The thing is i think there is camera problem
Here is a photo please check and help me fix it.my nsxus s 5mp cam wastaking better pics than this .. I have upgraded to official ics by samsung and pic wad taken from camera app that came with ics..if there is any problem then ill go for warrenty replacement

This photo is better.. Yesterday I took some photos in party they look like taken from 2mp camera, no clarity in face and too much noise in photo
Then I think I have to root to go back to gb right?

no u don hav to root jus flash back via odin (do read an follow steps b4 flashin)many r bricking there phones.....an abt the cam ,c i got sgs1 , sgs2 , moto xt 720 nokia an many more an moto takes amazing pics but i don like tem on phone,i mean they appear clear on pc..an sgs1 is low on cam ,sgs2 i like pics on phone i neva saw them on pc....so there a explanation to all.....cheeeerz

So I've upgraded to an android phone (Samsung Galaxy S Captivate) but my buddy brought me his HD2 which is having a weird problem. The touch screen works just fine until it locks. Once you're at the lock screen with the little slide to unlock part it is completely unresponsive! Because I've been flashing / hacking roms on WM since 5.0. I've put the newest hardspl on the device and now i'm getting ready to flash a new ROM to it hoping it is a software bug. Any advice for me? I've searched but didn't really find what I was looking for.
Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

More to add... Man this phone is fast! Crap. Umm the touch screen seems to work most of the time except for the lock screen. By the time I post this I bet the dumb phone will be done installing the new ROM and everything will be peachy (I'm not holding my breath) I broke so many of these windows mobile phones over my years (physical breakage never bricked)
OK so I just put the new ROM on there and everything touch-related works EXCEPT for the lock screen! ARGGGGGG.

I'm on my seventh, that's right, seventh 3vo, and I'm convinced that they all take green and purple pics in artificial lighting. I emailed HTC about it and was told that it would be fixed VIA an ota. Well we just got another ota, and nothing. So my question is this. Are there any devs out there that know the inner workings of camera software that can fix this issue?

A 3v0? i think thats like a score card or something i think? or a team size? like in world of warcraft its 3 v 3. but 3v0 is like a fail or something..

My last two HTC phones (HD2 and Desire Z) both had pink tinges over 50% of the center of each picture. Easy to see, just take a picture of a white wall. They finally fixed it as not present with my GSM Evo 3d; so assuming they have the same camera there is hope for the CDMA version...

I flashed to the latest update via recovery and now I cant reproduce the green tint anymore. Dark image, flash, no flash. So it is fixed?

Yeah the green/yellow hue is gone now.
I tried to be slick & just use the new update's Camera.apk but that wasn't cutting it, hue was still there.
So I applied the full updated (rooted deodexed ver) & voila the hue is dead.

Schweet I though i was trippin. Thanks for the confirmation. Anyhow this is where I got my deodexed rom which I'm sure is where you got yours. If anyone else wants it. Flash via recovery. You also do not lose root doing this method.

Ok, so I am def having touch screen issues....if I unroot to bring it in is it likely Sprint will update my software....I don't want them putting 1.5 on my phone, obviously....

All you really need to do is ask them not to update your handset, it works for me.

Yeah...I will be sure to tell them....I just unrooted and have s on....I drive to the mall w a stiff neck only to have the Sprint store tell me they have run out of ink in every printer and won't do anything cause they can't print out a liability form....****ers....

I actually went through the unroot process and rerooted....it helped a little...so I will still need to bring it in...but I didn't wanna keep it unrooted....before I was half considering just saying "yeah, it's rooted but root didn't cashed the issue I'm having and seeing if they are cool...

I just took mine in for screen issues and left the HTC unlock in place as well as still rooted and they replaced my screen, no questions asked. They had to have known it was rooted because they installed some multitouch testing software that showed up in my app drawer right by the superuser app. Told me if it didn't fix it to bring it back and they would replace the phone.

Alright so I'm running T-Mobile and when I try sending a picture it says sending and never actually sends.I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this what probably is a easy fix.I can send text ..call...search the web but form some reason never will send pictures ? If this has been discussed I apologize but its pretty aggravating cause I have to send pictures sometimes of billboards for work and the only way I've been successful is through gmail..... Any help without a troll would be appreciated

Try ChompSMS for me? I know it resizes the pictures down to 300kb - iirc - which is the max T-mo allows. May be whatever you're using isn't compressing them enough. Also, could be your mms settings in your APN are wrong for some reason. May want to check those.
Could also be that you're on craptacular Edge at the time, and the phone is taking 3 hours to upload the pic, during which, it loses service or something, and it fails.
Just tossing out ideas.

As you read guys. I've happened to find the Level 1,2 & 3 service manual specifically for the Ace-i, the funny part is, that in the Block Diagram, the main chip is stated as BCM21552 / B0 instead of the BCM21553 that we know and that the phone indicates...

It clearly states: USBOTG HS(480 Mbps) just like the Galaxy Y... Maybe our devs and the SGY's are able to make something out of it, personally I hope so
