I am coming from a windows phone 7 and I have their one year Zune pass subscription. I was wondering is anyone knows how to play Zune downloaded songs on android? Or an app which allows Zune subscription on android?

I get my Red 920 on Tuesday. I want to use an app like Pandora what do you guys suggest? Does the windows phone have anything like Pandora? Also I used to use Mx player on my Android phone that would play any movie format really. Does Windows app store have anything like that as well for a video player? And last but not least a call blocking app like Mr. Number Blocker on Android, is their a blocking app for the W8 phones?

Ha LOL......Call it boredom I guess. I wanted to try something different other than Android. I was able to pick up a 20 day old Red 920 for like $240 so I figured what the hell I'll try out W8 phone. I actually like the UI look better than Android. If I end up really hating it, I do get an upgrade on my account in the next few months any way....
Try Nokia Music - has a feature called mixradio. Or Deezer has something similar - but costs for subscription.
I haven't used it but it looks like Metro Radio should voer you for Pandora.

-There is currently nothing in the store, or OS to facilitate call blocking.
As phander mentioned, the mix radio facility of Nokia Music is good (and free) if you don't mind commercial music.

is there any app which can provide a dlna server on my Lumia 920 with WP8.1? Ich want to have the possibillity to browse the files stored inside my smartphone with my enigma2 driven set top box.
I tried "Nokia Play to", "Smart Player" and some other apps from the windowsphonestore but as far as i know they are just Players and no servers. With These apps i can browse the server on my set top box but i can not send files to the Server. Is there any solution for my issue?

"Nokia PlayTo" is DLNA server, not a player. But you need Nokia handset to run this app. AFAIK, there are no other DLNA servers for WP7/WP8 but WP 8.1 has new API called "PlayTo". Unfortunately in dev preview this API implementation lacks of server functionality ("regular" Windows 8.1 has, I've played video from Surface tablet to my TV). Hope, MS will add this functionality to WP 8.1 release and we'll see a lot of DLNA servers/players in Store

My dilemma: I had a Zune (Joy Division limited edition!), and it finally died. I have looked for another MP3 player, and there's essentially nothing out there other than the iPod... and even then, you're basically stuck with iTunes. As much as I liked the Zune, I'm OK with moving onto another device... but not the software.
The Zune desktop software is *thousands* of times better than anything else out there. iTunes, MediaMonkey, MusicBee, etc... I've tried them all, and there's just *NOTHING* like the Zune software... but you can only use the Zune software with a Zune or a Windows Mobile device.
...right now, anyway. In theory, wouldn't it be possible to "wrap" a driver (in my case, for my Samsung Note 3) to look like a Zune, and keep using the Zune software to sync to my device? Maybe? Probably not... but it couldn't hurt to ask (hopefully, this is the correct forum for it).
Or if anyone has suggestions for a better application, I'm all ears... my biggest requirement is transcoding. I ripped all of my music to my server using 320k compression, and when it is synced to my device, I want it to transcode it to either 192k or 256k (depending on how much will fit on my current MicroSD card).
Does anyone have a deployable xap file of Xbox Music v.2.6.678.0? I wanted the live tile, but I had reset my phone before, which was also the era when Microsoft plugged out the services for Windows Phone 8.1. Currently I have the 2.6.185.0 as the FFU's stock version for Nokia Lumia 520.
