Hello
To root my device, do my customization version have to matched with those available here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944569
I have this: Saudi Arabia Generic 1257-7770 , and I can't find any suitable root..!!
Thanks.
For now, to achieve root, you need to flash a pre-rooted system.img file and its matching stock ROM. Please see here for a list of the stock ROMs that have pre-rooted system.img files.

Flash DooMKernel. If you don't like it, flash back to stock afterwards and root will stick.

It is always suggested to take a backup of stock rom before installing any custom rom..have you taken any backups?
I did not make a backup when I flashed custom roms because I was a complete noob and I just flash a custom rom. Btw thanks for your reply.

Download any rom for ur device which completely works with stock kernel....
Then 1st do necesary wipes
Install custom rom
Flash stoock kernel...
Boot. Properly
And then try with pc companion or SEUS
But if I'm using a custom kernel and if I flash a rom that is compatible with stock kernel wont recovery will say incompatible kernel found? I've tried that before.

Dude I mean a rom which is compatible wit both stock kernel and custom kernel
Well then can you tell me which rom is compatible with both kernel please? Thank you

u have already installed naa kernel, meaning that you have unlocked bootloader. this article said that you can update through SEUS if you have unlocked the bootloader. i'm not experienced with x10mp bootloader issue before this but my gtab7 experienced bootloader problem after unlocked, flash the stock bootloader and solved the problem.
but you said that you have flash the stock kernel and still cant install through seus. why dont you try to reinstall seus, mybe something wrong with it. and btw,did you manage to flash stock kernel successfully?

You dont need stock kernel if you have locked bootloader. It cant be deleted on locked bootloaders. If you run any rom without custom kernel, the stock one will be loaded instead.

If you still in locked bootloader, there is 1 safe way:
Xrecovery, fullwipe, wipe cache partition...will get semc kernel and data reset from beginning
NOTE THAT THESE ACTIONS WILL CLEAR ALL USER'S DATA!!!
Even you want 3.0.1.G.0.75 kernel, just in case if bad things happen in future:
Here
Done. Hope helps.

Hi! I recently unlocked my Xperia S bootloader and flashed XSX kernel. IF I flash the stock kernel again, will I lose recovery+root? Thanks in advance!

I did the same today, installed the GB 6.0.A.3.76TW firware and then fastbooted S-DooMKernel-v04 and then just flashed the original kernel.sin from the .76TW firmware. The system is running perfectly fine and smooth n i still got the root access.
Okey so im facing the following issue here: I have the FXP v136 9.1 Rom/kernel at the moment but i want to revert it to stock.
however, my backup is gone because my SSD died. sooo, how would i get the stock rom/kernel back? (i could download the 6.1.A.2.45 stock ROM) and flash this through clockwork recovery (not sure how you call it, the fastboot recovery mode)
however, i dont have the kernel (unless its in the 6.1.A.2.45 ROM file)
not sure what i have to do here
just flash stock 2.45 firmware using flastool with flash mode

Well, you could always flash Advanced Stock Kernel and find a stock FTF. You can rename the FTF to zip and extract the kernel and flash it.
Please hit the thanks button if I helped

Brother, you flashed a jelly bean kernel so you can just run CyanogenMod10 based roms(android 4.1.2 roms)
If you're going to flash a gingerbread rom(CyanogenMod7) (android 2,3) you must use a gingerbread kernel like : "nAa 14 gingerbread for x10mini"
Good Luck
