Mine overclocked to 1,6GHz without any problem.
I use cm9 fxp 115 kernel.
Technically Neo V can handle up to 2GHz overclock, but for daily its not recomended, use 1.4 as max for your daily use.

Neo V can flash xperia neo's ROM or kernel?

I am asking this for my friend. He wanted to have miui on his neo V. Also a stable overclock kernel. Can I flash ROM or kernel to my friend's neo V?

If your friend wants MIUI he will have to use the MIUI based kernel
Which afaik don't support overclocking
If he wants overclocking he will have to use InteksKernel V15
For ROMS and Kernels the phones bootloader wll have to be unlocked
The same can me done very easily
~But you void warranty

Yes, i tried DooMKerneL (stable OC up to 2GHz on my Neo V), Inteks kernel (stable 1.8GHz), MIUI kernel works, and CyanogenMod7 from Neo works too. The only disadvantage is not working camera (it can be fixed, but there is no 100% fix for it), but camera is a ROM issue, kernel doesn't affect it

[Q] need stock kernel oc 1.8ghz for neo v ics 4.0.4?

my phone is xperia neo v on stock 4.0.4 need 1 kernel overclock! please help?
Me too!

****ty battery life. Causes a massive drain from "Android System" (surfaceflinger) under battery stats. No matter the ROM used, not the kernel version.
I use Inteks OC, but I feel that it has bad battery life too...

[DEV REQUEST] Xperia U overclock kernel ICS

Is there anybody who can adapt the KA SSpeed or make a kernel which allows overclock for ICS Xperia U?
Not possible yet...
Be patient. BTW, why would you need OC? The phone is already fast enough
Sent from my Xperia U using Tapatalk 2
The OC For NovaThor U8500 is no fully implemented yet.
We can OC our device to 1.3 GHz But no change in Benchmarks
We have many awesome kernel developers like nickholtus, inteks,ThJap,Dimon who will surely fix this up.
With OC Our Devices Can Beat Many Other In Terms of Performance.
Till Then Be Patient:angel:

and when can we get the oc kernel??

But wouldn't the oc kernel for SXP works on SXU? they have almost the same hardware... or does that have nothing to do with it?
I'd like to have a little smoother web browsing. 1.3ghz would be enough for me
I would like to try the same and perhaps other thanks
I thought the Nova was dangerous to overclock?

+1
many custom roms but few custom kernel on XU
hope devs can make another one
what about gpu overclocking?
what about overclocking the gpu?cpu is fast enough for me but it would be great if we can overclock the gpu to 400-500 mhz!

It dose increase the Performances..
But it dose damage the Hardware.....
i Play without any OC NFSMW, Heat, Dark Knight(lags a bit)
Yes over clocking the device will improve performance..
If you want 4.1-try super jelly bean(use fusion kernel)
If 4.0 try ultimate HD 3(use night elf )
They are very good ROMs...

No.The overclocking feature is just an added benefit. It's the user's choice if he/she wants to over/under clock his device. If you overclock your device higher than it is safe (more than 1.6) you would likely fry your motherboard. If you underclock it lower then you will have lags. Generally 1.2 GHz or 1.4 GHz is considered a safe option.
