[Q] Car Mode - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone tell me how my Galaxy S2 keeps going into car mode without car mode being installed, it's frustrating the buggery out of me I can tell you!
I've also uninstalled the Voice Command program and it's still happening
Cheers

[Q] car mode shortcuts in ICS

Has anyone gotten any of the car mode enabler apps to work with ICS?
edit: I don't even see a car mode app installed...
Try Motorola Smart Actions
In the past I used Smart Actions to launch Car Mode by the time my RAZR connected to the Car's BT. Have you tried this? BTW: I also cannot find the link to car mode on my phone...
Yeah, I did the same thing and it worked great on GB...I ended up installing a 3rd pary car mode app which works awesome...
Did you try on smart actions?
same result - nothing launches..the screen just flickers...
If you're still looking for this I found an app called Car Mode Control where just enables car mode, not a dock shell, it will actually on load a shell if you already have one built into your phone. my problem was that I couldn't figure out how to get out of car mode and had to reboot the phone to get out.

S Voice Launching in Car Dock mode

Hi,
Just got my S3 and love it to bits... I made the Car Dock cable as per the thread in the S2 forum and it works a treat, sound and charging out of the micro usb to my car.
One thing the S3 seems to do though is automatically start S-Voice when in Car Mode. Is there any way to stop this from happening? I only ask
because
a) Its annoying
b) When starting S-Voice, my Parrot car kit asks who I want to call.
Might be me missing something really simple, but any help would be good.

I'm not sure, but try the settings, if you haven't. Otherwise, before driving, close S - Voice and then you should not have it annoy you

Haha, cheers! I've tried closing it down as soon as it launches, but it already kicks in and does its stuff, waiting on S-Voice and Parrot kicking in asking me who I want to call as soon as I plug the cable in at the bottom and Car Mode enables.
Doing my tree in!
Hope someone knows, hope its just me missing a setting.
Has anyone else got a cable or dock that lets them plug in at the bottom and enables Car Mode? Does it load S-Voice then too?
Have you tried some apps like "Dock No-Op", "DockNothing Free", "Car Mode Off"? They should disable the default effect of entering car mode, not sure if they work though.
