I'll be doing a lot of videos showing off some neat features + abilities of the SGP to YouTube.
I don't have everything filmed so far, but here is a quick unedited video showing off the stability (well, you can trust I've used it @ the speed longer then that) of the SGP5 clocked @ 1.5GHz and the profile that was used.
I'll be doing a ton of videos showing off key aspects of the device and it's potential and be adding them to this post here.
Enjoy! And I'm open to suggestions!

2.) A video showing off emulator performance of the most popular emulators.
COMING SOON!
3.) A video showing off pushing the SGP to it's graphical limits with Shadowgun and Modern Combat 3.
COMING SOON!
4.) A video of useful apps for the SGP5
COMING SOON!
5.) Suggest something!
Nice idea, it would help a lot of people trying to decide what to buy, our device or an iPod Touch.

This is (was) a request for some feedback/review of the CM7 Tablet Tweaks rom for Harmony/Gtablet. Also which files do I install and whats the entire process that was taken to get the market working and which Gapps link did you use? I've installed a few roms so far but reading some of the CM7 forum post i've been hesitant to install CM7 due to some of the old bugs I read about.
I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028088
but I believe there have been updates to the rom files and not sure which ones to install.
What does or doesn't work with this CM7 Rom? I know video acceleration isn't working but can you still play 720p video through software video players?
What are benchmark scores?
What bugs have been found?
Is it stable? ie. random reboots?random freezes?
EDIT:
So 71 views and I just decided to take the dive into cynogenmod... Totally easy install.
I don't know why I was scared.
Just installed CM7 nightlies 41 check cyanogenmod website for link Look for HARMONY nightlies
with Tablet Tweaks theme apk http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041588
Installed also Pershoots latest GB kernel 1400mhz
Brief install instructions-
1. Flash nightlies 41 zip via CWM
2. Flash GAPPS.zip
3. Flash Pershoot Kernel for Gingerbread.
Reboot and should boot quick.
All benchmarks run at 1400mhz max
SmartBench - 4564
Quadrant - 2225
Linpack - 51.463 mflops
Will post video showing actual Video playback and Game playability. Feels silky smooth so far guys.
I'm liking the Honeycomb theme which looks amazing.
Thanks Cyanogenmod team for such an amazing ROM.
Not working-
Video recording
HD video playback not working- fix is to use different players, sometimes this fixes the issues
Sound Playback - have to plug/unplug headphones in order to make speakers play sound
Camera takes pixelated pictures
Some games not working - Minigore (Must have)
Touch screen is jittery when playing games involving 2 virtual joysticks
Some apps just don't work with the Rom, IE.. Quickoffice
[UPDATE]
I was going to do a short video but no longer have my camera (long story)
Last minute thoughts before wiping
- without video acceleration it makes the G Tablet for me unusable, I love the HONEYCOMB theme, seriously it looks awesome but all that good paint on the outside without allowing me to use the video capabilities to their max/video performance is a deal breaker now for me. I will be back to CM7 once the video issues are fixed.
*Goodbye Honeycomb Paint Job*
Just got my G-Tablet today and installed a few different roms on it with no issues (first time with a droid device! These forums and gtablet for dummies have been a very big help) but it seems that all the videos from say youtube or any site for that matter play with low quality. If I go to youtube and watch any clip that is suppose to be HD and open up the video it looks like 360p on my tablet (sorta blocky/ugly but plays fine). I can't select 720/1080p etc on the video. It just lets me click play and then it goes full screen. In the top right of the video it says "HQ" but it really isn't.
I'm currently using Calkulin + Clemsyn Combo Overclock at 1.5 ghz V6 ROM (flash works) and everything works pretty darn good. I tried CM7 and Vegan 7 and couldn't get flash to work at all and the video quality was poor as well.
I've tried playing the videos with the youtube app and 4 different browsers all to the same effect (opera, dolphin hd, firefox, and the broswer that came with each ROM). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ps: I searched the forum for my exact problem and did not find any threads on it. Sorry if this seems to be a recurring thread. I'm also use to my iphone 4 which plays videos in very good HD quality and the only reason I'm switching to a droid tablet instead of getting say an ipad is 1. price and 2. customization.
anyone have ideas?
If you look around there is something on HQ video. I think until they get the proper drivers it will not work in HQ.
Now that ICS has been released i have a few questions for current Mediapad owners that hopefully will help me decide if want to get one
1) I know that the mediapad is not the benchmark leader, do games like "temple run" and "wind up knight" run smoothly on it?
2) Is the native android SIP (internet calling) enabled in the final ICS version?
3) I read a lot of complaint out the touchscreen sensitivity. Has it been fixed in the latest ICS build?
4) How the web browser?
5) When you connect your mediapad through the HDMI out, how is the picture quality?
Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

1) yes.
2) no. At least it isn't exposed in the Huawei native phone app.
3) still the same, at least compared to the last beta build. Not really a problem though. But the jitter is more pronounced in high resolution setting (basically it will set the dpi to low, thus would look like 10" tablet scaled to 7"... Everything is smaller).
4) never encountered any problem. You can also use other browser like Dolphin and it would also be accelerated (basically Dolphin runs very smooth in ICS vs laggish in Galaxy Note).
5) looks low resolution (unless for portrait apps). So basically the same as previous build. I haven't use HC, so I don't know how much better it supposed to be, but compared to Galaxy Note, the note have better image quality but everything run more sluggish when using HDMI compared to mediapad which run very smooth but at lower resolution (and probably lower color depth also?).

1. Never mind the benchmarks, everything I've thrown at it runs smoothly (the likes of GTA III, DeadSpace, Shadowgun, Six Guns, and so on).
2. The client is not included.
3. I'm using hi-res mode and don't have any problems or annoyances.
4. I'm using Opera and it works great. Stock one is not causing any trouble either.
5. Not tested yet. Sorry.
Thanks guys!
For the screen issue, does it mean yo sometimes have to tap twice on items when using high res mode?
I also read on some forum that there are issued with Skype video on the latest release. Con someone confirm?
I will download the system files and see how to enable the native SIP client. It is normally a setting in the framework-Res.apk file.

As long as you have steady hand/finger while tapping and light touch then it shouldn't be a problem. The biggest annoyance is when you play something that need steady aim like angry birds and shooting games (contract killer or other games that you basically need to hold your finger at the screen steadily) because it will be jittery. It isn't that you can't play it, but it definitely add an extra challenge to the game. Skype issue is mostly on the skype itself. I haven't tested it yet (on the official build), but I read in skype forum that some other ICS devices also have this green video problem.

Not at all. However, everything is about half (two thirds maybe) the size when in hi-res, so if you have (very) large hands it might be a problem. Like rurou said "like 10" tablet scaled to 7""...
Ladies and Gents, I present to you; offical VLC Nightlies.

Now, I'm sure some of you already knew this was there. But as of the latest build, it will play 720p files with full DTS support! Make sure Hardware Acceleration is turned on and go to town! Plays flawlessly. 1080p doesn't appear to work, but I'm also installing something right now so I may be hitting the IO barrier of SIO. I'll report back about 1080p after it finishes. If it works then I'm going to uninstall everything else except Super Video (I like popup videos).
There's also a build for Tegra 2, which I haven't tried to see if it works better on our Tegra 3 chips.
EDIT:
1080p is not currently working as far as I can tell. It almost does.
Sorry if this is old news, but I finally got HDMI out working on Task650's 9.8.2012 build for the SGSII. I used a Samsung HDTV adaptor from Amazon and ktoon's FluxiXX kernel. In xxTweaker, I set the I/O Scheduler to bfq and the Exynos Sensor HAL to proprietary. I also set the CPU governor on performance. Videos on my external sdcard were occasionally choppy, but videos on the internal sdcard ran fine.
Also, I had to select the video file and play it through the stock player. MXPlayer, my normal video player, did not work.
I'm going to order the cable then this week. I haven't seen this posted before so yay for me. Lol good post man

Thanks, I hope it works for you. I'm trying to get my posts up so I can thank Task publicly for his ROM!
FYI, this is only partial functionality - hwaccel video playback works, but the UI is not mirrored AND also in the case of hwaccel video, only the video itself shows and NOT any UI overlays.
