Hello all,
I have the strangest issues with one number in my contacts.
When I text the number it fails, I double checked, the number is correct, I deleted his contact and noticed a capital N in front of his number. I manually typed his number to text and again it failed to send and again it had put a capital N in front of his number
Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? Or any suggestions?
Thanks you.

Maby you can try changing the number on your pc via your google account and then syncing your contacts with your phone.

It automatically sync when you sign in with your google account at start.
Also be sure to check data sync service in settings and make sure calendar is checked in google sync.

I am seeing the same thing... My droid always uploaded everything and now my Thunderbolt doesn't. The Apps don't go to the Cloud either. It says when I setup the google account that it's going to sync but I don't see it doing anything. I reformat nothing comes back....

Seems there's often a delay between the syncing of Google and my backup.
Sometimes when flashing roms ill get all my contacts at once other times it seems to take awhile.
Best option is to export your contacts to sdcard occasionally.

Well that's dumb. Does anyone have a solution?

I noticed this too. Not sure why this is happening. Maybe the GB build does not have the Google sync functionality working properly?

I suggested a solution, export contacts to sdcard.

That kind of defeats the purpose of an android phone then.. its made so everything is synced with google regardless of which device you are using
Hm, im not using a GB build, im using perfect storm weird

I was having this issue as well, and read about it somewhere on here.
Google.com/contacts is your friend. Use it.
If you input a contact, via the phone, make sure you change it from a "phone" contact to a "Google" contact.
Problem solved. ;-)

Ah thanks, for some reason if you add a contact from another app it would default to the "phone" contact option with no option to change to google.
Thanks

Is there a way to make the Google way default?
I was flashing a new from from omega . Everything went well except my contacts got wiped. Some name still show but it has no numbers. I did a titaniumbackup prior to flashing but when I try to restore...nothing changed..any advice on how to get all my contacts back? Not sure how it wiped it especially when the contacts were on my SIM card

If your contacts were secured via your Google account, you can easily restore by syncing your device with the account
Hope this was helpful

Yes googles is the best for restore
I went back to 4.1.2 recently and while I was trying to do the google setup I noticed I forgot to flash the at&t modems so my wifi wasn't working, I went back to flash it and when I reboot my google setup had been complete only with no restore on anything, I think I lost all my contacts no apps, but maybe if I can restart google setup I can restore them?anyone know how without reflash?
I can't remove it in accounts and sync

I don't know if this is why, but it appears Google is having sync issues right now.

Can you see your contacts if you sign in to Google on a PC? You said you can't remove the account in Accounts & Sync? Why not? Does it give you some sort of error?

Good question, but at least you know they aren't lost. I would try to find out why you can't remove that account. If you could remove it, then add it back, they should sync. If all else fails, you could reflash.
I have tried everything but for some reason my calenders and contacts do not sync from my active exexhange account and my gmail account. It worked kind of the first time but only synced half my contacts. So I deleted them and done a resync and now it will not sync any contacts or calenders from either account. Anyone else having issues with syncing?
I am getting this always. Everything else is synced. Also all contacts are visible in what's app however not in contacts. Even if I call someone it shows up its name however doesn't show up in Contacts at all.

I had to take my handset back this morning due to a crack in the frame, I have now got another one and have set everything back up and everything is syncing fine again. I don't know what causes it but I have read on the sony forums people that have the same issues
Should I do a factory reset and try once if that doesn't work probably a firmware refresh whatsay
