I have tried this trick and it works on my SG Ace:
1. Open your phone and charge it for 7-8 hours.
2. Shut off your phone, wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it again for 1 hour.
3. Turn on your phone and wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it for 1hour.
You will notice an improvement on the life and capacity of your battery.
Hope this will help.

In pic, at 01:28 i reflash BlackHawk Kernel, before i'm using The Ace Kernel Beta 3.
does it really improve the battery?
"Perform shallow discharges. Instead of discharging to 0% all the time, lithium-ion batteries do best when you discharge them for a little bit, then charge them for a little bit. The table at the right, from Battery University, shows that discharges to 50% are better for your battery's long-term life than, say, small discharges to 90% or large discharges to 0% (since the 50% discharges provide the best number of cycles-to-usage ratio)."

Hello,
i have a new galaxy sgs2 and the battery goes from 100 to0% in about 6 hours..
i have ics on it... is it normal?
tnx
If you're using it practically non-stop for 6 hours, yes.
not really... about 1 hour of 3g 2 hours of music and 30 min gaming.. the rest the screen is off...
if i dont use the pone at all it drops 100 to 90 in 30 min... and if i use it than in 20 minutes...

hi mate
yes you have bad battery
with wanamlite rom + speedmod kernel i still 54% of battery after 2 days of use
can you give us some screen shots of your battery performance?
what rom & kernel do you use?
Post your usage statistics
hey can you post an image of your battery usage? maybe i can help you if you do that, go to: Settings>Applications>Battery usage and press the home button and power button at the sime time, it will take a picture of your screen so you can attach it
You need to let the battery have two-three charge cycles after you flash anything to get an idea of the battery length

im a new user so i still cant post images

So, I'm using the newest stable release of CM9 with Siyah kernel and my battery life is terrible. Not even using the phone for an hour, eight hours of standby, and it's already down to 30%. Any solutions?

Most battery drain issues are user related, check your apps with Better Battery Stats and install cpu spy for sleep time of the cpu. Might be some rogue stampeding apps/widgets on your phone
As you can see on attachments, my battery stats are equal... my awake time is very high, and i have better battery stats installed, it says my cpu time are 90% into 200mhz mode, but as you can see 15% with 13h of usage... but doesn't show any application draining my battery...
Anyone know how to trace this correctly?
Battery probs
Hi mate! Its mi first post i hope they will be no errors!.
I had the same prob as u and i did this:
1-Install ---> Battery Calibrator ( root need ) from googleplaystore.
2-Charge it to 100% REBOOT YOUR PHONE (program dont say a thing about this
3- Press button , all your battery stats will be correct now
4- If u continue having this probs you have to Re-boot your ROM and do all this steps with 3 wipes

You are using siyah?
Make your cpu 1200-200 or 1000-200
Overvoltage 50
And you will see the difference.

Just wanted to share a funny screenshot I have taken a while ago while using a JB/ICS rom (Can't really remember which), the screenshot is of the battery status in settings showing some seriously odd info (BTW, I haven't charged the mobile at all during this):

Nah, didn't switch battery nor charged it, I simply unlocked my phone to find it at 0% and shutting down, when it turned off I tried holding the power button again (because I was sure it was charged) and then it turned on with 1% and then kept increasing till it reached the flat level and then proceeded to decrease again!

The battery works perfectly normal now, and during that day it continued to work normally after it reached the flat level (it decreased as usual after this). I know, it's crazy!
mine did that too. till 13% to 94%. I removed the battery and put it back in.
I guess sometimes the battery sensor goes cuckoo haha.

I have the stock CM10 rom installed, and it usually does something like this that only lasts for a few days and goes back to normal. But this has lasted for almost a month now. As you can see in the pic, sometimes its says charging but doesn't "gain" energy, and when it does in drains extremely quickly. When it is asleep or turned off it still drains. I tried charging it with a different cord, then with my computer. Then I tried using a GS3 cord & adapter, it charged faster, but I couldn't tell how fast it drained since I wasn't using it.
Do I need to replace the battery? If I do, will it cost a lot, because if it does I'm just going to get a Note or DNA....
Try using a battery calibration app, people say to use it when you flash a new rom. Also, it might be an actual problem with the battery itself. Try getting a replacement battery if so. But then again, before you do that try going to stock and see if the problem is still present.

once it charges I'm going to see if that will help. and my son deleted my stock rom (long story), so I'm stuck on jb/ics.
Also its recommended after you calibrate to drain the battery to 0% and then recharge to 100% afterwards. And as far as the stock rom goes, you can restore using Odin and download mode

wow it worked, the battery lasted from 5:30 to 7:10, a new record since I ever brought the device

How much screen on time did you get?
The problem:
Lately, well it's been quite a while actually... my battery stats seems to jump whether i'm charging or discharging.
While charging sometimes it jumps from 30% > 80% > 100% within 15 minutes (this is what happened today) while discharging, it jumps from 90 > 50 (this quite often) then to 20% > 5% then off. My max usage time without charging is usually less than 1 hour.
I've tried to do battery reset (charging while the phone is off until full, reset battery data, then use it till it 100% drained)
I've tried to charge from 30% to about 80/90% then use it as usual.
I used original charger from motorola, used blackberry charger, samsung charger, no difference.
Unfortunately no good. Currently the ad hoc solution is to use battery powerbank constantly while I'm not near electrical plug. But its bulky and well not the best solution.
My question is, does the problem lies in the battery or at the battery controller. Is there anyway to test where the culprit is?
Thanks in advance
Battery daemon Moto uses is imperfect in calculating the battery percentage.
However, the jumps you experience and the backup you're getting, looks like your battery has worn out.

Hi, thanks for the input. My question then, will replacing the battery help to solves the problem? Cos lately the battery stats seldom runs over an hour. Here's a screenshot of my latest battery stats...

Your battery is definitely worn out. Replace it.
A new battery will certainly remove the issues..
Use the 10% mod though else you might still have infrequent jumps..
