to still have the people at the bottom remain in the picture. It looks like they are paying homage to Floyd. Haha.

It is extremely simple.
Technically, you could simply create your own wallpaper. With the correct dimensions, each swipe would place a new background on the screen. That may take some time to figure out, but it would make it to where you wouldn't have to have a Live wallpaper eating up your battery, you could have a static image that just aligns itself perfectly.
If someone has tried this, and I'm completely wrong, do tell!

Just keep messing around with it... I figured it out first try didn't mess with anything else beside transitions. Just chose one at a time, starting with 1. No sarcasm was intended, im honestly trying to help you get it workin
its true this thing will kill your battery life! but its the only way i've found to do it. it is pretty simple my little sister figured it out. in settings choose "add individual settings" for however many screens you have. (it numbers the screens from left to right). then change each screens picture by choosing each "screen # settings" > "picture source" > "single picture" find the picture you want and voila
This app is driving me mad. For real. I've done as shown in those screenshots, but there's no scrolling between screens. It's stuck at the SECOND screen/pic.
What launcher are you using? And how many home screens?
Damn it, I WILL make this work!

What launcher are you using? Most of the home launchers on the Market have a setting to enable or disable wallpaper scrolling. Make sure Wallpaper scrolling is enabled in your home launcher before messing with the Multi-picture Live Wallpaper.

Old thread but had to say thanks and spread the word. No more scrolling wallpaper! I've been searching and searching, lots of other apps that do this but they eat battery, this doesn't! Take any 480x800 wallpaper and it will set it perfectly! It will also crop/resize for you although I prefer using Irfanview on the PC for that. Yes it's adware but ads only appear in settings. Paid version is also available.
Yes old thread however, try sslauncher, you can set different wallpapers per screen and lots of other things.

wel I saw many of us were using the ones posted in the n7000 forum but its not the proper ones for our device this one goes allthe resolution all in one from 1x1 to 5x5 .
REPLACE the one you have in system/app with this one (and delete the others you were using if you had any)
Thanks, I'll check this out.

Question, and this is probably a total noob one. You mentioned 1x1 and 5x5 in the OP but when I select the widget I'm not presented with any options for size, am I missing something?

I know this is pretty much a hit and miss about Samsung maybe someone else can shed some light on this..
When you try to install the widget if you hit repeatedly on the icon it will show more size on the actual screen and if you dotn have enough space it will either ask you to put the full one on another page or give you different size one , I have successfully added 3 sizes , thats how I succeeded I can post screenshot as a proof but if someone else can it will make it easier for me thx .

Interesting. If I understand you correctly you're referring to the list of widgets that appear after long pressing on the screen and selecting widgets. When I try tapping on the Accuweather widget repeatedly, it always adds the widget to the screen after the first tap and that widget has always been the same size for me.

After you place the widget, press and hold it and a yellow grid should appear over it. Drag the bottom right corner to the different grid points.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I know how to re-size the widget after it's been added to my screen, but I believe that is different from different sized widgets. When I re-size the widget, if I make it smaller than it's supposed to be it cuts some of it off. Where if there is actually a 1x1 widget, nothing will be cut off at that size.
Hope that's more clear. Again, sorry for the confusion.

Just looked at it, definitely three different sized widgets you have there. My next question was going to be about the launcher used but decided to just try it. I disabled Go Launcher EX and tried it on TW, I now have the different sized widgets available.

How can I completely remove the ripple lockscreen from my device? I am using Go launcher ex and go locker, they work well except when the device is rebooted it shows the ripple lockscreen which i have to unlock in order to see the go locker screen and unlock that as well.
As for lockscreen after that go locker works fine and I dont see that ripple screen. Any suggestions?
Thanks

yes, since it's a 3rd party lockscreen, changing it has nothing to do with the go launcher lockscreen. I dont use go locker I use widget locker and it still works after setting the samsung lockscreen to none.

Take it easy, no need to be rude while answering a question, then go through the trouble of editing again and explain how long it took you to find it. If you cant help it, keep your solution to yourself
I think the posters point was that you should have done the digging yourself instead of posting on XDA and making someone else do it for you. I don't think he was being rude, but probably spends time answering questions that are easily answerable with just a tad bit of exploration

No I wasn't but it seems like xda-DEVELOPERS has become XDA-spoonfeedme
People instead of exploring on their own look to people here to do all the work for them.. He'll I knew zero about Android a year and a half ago and you know how I learned so much? Doing things on my own and not expecting people here to spoon feed me.
You could have easily looked through the options before posting. Is that too difficult? Apparently so.. But instead expect other people to do the leg work for you..

You're right, if there is nothing on it, it erase itself...
You'll probably have to go to something like Nova Launcher or same type...

If you remove quick launch buttons and put black wallpaper you get it.
There are surely many other ways of achieving this.

Apex Launcher is also very good for doing this. It has a lot of customization and you can get very specific with how you want things to look. I generally prefer it vs nova. It seems more clean, organized in the settings layout and to the point. You won't need a widget in order to keep your home screen clean and you can make it look just like OOS launcher if you were to prefer it's look and layout.
