I had to reset my Amaze twice today because it displayed the wrong time in the status bar. Why is it doing this? Is it something with sync? I just follow this when it happens:

check your time zone in your settings... also, make sure its not set to military time (AKA 24-hour)
I can not adjust the date, time zone or set time because I have it checked on 'Automatic' where it uses the network-provided values. It is not on 'use 24-hour format. Any other ideas as to why it's doing this?

I've been searching for a solution to this problem for a while, but it seems like I'm the only one who this is happening to. Since the DST change earlier this month, my Touch Pro won't stay on DST after a re-boot. After syncing it with my computer (I have all the DST updates and stuff from MS), it goes to DST. I've let it wait for the network to fix it, I have an active sync with Google's exchange server, but it only goes to DST after a physical sync with my computer.
The even weirder thing is, while both the clocks in the TouchFlo interface and the clock in the WM6.1 settings dialog display the wrong time (i.e. after a re-boot), PocketShield displays the CORRECT time on the lock screen. This is really odd, since I thought the time in PocketShield was based on the WM clock. The only other application I can think of that uses the clock is G-alarm... but other users have reported that their DST issues were not related to G-alarm.
there is an issue it has to do with your carrier not your phone I had the same issue. go into your setting for the clock and turn off the auto update on startup. That will fix your problem. it is probably just the tower near you having the issue. I had the same issue. I have found references to other types of phones having it to. Strange but true.
Are you running TF3D2? if you are, NEVER tap the clock in it - there is a DST bug in it.
ALWAYS use the "Settings / System / Clock & Alarms" program to adjust your time.
Always apply WMDST2008-1.CAB and WMDST2008-2.CAB files to your PHONE. A lot of Cooks seem to leave them out.
Always switch OFF the "Automatic change time zone and clock" option in Phone / Time Zones.
yeah, I'm having this same problem. However, mine changes to an hour forward about 30 mintues after I change it back, doesn't require a reboot of the device. I can't figure it out.
Mine is okay on the Today screen, but the clock icon is off an hour, must be a DST bug, though what is odd, my clock icon in the top bar is a old style hand clock and not actual time numbers, not sure when it changed, if it was an app I installed or some setting I screwed without realizing.
I will look into the suggestions above.
Thank you
David
If you launch the phone dialer/Dialpad, Menu/Options/Services. Scroll through the services choices, and you will find and option for time synchronization. Make sure the settings for this is set to Time synchronize with the mobile network.
As long as the network is set to DST, so should the devices clock.
At least I know that this is the case with my TP on Sprint.
My clock keeps changing 1 hours ahead when i connect to wifi. when it happens it screws up and the date also is not changing the next day Anyone had this happen before and
know a fix? I tried every bit of thing... Please help HELPPPPPPP
go to settings tab, data services, internet time sync, and make sure it is turned off.
Or possibly your phone thinks it is in one time zone, but you have it set to another?
On home screen, tap teh clock and make sure you are set to 'my location', and just for good measure, check your region settings in
settings menu all settings system regional
Hi guys, I've got a questions for Galaxy S3 owners.
I've noticed in the lock screen options there's a toggle for "Dual Clock - Show dual clock on lock screen when roaming." Has anyone tried this and know what it does? Does it literally show a second clock (seems redundant) on the screen when your not on your home network?

I presume it is so you can display different time zones

That would be interesting and useful!
I can confirm that it shows 2 clocks one fot your settings in your phone and one for the network you are on.
It shows the roaming time and the home time. However, the home time is set to GMT, which isn't my home. I thought this was for the time zone I'm traveling in and the time for my home.

I'm roaming right now.
Roaming and home time are both correct on the lock screen
Check your settings > date & time > check both "automatic date & time" and "automatic time zone"

Simple
Just go on lock screen settings. Disable dual clock when roaming. Try to enable it again , it will then ask what is your city. You chose now your home town
If not listed just pick one within same time change. Good luck.
Dear All,
I am having an odd issue with the time in the notification bar that I cannot seem to fathom. The thing is that my Beautiful Widgets' clock will always show the correct time and as I have the notification bar hidden I generally do not notice that it is incorrect for a while.
When I head into the settings, under the 'Set Time' row it does have the correct time and pushing this does seem to fix the notification bar. Additionally, whilst I usually have the 'Use Network Provider Time' option, when I turn this option off I still get time issues. There is no particular pattern to the error either; the clock doesn't stop, it just leaps to an incorrect time (with incorrect minutes - it does not seem to be a time zone issue). I am worried that one day my alarm won't go off and I shall miss work!
I should also say that I am currently running AOKP M6 on my S3 and I am using the default kernel packaged with AOKP M6. This has been installed for a while and does not seem to contribute to the problem.
(I did see that someone has posted a similar problem today but in the 'Xperia Mini & Mini Pro & Active General' - I assume these are not related, but it is the same problem)
Many thanks for any advice
This is my 3rd moto g phone and it is giving me the most trouble by far. After a day or so, my texts won't sync properly, putting the most recent to the top. I see the new text in notifications, but I have to go looking for it inside my list of texts instead of it being at the top like normal. After restarting, it's fine, for a couple of days and then it starts screwing up again. Also, some times I have to hit an app twice for it to open, not all of them but my weather app almost always.
In the date and time settings are "automatic date and time" and "automatic time zone" both checked? If they are not, check them both and see if that fixes your problem.
