Hello,
I have a friend with a problem and I'm trying to help her.
(I normally work only with Windows Phones, not much experience with android)
For fun, she pressed the "button" "Forgot Pattern" (I think thats the correct english translation) and now she has to confirm her google account.
When she bought her phone she created a randomly account and now she don't now even the account name anymore.
We already tried to Hard-Reset the Phone by holding the left and the right key during Power On, but there is the same screen, but in "safe mode". Didn't help.
Repair it with SEUS is also not possible, because the software isn't connecting, you cannot confirm the connection on the phone.
We also discovered the Flashtool, but i don't want to do something whichs causes more problems.
With this Tool, I also got no Solution, maybe I tried the wrong way...
(Are there also german *.ftf files and where can i find them?)
Can someone help me/us?
Greetings
Max
The thing is pal is Flashtool or seus would reset the phone which would then require a google sign in anyway. Not sure u could either contact google see if ur friend can recover details or failing that, just create another google account pretty sure wouldn't be a problem

Hi!
All of a sudden my Twitter account has stoped to work....
I enter the right name and pass and the "Press here to log in" shows.
What could be the problem? I think it was when i installed DINIK's End key replacement, because now my data is turned off without me doing it... it saves ALOT of battery but it is not the way i want it... could it be this?
Forgot something

There are a lot of things that can be going on here. First and foremost, hard reset as you don't want to have error messages about missing files floating around, especially in an app as important as CHT.
Secondly, Twitter is quite problematic when it comes to connections. For instance, when Twitter is "over capacity (their excuse for a lack-luster network infrastructure)", it will kick back a login error from API devices (anything that uses the Twitter API to access it).
I have found that the best way to solve connection issues in Twitter is to revoke access to the problem device in Twitter>Settings>Connections and then revoke access to which ever app you are using (HTC Peep, moTweets, etc).
Then, reconnect with your device and you should be ok.
A new Twitter problem
Hi again!
Now it seems that i can login, but no twitts are showing and when i try to update it says something like "Access to the Twitter server is forbidden for the account"
What the heck is going on?
I've now gotten the answer
Hi!
Here's the answer:

If they knew, why did they not update in time before this happened?
Hi
I have my mozart since the 3rd november.
All worked fine.. But now, my mozart doesnt turn on. I press the power-button, the htc-screen comes and then.. Nothing! After 1 minute, the phone turns off and on automaticly. But it doesnt come out of the htc-screen...
Have you tried removing the battery for some seconds and putting it in again?
Have you tried running the phone without the SIM-card yet?
A different solution might be to do a hard reset - however, this removes all the data from your phone! For a step-to-step manual, search the forum
These are the only things I can think of at the moment...
Good luck
Yes i tried these things... Than i have to do a hard-reset
I did a hard-reset. The device works. But everything ist deleted, but not the phonenumbers and the calender?!
Are my pictures and sms on skydrive?

If you chose for them to be automatically uploaded then yes. If not, then no.
Your phone numbers and calender are constantly synced with your live account, which is why you still have them
All pictures are removed... Deleted
I cant find a option to upload my sms?! Is it possible?
According to the HTC website there should be several backup tools in the marketplace...
I haven't checked this information yet, so I bet you just have to see for yourself.
//EDIT:
As of now - there is still no possibility to backup your data.
However, the January update is rumored to bring backup to Zune
Hello all,
I am sorry if I didn't do a throughout search but I needed help urgently..
and so...
I was playing with a friend's Hero's pattern lock, until it got locked till the extent whereby only inputting the gmail's account details were the only way to unlock it...
He tried to input the particulars, but they didn't work..
he was rather sure that the details were correct..
Anyone can provide any help to this?
Is there any way to "rollback" to the lock screen? I am sure my friend remembers the pattern... just that we couldn't go back ):
Or do we need some kind of internet connection to connect to verify for the account?
Anyone who have experience, I appreciate your help! (and everyone else)
Thanks!
is the phone rooted ? do you have access to the recovery menu ?
No I don't think so... my friend just recently got the phone and has done pretty much nothing other than installing apps from the app store...
He's a first time user of Android too... (so am I...)
Btw, recovery menu wise, do you mean the one whereby he holds a few of the buttons and on the device?
Yea, we managed to get there,
but didn't make any selections because there were some important messages inside the phone... and he doesn't want to hard reset his phone...
Any help? :/
Well if you are on the original stock rom that got shipped with the phone (I assume its 1.5), then I do remember a bug which didnt allow us to get through that menu. So we needed to do a hard reset.
If it has the 1. 5 Rom you can call the phone and disable the unlock pattern. You can do this by going into settings while the call is still being made.
Don't know if you're understanding this. This is the best way to explain.

I've done this a few times accidentally and the Google sign-in has always unlocked it.
Get him to log into his Gmail account on a PC to check his username and password, and then try the same details on the phone. If he's signed in with the correct user account then it should work if everything has been input correctly.
Also, when the phone tries to auto-complete his email address make sure it's correct... my phone always wanted to give me @Googlemail.com, however my email is @Gmail.com so I had to manually change it.
As for apps he has downloaded from the Market... if you do need to do a hard reset then he will be able to download everything again via the downloads tab in the Market app,
Also, any photos, mp3s etc stored on the SD will all still be there as the SD remains unaffected by a reset. The only thing he might loose is any contacts stored on the phone which are not sync'd with Google or saved on the SIM.
in froyo and gingerbread, if u forgot unlock pattern, you could easily unlock using your gmail password. is there any similar alternative way to unlock in ics, except a hard reset?
If you have setup a Google account in the phone, have you checked this? Dunno if this works for phones....no harm in giving it a try, right?
If you set up a Google Account and the tablet isn't asking you for that info you can try to unlock it from this page:
https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha (this might only work on hardware authorized by Google, I'm not sure)

nope, didnt work
edit:
hey i figured out... u need to make 20 wrong attempts in a row... (i.e. also wait for 30+30+30 secs in between).. after that the only way to unlock would be to signin to ur google account.
also, the emergency call button will only appear after 20 wrong attempts, which looks stupid...
I need your help. For days I've been trying to access my Google Account that created my dad on the z5c. Since I did not remember the pin of the screen unlock I did a hard reset flashing the latest version downloaded by xperiafirm. But when I turned on, I was asked for my Google Account again. For days now I am trying to retrieve my password, but I can not do it. I read the same discussion on a z5, but there was no solution because it was assumed to be a stolen cell phone, the same thing that Google believes for mine I suppose...
Unfortunately, I passed the account I used on my xzp and done it, after which my father created another account on the z5c, leaving it unused for a couple of months. And now that I wanted to use it as a second phone I can not access it anymore. Is there any solution that you will not continue to try to unnecessarily restore your account from the Google page? Unfortunately they do not even have a telephone help, they only have a forum support center in which I keep saying that I must insist on trying to recover password ... I hope in a solution.
I don't get it... a full flash process is supposed to erase everything, so the prompt should ask you to sign-in or create a new account. Am I missing something ?

It asks to sign in with my account witch I'have forgotten password...
okay, but according to what you wrote, it seems that you're stuck at the prompt. If you can't create a new account, you are likely trying to access to a locked phone, meaning it might be stolen actually (and of course you probably did not flash it). If it is really yours, you can recover your password. Otherwise, nothing can help.

I apologize for my clarity. I'm trying to retrieve the password through the Google passes for several days, but with no results. The phone is mine, then given to my dad when i bought xz premium, he created this new account forgot the passwords and left for 3 or 4 months unused. Now I can not retrieve that password, although I'm always connected to the same WiFi network and I do not understand why Google does not recognize me as a proprietor, I tried to contact them in the forum where they do "help" but they tell me that l The only way is to endlessly try their questions
don't apologize, you're welcome. The fact is that, if you're not able to recover the password, nothing on the world would do a miracle. I'm sorry if you have some datas that you would get back, but the only solution for you is to create a new account. Don't waste your time trying to sign in.

Ahaha thank you bro :highfive:
No, the point is that I do not care about the data because there was nothing apart from music saved by my father. Also because before I gave it I reset the phone and then he created this new account. The point is, Google does not make me create a new account, but wants that created by my father.
If someone needs them, I've resolved doing the downgrade to Android 5 lollipop ?.
