Loving the update so far. My top features:
-NOVA launcher just as sweet on the tablet as my Gnex
-Chrome
-App folders

Definitely accessing SD Card, swipe to clear in notif window and the small apps. I will enjoy the calculator lol
I do like the folders, but I have so many apps on my tablet that I wish there was a better way to organize them, like folder organizer. I like that app because it allows me to list all the apps and move to folders and when I download a new app, it prompts me to organize.
Checkout Nova you can seperate your apps by tabs and groups in the app drawer might be what you are looking for organization.

The built in spell checker and the ability to close apps from long pressing the home button, and then swiping them away.

Does it work similar to folder organization in Go launcher? I was able to create folders in the app drawer and copy them to the homescreens. Best part, if I made changes to the folders in the app drawer, they carried into the homescreen folders.
I also really don't want to take away from the stock experience. I have pimped the hell out of my Nexus S lol
best feature
i think the read from sd card is by far the best feature... its so more convenient to expand memory now... no need to keep on deleting old videos etc anymore

Hi everyone,
last night i was playing with my friends iphone 4, looks nice and had some nice little tricks but the screen was not as resopnsive as my xperia or the galaxy s that my gf has. but it had one cool that that blew me away was he was able to group his installs. installing games to a game folder tools to a tools folder and so on. can we do that on our xeperia phones?
Hi. I'm using open home as a replacement to the inbuilt home screen app.
There is the facility to create app folders with this. Just click the "create folders" box in open home settings should you wish to install

OK, so I'm a noob with the Thunderbolt and I'm sure this is an easy question. But, I'm lost:
Is there a way to take the menu of "all apps" and place them inot folders, so they're sorted into "communications" folder, "games" folder, "utilities" folder, etc. There are many file managers that claim to do this, but they don't show their results under the HTC Sense "all apps" uberfolder.
I've seen a few topics related to this, but not for the Thunderbolt, and none recent. I'll try them. Meanwhile, if you've solved this problem for the Thunderbolt, please help me. TIA!

Kind of like the iPhone ? Well your best bet will be using go launcher , you can organize them the way and it works good on TB

Yeah I'm using ADW Launcher and you could separate them into Catalogs and hide the "All Apps" in the App drawer.
Yea, it's a function of the launcher as mentioned. If you're willing to try another launcher you'd be able to do it. For instance, I have mine set up in different "catalogs" as mentioned by HeCareth so that I can swipe left or right to get to different drawers of Tools, Media, etc. (ADW EX for me btw).
or just make folders on home screens. thats another alternative.
Not exactly what you wanted....
I know you specifically stated you wanted folders in the app drawer itself, but I've recently fallen in love with Auto App Organizer. That's a link to the ad-supported version but if you also become infatuated the developer has a donate version as well: https://market.android.com/details?id=zts.ticket.autoapporganizer&feature=more_from_developer
I use apps organizer from the market it is free and does exactly what you asked

I think according to his description he wanted to organize the app drawer which is why people recommended other launchers. But yes, you can do most of what apps organizer does by making folders on the homescreen as bthomp said and fill them with apps. Not sure why an extra app would be desired for this when it's included by default but maybe it's somehow prettier or something or has some added features.
Thanks, guys. Got what I needed from you and decided to place a single folder on the home screen, and place my most often used apps in there. It'll work for the time being, until I research all your outions and pick one that's more permanent from your helpful list.
I use SiMi...love it and its free

was wondering the same thing.
the email one works fine, and it's WAY better than the GB one. I am talking about the one that actually lets you read emails, and scroll through them, not the one that only shows the new emails count.

Love the different calendar widgets!
No, because OEM widgets aren't really Android widgets. They're little apps that rely on Touchwiz/Sense/Motoblur framework. I'm sure a very talented dev could rip them out and turn them into compatible apps, but it's not going to work out of the box like you want it to.

I just got my new Verizon GNote2 today on pre-order and I'm loving the fact that the multitask bar has been included however it only has 7 apps for the multi-function and none of which I use daily. I'm hoping to root this phone as soon as there is one available. Also mine came without any headphones. I'm going to request they give me a pair because they do come with the T-Mobile version. Other than that this is a great phone.
I noticed the same thing, in the videos on YouTube there's Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and so much more that has multiwindow support, but I only get a few apps to choose from.

We can only hope the Lord of root feels pity on us soon and gives us a way to root it and a nice rom so we can get it to work like it should not how verizon wants it.:silly:
There is an app in the drawer called multiview control. You should be able to add icons there. I have the att version. Then once you open the multiview tab at the bottom it says edit. You can drag and drop apps into the tab. Not all apps are able to split the screen though. Enjoy. Hope you get root soon

Sprint's Is missing the multiview control app as well. can you post up the app?
We don't have that app, you can modify your apps manually to appear in multi view though, root not needed.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34895500#post34895500
I already upload Chrome and Netflix apk's ready to be installed for multiview (you'll need to uninstall and re-install the apps)
When I want to change an icon on my home screen, my launcher brings up the standard 'select app for this task' box.
The trouble is I want to use my file browser, and its not showing up there, I'm only getting to pick gallery, and this is a pain in the ass because my icon set has 1000+ icons, which would be easy to find by file name, but looking through 1000 icons every time you need one isn't much fun. I'm using ADW launcher by the way and solid explorer.
Can you add to these app select menus, like you can add to 'send to' in windows? Cheers
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
You can't do it. It's part of the code of ADW Launcher and Solid Explorer. ADW should be able to look for file explorers whole generating the list, and Solid Explorer should allow itself to be found. Without either it won't work. However, I know that Solid Explorer works fine, so the problem here should be ADW. You can contact the ADW dev, mention this problem to him and request him to add it in the next release.
Alternatively, ADW is open source, so you or anyone else reading this can view the source code and add in this functionality yourself if you have the know-how, and if you do manage that, send a merge request to the dev so he can add it in permanently.

I guess my next step is to email the dev explaining and take it from there. I don't want to switch from using ADW EX or Solid Explorer so hopefully the dev will listen and help. I don't know anything about coding android but if it is a straightforward thing to do maybe someone could help.
Thanks
