I was wondering if anyone else has issues on the ICS update regarding delivery reports? My messages go through, but I check the message details and it says pending and I am not able to receive a confirmation that it sent. Anyone have a fix?
Okay so it is weird. I have to turn on WiFi calling then turn it off in order to get message delivery reports back, but not for mms. Sort if solved, but I wonder if there is more of a permanent fix.

Has anyone set up delivery reports?
I have went into the text message settings, ticked the box to receive delivery reports but when I send a text it doesnt say if it has been sent or not, even though I've had replies so I know it is.
Hold down the selected text message and select 'view message details' and it shows 'report requested' but still doesn't say delivered.
Any ideas on how to view reports?
I have delivery reports ticked in settings and I do recieve the reports.
Did you make sure you ticked the delivery reports under SMS (not MMS)?

I have double checked and it is for text message SMS settings. Where about do you see the reports? Maybe i'm looking in the wrong place or have some view settings wrong.
I long press on a message and on the pop up menu I pick "view message details" and next to recieved is the delivery date stamp.
For the record I also ticked delivery reports and read reports under MMS.

I'll give the MMS ones a tick and see how that gets on. Also going to restart the phone, I only put the reports on last night but have sent/received texts since and doesnt show any reports.
Goes without saying some networks don't support delivery reports no matter what you set on the phone :-(

I'm with o2, I'm not sure if they do or not?
After ticking the MMS reports I still cant get any reports after sending texts.
O2 doesn't support delivery reports

o2 Germany does support delivery reports. Seems like o2 outside Germany doesn't, heared that delivery reports didn't work from o2 UK users, too.
They don't work for me either on Rogers.. Will try the *0#.
EDIT: Okay it does work I don't need to use *0# I just had the settings wrong.

the modifications i made have nothing to do with #0. they work in all gsm networks.
I'm running Bamf GB 2.1 and I experienced the same issue on Bamf sense 3.0 GB rc3.
received messages are not displayed in order as they are received. i have to scroll up and down checking time-stamp in order to find newest message. anyone else experiencing this?
Go to the market download SMS Timefix and problems solved, it's a known issue with GB

this solution worked for me for a while but now my phone "figured out" how to get around the fix! now when I receive messages the time is off! basically I received a message around 6:01, responded, received another message and realized that messages are not in order. I checked time stamp on my 6:01 message and it shows 7.01! it happened more than once.
I tried reinstalling sms time fix at no avail.
Anyone else have issues with texts sometimes not sending and then suddenly sending a bunch at once?
I don't notice it on my end, and this comes when I use handcent since I have GV forward texts to the phone and have notifications turned off for GV on the phone.
So even though my phone shows the text as sent there have been multiple times when people will receive 10 or so texts at say 5 am.
Then today I just received 2 that were sent on sunday but they even just arrived in GV as well as the phone.

I've experienced the same issue. Also have GV enabled but am using a stock ROM and the stock messaging app. Very odd behavior. Stock message app indicates the sms was sent, but GV and the receipt have not received.
At some future point in time, sometimes a few days later, the SMS will be correctly sent and GV will show and receipt will receive. Haven't been able to narrow down the issue. Very odd bug.
I would speculate its either related to some delay between Sprint and GV or some delay on our device ... My friend has no issues with their NS4G using Sprint and GV so that leads me to think its related to our specific device ...
Any other information anybody has gathered could help us narrow the issue down?

On the original Incredible, the SMS and MMS Delivery Report option on the stock app requested a receipt when your recipient received the message, and silently updated your message with a checkmark when they received it. However, on the Inc 4G, it abruptly vibrates and plays my notification sound when the report is received. I've tried changing all the different settings about vibrating and notifications, while still leaving Delivery Reports on, and either it turns off all notifications and vibrating or it's still there.
So, the question is has anyone tested around specific settings to prevent getting the obnoxious notification rather than the silent update with enabled delivery reports with the stock messaging app? It's not something absolutely necessary to keep it on, just something I prefer.
I had the same issue and just couldn't figure it out. I wound up just turning off the request delivery report option since it was so annoying getting the full notification. It does at least still let you know if there was a failure. But yeah... WTF??
It seems like they basically ruined that functionality.

Yeah, pretty much. I turned it off soon after I made that post. I couldn't stand getting a text immediately following sending one every single time.
Is it just me or does this happen to everyone? It happens every time not randomly.
I get a hangouts (or text though hangouts) and I reply by voice with watch. If someone sends me a message again before my message says sent (or even right after with in a couple seconds) then my message never goes through unless I go check the dialog chat even though I get the green check box saying sent...
Very annoying! !

This is happening to me sometime but still haven't got to replicate and troubleshoot this issue
I am having the exact issue as well. It doesn't seem to be limited to just getting another hangouts message, but another notification period.
Getting a notification around the same time seems to almost always cancel my outbound message and it doesn't show up anywhere even though the watch says Sent. I have no idea how to fix this, is there any direct way to report these problems to the development team?
