Soo, I had downloaded the BB Installer to install the v1.18.2 for the Supercharger, and later I overinstalled the modified v1.19.4. Now I don't really need the installer anymore since updating my busybox would give issues to the supercharger. If I uninstall the installer, will I uninstall Busybox too? What if I uninstall checking the "wipe data" button, seeing app data is 1MB+ (seems a lot for just junk data and I'm afraid that data could actually be busybox), will I have problems? And what about the com.busybox.something in /data/app?
Thanks!

busybox were install there.. u can uninstall it using busybox pro apk..
But I don't want to uninstall busybox, I just want to know if uninstalling the BBInstaller with the relative data will affect my busybox in any way.
I also have this question(feeling stupid)
I think it has no effect on binary.. its safe

when I download busybox from the market it won't allow me to install it on the phone. Whats up with that? Also when I download titanium backup from the market it tells me I dont have root access. Anyone run into the same issues?
Are you using this Busybox Installer? Make sure you allow the installer super user rights when it runs.
Run Titanium Backup and hit the button labeled Problems? then tap the Get Busybox button. This will install a version of busybox that is known to work with TB. It should clear up your TB issues. This copy of busybox is stored in TB's data.

worked like a charm. Question is how do I access busybox? Also marvin, do you have a gtalk AIM or yahoo at which you can be reached at? I would like to ask you a few other questions.
You don't access busybox directly. See this page and this page for info.
Other apps use the utilities it provides. The utilities may also be available from a command line in a terminal emulator.
I don't do chat.
Hi,
I wonder if BusyBox app is necessary to normal, daily use of our phones ?
I know that some changes, tweaks are impossible without Busybox, but may I remove this app after all tweaks are done ?
thx

What are differences between:
BusyBox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox&feature=search_result
BusyBox Installer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.busybox.installer&feature=search_result
Both apps do the same thing:
1.install busybox
2.customize installation
3.uninstall busybox
The difference is:
Authors of the apps

And now everything is clear for me
Current version installed : v1.20.2-cm9
Busybox is installed to /system/bin/
Tried both (even Smart and Normal Install) (xbin and bin) but my phone just freezes when I do that with Busybox Pro.
Meaning I have to force a reset with the power-button.Did uninstall the application twice also, tried even the free-version.
With Busybox Installer the application I was able to install v1.20.2-cm9 without a problem. Verified the installation with (terminal emulator) v.20/2-cm9 bionic. Yes this application is not been updated for four months, meaning that it doesn't have the newest Busybox version.
Is there a other way to get Busybox 1.22.0 installed?
this is so damn interesting. With Busybox Pro it keeps freezing the installation. I downloaded Busybox X. Click on install button and 1.21.1 is installed. Then I was hoping that I would be able to update it to 1.22.0 in Busybox Pro itself, boom it freezes again . Well I am happy with 1.21.1 atleast.
Did inform the creaters of Busybox. Hopefully they fix the file-priveleges problem.
Hi,
I have 2.6.1 installed and I want to upgrade to 2.8.
But when I want to install from Play Store, it fails and get error 505.
Then I check the APPs and found the uninstall button is greyed out, I could not uninstall it.
So I remove the greenify related folders under /data/app and data/data, then reboot.
But it still fail to install from Play Store or apk.
And it works fine before.
How could I fix this issue?
Thank you.

For uninstalling Greenify, you have to disable it first in DEVICE>SETTINGS>Security>Device Administrators. Then the uninstall button will work.

Thank you!
I use Titanium Backup recover Greenify first then disable Greenify in Device Administrators.
Afterward uninstall Greenify and reinstall again.
It works now.
