Battery Issues - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

So I dont know whats going on but when I ran stock it was great! When I loaded surom it was still decent and great. But havent reset or anything in awhile, But Battery just seems to suck. Unplugged it this morning and about 1 hour later already at 83%! Only sent 4 texts and it brought it down that low. And that was in the middle of town with full bars on 3G. its been like this for about 2 weeks now Im not running the latest surrom cause I dont like the status bar framework change look to it so never upgraded it. I ran CPU spy and below is the screen shot of it being left on over night and such. But any idea? could it just be the battery sucking itself? or is it the phone doing it?
Also yesterday I plugged it up at 54& around 3:25pm yesterday. At 7pm it was only at 85% when I unplugged it! I was using a Sony Eccerison Charger but it was 1amp or whatever ive always used that charger when at this location without a problem.
And I don`t belive it is a app either.

How are you unplugging the phone after a charge? It's been proven that if you do NOT wake the phone up, unlock it THEN remove the charging source, it'll drain battery faster due to NOT getting into deep sleep while on standby. I see at some point it shows it was in deep sleep but maybe not after your latest charge cycle.
Maybe this could be your issue?

No I dont think its that as I usually do that anyway

I had terrible battery on everything. Currently I am running Saurom using Juice Defender with a custom setup. I also turn on the phone and unplug and get great standby time. There is a thread on setting up JD in themes and apps, at least I think its in that forum. Check it out.

Well i just tried the whole unplugging thing, and at least with Saurom, it appears as though it goes into deep sleep regardless of the unplugging steps...!

Under status it says Unavalibble?? which one can a flash that will work with this rom??

Okay happened again. Fully charged earlier not to bad. From 100% to 68% of maybe 10 min phone ccall and 20 min online radio in 1 hour and 35 mmin already 68%
What kernal should iI use with this T
Rom. I'm also underclocked now to see if it would help and it's not
I would try and flash one. But last time I had to do a wipe ccause my phone would be in a constant loop

If it says unavailable then it is my kernel. It would have said at the bottom of cpuspy. You can try flashing dag 's kernel, but i doubt that it is the issue as mine is a fork of his with only the touch fix added.
If you try flashing any kernels be sure to have dagr8 's kernel fix as you will need to flash it following flashing a kernel.

Oh okay. Any other reason that would cause this:/ Its horrible an hour and half usage takes half my battery

There has to be a rogue app at play. There is a "known battery drainers" thread in the gs2 section. Review those. Also download better battery stats and use it to identify the rogue app

Try these steps:
1. Turn off wifi + data (uncheck use packet data to turn off data).
2. Install Better Battery Stats.
3. Charge your phone to full. Wait for it to tell you to remove charger, then unplug your phone.
4. Open CPUSpy and reset timers.
5. Turn screen off, and let it sit for an hour.
6. Refresh CPUSpy and check the percentage of time it is in deep sleep, and check battery level. Normal deep sleep time should be 95-98%
7. If battery drops by more than 2% and/or your phone isn't going to deep sleep, then check Better Battery Stats for partial wakelocks and kernel wakelocks and report back.

Will do in the morning.

For what it's worth, I flashed your kernel on my stock ROM and had HORRIBLE battery life. It almost never went into deep sleep at all. if the OP has your kernel then this is definitely the problem.

last night I reset my phone and loaded ICS UCLC5 or whatever
Well my phone wouldnt EVER go into deep sleep.
Time Unplugged 1 hour and 36 min
Time in 384MHZ 1 Hour and 34min.
And this is with NOTHING AT ALL INSTALLED!
so whats going on? Different kernal and rom
also battery is only at 98& but why during that entire time my phone was running at 384???
ASLO betterybattery stats says awake time is 1Hour and 34 min as well

My phone had deep sleep and battery drain issues with ICS ROM too.
Do yourself a favor and install the stock ROM, stock modem, and do a factory reset. Then install CPUSpy and give it a go.
Also, charging from a USB based power source will cause the phone to not deep sleep. You have to reboot after a USB based charge before it will deep sleep.

ICS Battery Life

Hey everyone,
I've been playing around with some ICS roms (Energy and revolution roms) amd noticed that the battery life is AMAZING on idle/standby, but when using the phone, the battery drains VERY fast.
Are all the ics roms like this atm? Are you guys getting similar drains? I'm going to try another rom and see what happens in the meantime.
Here's a screen cap of my battery life.

i completely agree.i'd like to post in development but can't as yet(forum rules).i'm running arhd 2.2.1.s-off.my battery drains out approximately 6 and a half hours on moderate use(music etc.)i wonder if it's due to the stock kernel or as u said if ics is like this.apart from that the rom is solid and very ice.
Same here, the only problem im having with the ics leak is the battery drains extremely quick. And I have my brightness all the way down.

I'm on the Leak ICS and I haven't seen that problem... I think it's improved my battery since I've updated.. before I would have to swap batteries half way through the day.. now I just charge when I get home.. and I work 12 hours a day.. Monday to Saturday.
After resetting battery stats this is what I saw and was impressed with. I have email set to auto sync from 7am to 6pm for work along with my gmail account, facebook set to sync once a day as I don't really care to be notified every time someone posts. Screen brightness set to auto, however this phone did not see sunlight on this day so I'm sure the screen was never maxed out.

edit: forgot to mention, i can't charge via USB anymore, as it says it does not provide enough power. It used to work just fine with same cable, same usb port on my computer at work. Now it can't charge, have to bring wall charger to work.

wow, that sucks. Personally I would wipe / reflash the ruu. then slowly add applications back. Not sure what apps you have running, I have about 150 installed, however I limit what can sync. there is a paid app called better battery stats that can help identify rouge apps too.

Wow, with stock GB on TMO I got maybe 7 hours max. With stock ICS I got over 12 hours and was very pleased. I just flashed a yesterday, so I'm not sure what I'll get now, but from the drain it looks like about 20 hours or so with moderate usage. I suspect my normal day will be OK (about 16 hours).
I'm not having any problems with charging on the leak or NRG.
What does wiping batter stats do? Is it more like just resetting a timer or does it do something more like recalibrate your battery so the phone doesn't shut down your phone prematurely due to a perceived lack of juice? (when there is actually still more juice remaining)
Edit myself: according to other posts, a Google engineer said it's a myth that this does anything useful.

It is supposed to delete the battery statistics so that the device builds up an accurate battery stats file. If the stats file had statistics for a smaller battery (or poorer battery), it could be telling the OS that it was out of power when in fact power was still available. I can't speak to how well it works, but I do it whenever I flash a new ROM.

Actually, I am not sure about that myth anymore. I had CWM installed and I flashed 4EXT. My battery died within 4 hours and I barely used it. I was at 55% and I had everything turned off as well as the screen, 5 minutes later, I was at 40%. The next day, I fully charged it to 100%, booted into recovery, and wiped the battery stats. My phone lasted for 17 hours without even charging it in the day.
I guess wiping the battery stats does work?

Left my phone charger in the car last night. Before I went to bed my phone was at 3%. I expected for it to turn off at any min so I just laid it next to my bed. Woke up 7 hours later to my phone at 3%.... I received 4 text during that time, but was not read until morning.

Tell the rom developer - I have gotten surprisingly little feedback on mine.. I tried flashing a few roms before I chose a base to work with, and the only one that didn't have any errors in the logcat, didn't have any wakelock issues, was Android Revolution HD. I've picked out every htc app I could constantly checking both logcat for errors and wakelock issues from rogue htc apps looking to keep the phone from deep sleep- and all is well.
But amazingly today someone using my rom(pdcrzylazy) posted this article on an easy flash that is supposed to "ten fold" battery life- I researched it, I made sure it flashed well.. and have had immediate big differences, even under heavy use.
There is specifically one process on how it handles memory that I think makes the biggest difference- but it HAS made a big difference! It flashes perfectly and I was able to confirm the settings took effect..
If anyone tries it you can run this command in terminal on the phone before and again after and you'll see the settings took.
Code:
sysctl -a| grep vm
The output is crazy long, so if you wanted to you can run it as an adb command - "adb shell sysctil -a > /whereeveryouwantit/name.txt"

Battery drain while shutdown :(

Hello,
I have done some research on the subject but couldn't find anybody with the same problem as me.
My phone has a big battery drain. I can use it for about 10 hours before it shuts down. But the weird part is that it drains battery even when totally shut down. I loose about 50% during a night!!!
Has anybody already met the same problem?
Thinking it is hardware related, I already changed my battery but the result is not better.
I am looking for any idea to solve the problem.
thanks

Stock ROM ? Custom ROM ? Kernel ?
Give us more information.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
I tried with several different roms:
- Samsung stock
- cyanogen 9 and 10
- aokp
- miui 4.
But as it is draining while the phone is off, I don't think it is rom related.

Sometimes my phone also like that. Any fix?
More information is required. Are you using a third party battery? When you mean shut down do you mean powered off? If so there is no reason that it drains. If you just placed it to standby I would check your running apps.
Sent from my Galaxy S too!
Not sure, but maybe you can wipe battery stats in recovery.
And what u mean by turned off? Completly off or just Standby? If its completly off, i guess your battery is broken.
When i mean shutdown, my phone is totally off. Not in standby. That's why I was wondering if any body encountered the same issue.
my phone has been running like that for few months.
The problem happened from one day to the next. I didn't change anything on the day the problem happened.
I also had an other problem (probably not related): the vibrator was broken. I changed it and now it is OK.
I also tried with both official Samsung battery and a third party one.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

This has also been affecting me for a couple of weeks since I upgraded from CM9 nightly to stable build, although I'm sure that may not be the cause. I've since tried wiping battery stats, proper discharge/recharge of my battery, re-flashing the phone with different firmware and even got a new battery in case that was the problem.
No luck.
With data turned off, no animations, black wallpaper, brightness at lowest setting and not using wifi, games, mp3, I get about 12 hours. Last night, I turned off my phone and my battery went from 46% to 8% when I turned it on this morning.
If anyone has any idea what could be causing this I'd be very much in their debt.
Edit: Now I'm back on stock ICS 4.0.4 rom, rooted with CWM
I have noticed the battery level of my phone significally dropping when restarted or it freezes but it seems as if the battery level slowly increases as it runs through the day.
Seems as if the phone is reading incorrect data from the battery but the actual values are greater.
I thought that might be the case here too but my battery is actually draining flat in that time. After the phone turns off I pop it into another phone and it's completely dead. But it isn't the battery either because they both last about 2 days in another i9100. It's really confusing.
When flashing a new firmware, I do a factory reset/wipe, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats.... i have this problem no matter what I try to do.
Is it possibly a hardware problem? Or is it more likely that I'm doing something wrong?
Same problem here. It's definetely a hardware problem. I've found some people with usb connection issues that also had drain problems. They fixed it by replacing USB flex cable part, which is cheap in ebay and not difficult to replace... However, I don't know if it will solve our drain problem since we do not have connection or charging issues... Any experiences? Ideas? Please...
Probably an out of context answer since we are talking about shutdown and not standby. I used to lose 30% battery in standby overnight. Just disabling the location services got that number down to 5%.
I am on RevoltJB 2.5 with Dorimanx 5.85

Have you tried different ROMs AND kernels? Or just stuck to one?
Also, did you try installing an app like CPU spy and checking if your phone goes into deep sleep or not? If it doesn't that's your problem right there.
Another thing you could do is use an app that monitors your battery's voltage. If its not approx 4100-4200mV at full charge, its not being charged fully and would explain a quick drain.

Thanks for your answer. As the thread title says, this is about battery drain when the phone is completely shut down, which means a hardware issue. Before I noticed that, I tried lots of roms, kernels, modems and made a big cleanup of wakelocks using BetterBatteryStats, until I saw that my battery loses about 30% in 8 hours when it's completely powered down (that means no rom, kernel or modem running). Battery out of the phone doesn't have that drain. I tried even changing the battery with no better results. So, it's a phone related hardware issue. I've read about people with usb connection problems (no PC sync, no charging, autoreboot, etc...) that also had "hardware" battery drain. They fixed all problems by replacing USB flex cable part. Since I don't have connection issues I don't know if it would work in my case, but I'm so desperate that I just bought this part and will try to replace it when it arrives. If anyone had or know about this particular issue I will appreciate his opinion. Thanks!

I have the same problem too, I have the 30% or a few more and the phone shutdown and I connect it and turn on again and says 0% battery, and charge until 100% and happen again in twenties or thirties. I have JB Deodexed Stock Rom and a NEW Samsung Battery.

No, you cannot fix that since it's a hardware issue. Bring it to technical support. If you're on warranty period be sure to clean any trace of rooting, non-official rom, etc. Mine has been sent to factory to be repaired... 3 weeks waiting...

I'm having a very similar issue. I thought that screen was suppose to be the largest drain, but Android System appears to be consistently 55%+ of the battery used.
mine usually doesnt go above 20%..
its on screen percentage that is killing me lol
I wonder what's causing it.
My main usage on my S4 is the screen.
LOL Tap in the Android System in that list and see what all is listed under it. If you are running everything that Samsung added to the TouchWiz like the air view and eye tracking and such you will have the System draining your battery. Find out what you will actually use and not use and what is more for play turn off and what you will use regularly leave on. My guess is most ppl will have most if not all of it off on a normal basis
My S4 i got today from VZW i had some gestures on charged it to only 74% by noon (had to go out) and 5 hours later with just under 3 hours of screen time i was at 63% battery still and screen was 65% in the list with Android System at 12% Also screen was at 35% though not at brightest level.
Eric
Mine is showing only 5% over today. Screen is my biggest drain (as expected). Does it remain high usage after reboot?

Oh ok. That's what I was confused about. It was fine yesterday and then today not so much lol. But I did disable some of the gestures to see if that makes a difference. Thanks

a little update. I have seen this as well now but only after charging to full. It was not doing it yesterday cause i didn't get a chance to charge it to full until later last night. I was in and out since picking it up yesterday morning and never got it past 80%. So here is what i found.....
Once full and I unplug the phone (from the wall not usb charging obviously) the Android System is in the 50%+ of battery consumption in just a min or 2 from unplugging and seems to stay there. So after a few times of letting it get to 96% or so and recharging to check after an FDR I decided to just unplug the phone and reboot right away, the Android System never gets above 9% in the battery stats list when i reboot immediately after I unplug the phone.
Anyone with a reason why after charging, something in the list (and it's a HUGE list of apps at that) making up Android System is hanging after a full charge cycle? I mean technically, it's not a bad thing to reboot your phone each day but should you HAVE to do it?
Eric

Unless you are seeing your battery yield horrible life this is completely normal. Because its telling you a percent of the loss, for example your battery is at 90% so its showing you the break down of the 10% loss. So your screen is 70% of that batter loss. The screen is always going to be in the top. Thats good honestly that shows that you dont have any apps sucking down your battery more then the most power consuming hardware (screen)
My Android usage is high too. 60% is weird. I've frozen alot of stuff and only a few gesture options enabled. Would like to figure this out myself

After 3 wipes of device and also an sd card wipe I was still having android system double the power consumption then the screen. I wiped the phone and then didnt log into google and just used the web broswer and surfed for 40 mins and then checked the stats, android system was still the number one even with 40 on screen minutes. At this point I was done with this phone
I just went to verizon, the manager first tried to tell me it was because I have location settings on, then I told him that I had the issues before I turned them on. Then he tried to tell me it was because im not using power saving mode. I had to almost fight for the exchange, he finally pulled out his phone and googled it and saw that this is a known issue and then tried to tell me that because its known that I shouldnt do the exchange and wait for an update, I said no. After 2 hours I finally walked out with a new s4, I will see how this goes.
I too am having the same problem
Sent from my Galaxy S IV
Wow. While this issue is somewhat annoying in the fact that something is there somewhere doing something in the background, it is not something that can be hardware related. It is just something enabled somewhere that we havent pinpointed yet. Regardless, I get great battery life and have just learned to deal with it. I know when some more roms come out and more things are figured out, it will be fixed. Its nothing to go ask for a replacement for. Not trying to sound like an a$$. Just saying
Sent from my rooted Galaxy S4 via tapatalk 2.
tell me this then, if its software then we should all have the same issue, because we are all on the same build (minis the rooted / rom installed) but of the 5 devices that I have looked at only 2 have this drain? I had done a factory wipe and then DIDNT log into google, or samsung so I had only the original installed apps, and I still had the issue,
So the only real way to test it I guess is we need to have someone that confirmed doesn't have this issue they will need to make a ODIN restore and then someone with the issue needs to restore with that, then that will eliminate any possibility of hardware problems.
I see your point. I did find something in better battery stats though. On partial wake lock, there is a process called audioout_2 which had used almost 45 minutes of cpu. Clearly, by the name, it has something to do with sound output and I then realized that touch sounds were enabled on my keyboard. Hopefully disabling that helps. It may not be the whole problem but I'm willing to bet it has something to do with it.
Edit: I checked the cpu time after I turned off keyboard sounds typed alot of random letters for about 20sec then turned sounds back on then typed again for 20sec. Checked cpu time on audioout_2 and it increased that same amount of time like I thought. So I'm going to see if it helps.
Edit again: my android system usage is slowly dropping. From 67-63% in the last 20 minutes. Won't know how much it impacts it until a recharge.
Sent from my rooted Galaxy S4 via tapatalk 2.
Do you guys with the high android battery usage have the Verizon ongoing connect to wifi notification? When I had it my Android system was high now that I managed to take it away is gone down a lot

[Q] Battery Life Expectancy?

I really hate to be that guy asking stupid battery questions, because we all know that battery stamina is subjective, but this is really hard for me to understand.
I am coming from the Note 3. My general weekday use with the Note 3 would get me 14-15 hours off the charger with 50% left by quitting time. I bluetooth stream music/podcasts for 8-9 hours a day. Pandora for maybe a couple hours on some days and average screen on time of 1.5 hours. I never had to do anything special in regards to battery life. Auto brightness and just regular use and it always lasted the day easy.
Today was my 2nd day with the HTC One Max and I managed to get just over 10 hours off the charger before it was completely depleted and shut off and it died in the middle of a work shift. Normal use for me, auto brightness, maybe 1-1.5 hours screen on time (estimation). Very depressing.
Battery use in settings looked pretty normal to me although I'm not seeing a place for actual screen on time? But my question is this, is this the kind of battery life you guys are seeing? Will it get better after a couple cycles? Based on the reviews I had read before purchasing the One Max, it was stated that the Max battery out lasted the Note 3 battery in testing so I wasn't even the least bit worried about it when making my purchase.
Not sure what my issue is but I won't be able to keep this device if I can't figure this out.

I hadn't really had time to set anything up like I usually would. The only 2 apps I had installed were Pandora and PlayerPro but I'm more than happy to wipe and start from scratch. I've downloaded everything I need for S-OFF, recovery, ROMs etc, I was just waiting to make sure everything else was in order before I start tinkering. Just curious, are either of you guys running a custom ROM?
yeah, I am running viper max,and its fantastic!:good:

You don't need a custom ROM, this phone is perfect out of the box. Check with better battery stats what exactly is causing the issue. Could be Google play services.

This is the kind of usage I am seeing. Very light usage today, maybe an hour of bluetooth music and 0 phone calls, several texts (12-15). Not sure what this means in the overall picture. I also installed BBS but not sure what I am looking for, I just know my stamina is weak sauce. :crying: I'm not sure I understand why Android system is using 75% of my battery and only has 4 minutes CPU, 24 minutes keep awake and 4mb data sent.
This is what I'm getting. I have the power flip case, but it only adds 1/3rd more battery..
*note the screen on time*
You must have an issue with something keeping your phone awake.

There is definitely something wrong there. based on your shot, it looks like a verizon phone that doesnt have the power save.
Mines an international version my girlfriend got for me, Not rooted, S-On, completely stock out of the box, and this is my stats, mines based on moderate to heavy usage: (Note: the battery power saver turns on at 14% by itself) And my battery charges in 2 hours to 100%.

I haven't been able to figure it out yet. Most days its fine. Like Friday I listened to 4 hours straight of Pandora just because I wanted to see what would happen. Like usually I would stop it if I had to run errands or when I talk to people but I let it go for 4 solid hours. After bluetooth streaming 4 hours of Pandora and about 2 hours saved podcasts and 9:51 off the charger I still had 63% battery left. Thats really great results IMO. If I can get through and entire workday with 50% battery left I am thrilled. I think it was 1:13 screen on time or close. Not a lot of screen on time but that is a lot of Pandora use and that usually hits my battery the hardest.
But Tuesday earlier in the week I didn't listen to Pandora/Slacker at all, a little less than 2 hours bluetooth podcast, less than 2 hours screen on time and hit 38% by quitting time (about 10 hours off the charger). Every now and then there is a day like that where the battery just disappears even with super light use. I have GSAM installed and am trying to keep an eye on use but I always forget and plug it in when I get home (on days like Tuesday) or I plug it into the PC at some point to transfer files or photos and that reset the stats.
I tried that Snapdragon battery Guru and was really excited. The first day after it finished "learning" my routine I got through the whole day with 77% left but all day long I would stop getting texts and Gmails and the data connection would no longer work if I tried to open Facebook or Chrome. I would check status and mobile data is on, connected to the network, good signal but I couldn't get any data to work until I toggled airplane mode or rebooted the phone. SO I finally got frustrated with it, reset defaults and uninstalled it.
One thing I do notice is that I usually use 10-12% of my battery to wifi while I'm at work and the only wifi I use is when I am at home. If I turn the wifi off while I am at work I forget to turn it back on when I get home and now that I no longer have unlimited data that is a pretty big problem. I need to set an alarm or something that reminds me to turn it on/off everyday I guess.

Massive battery drain issue, already...

After two days with my S5, I seem to not have found a way to get over a ridiculous battery drain. I'm only getting around 6 hours of use with ~2hr screen on. (Right now it's at 13% battery after 5hr 42min with 2hr 9min screen on). From what I can tell the primary culprit, as usual, is "Android System" which is using 24% of the battery as of right now. Thanks to KitKat, I can't use WLD to figure out what the drain is. Has anybody else had this issue?
I've tried calibrating the battery (drain to 0%, turn off, charge to full, etc), force stopping clear cache and data on Google Play Services/Play Store/Google+, turning off WiFi, location, etc... nothing seems to work.
Further, no matter how much I clear/end all apps and whether or not I use a downloaded app or the built in task manager, I cannot for the life of me get the RAM usage to go anywhere below 1.32Gb.
Note: Yes, I accidentally posted this in the General forum first, been a long day and clicked the wrong one, I've already requested that the admins delete the other post.
UPDATE: I think I might have narrowed it down to "AntService" under Android System, but I have no idea how to fix that...

That's weird....I'm at 46% right now, 14hours 42min with 2hours 22min of screen time. I also don't have AntService. I did take the update yesterday it was for System Stabilization, I wonder if that has something to do with it as well.

I had taken the update too. I did a factory reset, uninstalled Lark (figured maybe it was hung looking for ANT+ devices), and did another deep charge/calibration. Unplugging now, we'll see.

Let us know what you find. I think it's probably something you installed though and not the phone. Mine lasted 3-4 hours on most of the time while I was playing with it/taking photos at full brightness from 60%. I updated it as well.
Full 5 hours 10 minutes of Screen Time and 17 hours turned on today, this playing and still setting stuff as I got it yesterday. My S4 before Kit Kat was giving me constantly 4 hours of screen time on same daily usage, with normal battery stats showing Screen wit 50% of usage and the other 50 well spread, after Kit Kat at most 3 hours, and the same issue with Android System been equal or some times even greater on usage than the screen.
But, so far I'm happy because even when I used it today a lot different than I use it in a normal day it still managed to gave me over 5 hours of screen time, that's great for me.

Solution herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721378
Just drained my battery completely (a full cycle of fully-charged to fully-empty).
With an average usage, about 80% running on Wifi (with wifi calling), about 30% screen on, two calls of total time of 30min, internet browsing, 3 gmail accounts pulling gmail regularly - Overall - 34.5 hours.
BTW, I love this new battery-charging animation when the device is off - a liquid green energy flowing from the USB into the battery, bubbling and filling up my battery - cool
EDIT: Full charge from 0 to 100% in about 2 hours. Device was shut down during the charging period.
I've gotten over 21 hours and 6 hours of screen time. You should try turning sync off, but it definitely sounds like one of the apps. I doubt your battery already has failed damaged. Also battery calibration is more of placebo effect, it doesn't do anything. When you fully charge your phone it does the same thing as those apps. Don't worry about Ram going under a certain number, unused ram is wasted RAM. Worst case scenario just factory reset start over.

Do you have leave WiFi on or have WiFi calling enabled? I have found my battery drain with the screen off and WiFi calling enabled be a bit less than 3% an hour. With WiFi disabled and my phone connected to 4g my battery drains at under 1% an hour. With the phone connected to 2g networks the drain decreases even further.
