I updated the stock Netflix app via the Play Store and it seemed to work fine except it keeps downloading and installing the update over and over again. Sometimes when I run the app it is the 1.6.0 stock version.
So, I deleted the Netflix app out of /system/app and copied the newer version there to replace it. That didn't help. It isn't that it is a big deal, either version works fine but now I am really wondering where the old version is coming from since I deleted it.
I am seeing it download every day as well. I haven't spent too much time on hunting it down and removing it to make it stop, but it is quite annoying.
So, I have tried removing it from /system/app but then periodically the Nook copies the old version to /data/app deleting the new version from there. Even if I remove write permissions, it still happens. Haven't figured out where it is getting the original file from either.

Got my gtab a few weeks ago and it's been working great. installed TNT Lite 4.4 on it and love it. Got the market working after some initial trouble, but it was working (i could find Launcher Pro, Dolphin HD, etc)
Tonight, i launched the market and it prompted me to accept the license agreement again which was odd as it hadn't done that since I first launched it after the new FW load. When i go in now, I can't find any of the previous apps i had searched for to verify that the market fix worked. I've done the fix again 5 different times (either via the clear cache and force stop via settings or using Titanium backup to wipe data for Google Frameworks)
Anyone have any suggestions?
The same happened to me, but I did the fix again and it worked. Be sure you're doing all the steps w/ Market and Google Framework, etc.
This tends to happen when a newer version of the Market is pushed down to your phone. You'll just have to repeat the Market fix steps, sometimes multiple times until it's working again.
Does anyone else have issues with downloading and installing apps sometimes? I find I can update already installed apps but when I see an app I like it will hang and say please wait iirc and an orb will just rotate constantly.... Previous version works but as soon as you remove update in applications it works but then instantly the market is updated to New version.
Yup, it takes ages for the new market to load apps, sometime it gets stuck the way you mention and i need to delete data and market cache in order for it to load apps in the market or installed apps. Hopefully they will fix it in a new update.

Hi,
Having finally decided I have had it with the stock rom after this last update crashed my system I flashed Calkulin +Clemsyn Combo Overclock. I was not disappointed with it but I am running into one problem. As I am installing all of the apps I had before I can not get the B & N Nook app to reinstall. Actually it installs fine but when I try to sign in to the app it keeps saying I have no WIFI which isn't true. I uninstalled the app and deleted the folder from the SD card. I went to FreewareLovers and found the older versions of the app. I installed it and while I can at least sign in with that one it will not sync my library. I called B&N and they were of no help. They did say that it was not a problem with my account. This is the only app I have had problems with. I teach using e-books so I really do need this app. I have checked the date and time also which can cause problems with these e-book apps. If anyone has found a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, I've looked all over and couldn't find anyone asking the same question, so here it goes. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Back in November I rooted my stock Nook Tablet. I did not install any other ROMs, I just rooted it and used the method to make the software version 9.9.9.
Due to some school things I haven't picked my Nook Tablet up until recently. Tonight I noticed that both the Fandango and Words with Friends apps needed to be updated. So I went to the "Apps" library and tapped "Check for Updates." When I did this, it told me that all apps were up-to-date, despite the fact that both the Fandango and WWF apps still said they needed to be updated.
I suspect this has something to do with the version 9.9.9 thing, but I am not sure, so I jumped on here to ask if anyone has any idea what's up.
Furthermore, I've noticed that if I install WWF Free from the Android Market, by Nook App of WWF no longer says it needs to be updated until I actually click on the app.
Everything else related to the Nook works fine. Downloading books, magazines, other apps, etc. But for some reason, no updates are showing up as available.
Anybody have any idea what's going on? I'm stuck. Once again, any help is appreciated!
Hmm. Ok, so I did some more investigating. It looks like you can force the app to update without using "check for updates" by archiving the app and then un-archiving it.
This is just a work around, but if anyone else has the same problem, this looks to be a way to fix it for now.
I have had the same problem.
I have a similar work around....I use Go Launcher to uninstall the B&N apps and then after a reboot I go to the Nook App Store and redownload the apps. MOST of the time it downloads the new updated version, but sometimes I have to do this process several times to get the new version.

I don't know why google play store wants to crash all of the sudden as it worked fine yesterday and I haven't done anything that would upset it.
I've checked if the app "downloads" was disabled which is was not.
I've cleared cache and all that stuff to no avail.
I've deleted my google account on the phone.
I've uninstalled play store, rebooted, downloaded the newest apk and installed it
I thought maybe it was the new 4.4.21 update that broke it but after installing an older 4.3.10 and still no fix I don't think that's the issue.
I've been doing lots and lots of reboots after several of the above mentioned tries.
I'm using a modded ROM and I'm rooted as well if that's important.
I've deleted some stuff in the root folder with X-Plorer as well but that was way before this happened, maybe two weeks ago?
I've also got SD Maid installed and am using it rather frequently, maybe it deleted something that was needed in the root folder?
BTW, in some apps, a pop up appears with something about that it's unable to communicate with android market. I don't recall I ever had that installed?
I'm at a loss here and I'm about to go crazy or something and I really want it to work.
Try installing it as system app and see if it works.
