[Q] V6 Supercharger Script - Legend Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I saw this script the other day and was wondering if it was able to be installed onto the Legend. I tried to run it in Terminal Emulator but the only thing it said was "Note: Busybox v1.16.2 or Higher is Recommended!" leading me to believe it doesn't work on the Legend. Has anyone else been able to use this script?
Thanks

What rom you trying to install it to? The busy box just needs an update, go to market and get busy box update app and use it to update, then try it again, I have used it successfully on the legendary legend fuse rom. Too lazy to try it on the ics I'm using
P.s. I think you need s-off or unlocked bootloader 1.02 to use it.

I'm running ExtremeLegendFuse. I've tried 2 BusyBox updater apps from the Play Store and they just dont load or sit at one step. I have 1.02 unlocked bootloader as well. I'm really stumped by this problem. Is the V6 Script worth it?

OK
I believe that busy box can be installed in different locations, not sure what circumstances this is, either in /system/bin or /system/xbin, well that's the options given by the version of busy box installer I've got, the one by Stephen sericson
Try both locations and see which works for you.
The other question "is it worth it" well I can't personally say I noticed any real speed increase or any other benefits, however, others may do themselves.

I've used the script back then with extreme legend fuse rom. Try download Busybox installer from the market and choose busybox version 1.82.xx.
Bout is it worth it questions i thinks its worth it. Less lag and buttery smooth for me
Sent from my Legend using XDA

Yes, it's worth it. I used it on the Gingerbread Sense ROM. No more Sense redraws and better multitasking. Though after a few days, things tended to get sluggish, so I would let it reboot and everything feels snappy again. The engine flush option didn't do much here.
Busybox
I used Stericsons' Busybox from the market, works perfectly. 1.19.something. (Or use the attached busybox in the script's topic)
S-off / Unlocked
Ranger4740 is right about the need to have write access to the system partition: you need either s-off or an unlocked 1.02 bootloader.
Scrolling speed in script
Personally I hate Script Manager, Terminal Emulator works just fine. Make sure you set the scrolling speed to fast. There is plenty of time to see what's going on, so no need to set it to slow or medium unless you have a serious form of dyslexia
V6 Supercharger on ICS
The script is not usable on ICS in a way it was on GB. "ICS doesn't read ADJ values from build.prop or local.prop - they are hardcoded into services.jar"
This services.jar can be modded, but your ROM has to be deodexed. 99,9% of Legend users on ICS use Zeubea's ROM, which is odexed. Instructions to mod the services.jar in odexed ROMs can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16635544&postcount=2

I have a problem. When I open BusyBox Free by Stericson, after it does initial checks, it comes up with a message that says:
I am unable to verify whether or not certain utilities needed for this application to run are present and functional on your device. You can try to install Busybox regardless, but it may fail. This problem could be caused by a device that is not properly rooted or by superuser settings that are misconfigured

(Note: I do have unlocked hboot 1.02)
Also, when I try to open Script Manager, it just gives me a black screen. I think I might just reflash the ROM as my Wifi isn't working either :/
EDIT: I reflashed Fuse and everythings working, Wifi and the V6 script.

V6 SuperCharger help.

Hello,
I installed the new 3.3.4 rom and I wanted to install the v6 SuperCharger and after following all the steps and rebooting I go into the script and it says that its weak, and that values dont match supercharge.
The only thing that i did not see on the instructions nor remember how to do is activate a script and set it to run at boot.
Anyone running the script on the new rom, please help me a little bit.

is the script that runs on boot running on boot?
It does not seem like it is.
First make sure you have buisybox 1.18 or lower installed. Second load up script manager and and at the top hit "..." twice. Then hit menu and options and choose browse as root. Then select the data folder then choose 99supercharger. Check run as root and run at boot. For dx2 at least running eclipse 0.2.2 option 9 in supercharger runs it the best. Option 9 should be megaram with 512mb. There are two it should be the second one. Im running update 8 so im not sure which option it is anymore.
Also you mean you are running the ATRIX 2.3.4 right? If so has the audio problem been solved with that? That's the main thing I want to know with that rom since it has android 2.3.4 on it.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
well im not sure what you are running but make sure that either /system/etc/init.d is being run on boot
I followed the directions, but when I go into data there is no file 99etc... to run at boot.
Did you first run supercharger. Run it but don't reboot the x2. And make sure you are browsing as root. You choose that in the options of script manager. Also are you running buisy box with 1.18?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
running busybox 1.18.1
Tried it like four times, and no go.
do you have root?
Are you using script manager? Cause that just odd. Just to be sure you're going to "/data" as browsing as root in script manager and scrolling down to the end of that file and not choosing the other data folder to make it "/data/data" cause it should be there as long as you first ran v6 supercharger and chosen which ever option that 99supercharger script should have been made.
I say unsupercharge. Delete scriptmanager and reinstall it and then try again just to see id there was a glitch. If this doesn't help then your pretty much out of luck. But I thought navens. Mods where included in the rom so you shouldn't need it(could be wrong).

Its weird because I had been able to run supercharger on eclipse, I will keep diging around to see what I can find.
Just a question... Isn't supercharger unnecessary for 2.3.3 and above?
Sent from my Droid X² Eclipse Rom + BNB Theme
I have the same problem, and no its not the users. I don't think it is working correctly. Or at least not placing the files where they are normally found.
if you run the 99supercharger script that is suppose to run at boot as root then rerun the "installer" script are the mem splits correct?

its quite usefull just not so much for music on stock gb blur. it gives you a faster boot and screen transission but thats about it on blur.
on elcipse 0.2.2 if you use v6 supercharger (update8 option 9), 98kickasskernal safe and v6noop nearly got rid of all the music skips and pops. about three songs per 85 on my playlist skips or pops if im not doing anything other then listen to music and it will only skip once if its the first time i opened the internet and then runs fine. but the 3 songs are complete random. and sometimes it goes to 5 songs.
without them running this phone skips, pops on nearly every single song on my 85 song playlist (i have 2 gb of music on my phone this is just my most used playlist).
so it makes a difference just not much on blur as it does on eclipse.

[Q] Bluetooth crashes with RC4b

Hi everyone! I'm a n00b here and I installed recently the [ROM][RC4b][10.09.2011] Gingerbread 2.3.3 with HTC Sense 2.1+. It was working OK but now it's making me some kind of troubles with the bluetooth that I cannot fix and I was hoping if somebody could help me.
When I connect the HTC Legend to the bluetooth of my car (it's not a separated bluetooth, it's part of the car) the phone crashes with a com.android.phone error and asks me to put the PIN of the SIM card. It's not a complete reboot.
I've tried to whipe it but it doesn't works. At first this happened when I my HTC Sense account, but now it seems to happen when Market updates to Google Play (always), and I cannot stop this process. I've tried, whit the Root Explorer, to erase the Market Updater o change permissions, but it stills updates.
I've searched this error on the web and I only found threads about Samsung, so I don't know if the fixes for Samsung will work.
So, my questions are
Is there any way to stop the updating of the Market?
Has somebody fixed this issue?
Exists any other ROM with Gingerbread for Legend? I've tried other ROMs but 2.2 is so boring and Cyanogen... It's excessive for me.
Thanks for the answers!!
I've used ogos gingerbread for a long time, I've never had bt issues like your describing, the only thing I can suggest is you are flashing a bad zip file.
Try doing a zip check with a zip manager like 7zip or similar.
I'm order to stop market, u need to either freeze marketupdater.apk or rename the file, its located in /system/app you need s-off or unlocked boot loader (hboot 1.02).
I think ogos is the only gingerbread with sense available (please correct me if I'm wrong) , everything else Is a variation of cyanogen.

I have renamed MarketUpdater.apk and it still updates, I tried to erase it (before, not now, I've made a new flash) and Market updates to Google Play. Is there another way? I have the unlocked HBOOT 1.02 but I'm not S-OFF, I don´t know if this last thing affects...
EDIT: The 7zip tests says that the ROM is OK

Did you reboot your phone after renaming?
P..s. what did you rename it too? I always rename by changing .apk to .bak
I think you might have to clear dalvik cache too.
As you may have heard, unlocked hboot 1.02 is pretty much s-off radio and sim lock and some other little bits is only still locked

On my S-On the only way to stop market updater is to prevent it from going online by means of Avast's firewall option.

I renamed it to MARKETUPDATE22.BAK, but it stills update. That's confusing, at least for me, I thought that it won't update again to Google Play. Of course I made a reset.
I didn't tried to wipe the Dalvik. I'll try and tonight I'll proof it with my car.
:what: hum mm I'm at a loss too.
Can I assume that you still have old market as in not yet updated to play store? Before disable updater?
Before this unlocked bootloader thing I know that old market that came with rom was protected and didn't get replaced not sure now, haven't tried that but You might be able to still uninstall new market from settings manage apps.

Try this, it seems to work for me.

I found this posted over at the HTC Aria forum by user mtnlion and thought somebody might be interested. You can turn off the market updater (which is responsible for bringing the new market back over and over) by going to terminal emulator and typing:
Code:
$ su
# pm disable com.android.vending.updater
This can be re-enabled by doing the same as above but typing enable instead of disable. I've tested it and it appears to persist after reboot. If you already have the new market you can go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Market > Uninstall Updates. This will revert you to the old market. Do it after disabling updater.
This doesn't stop automatic updates of apps according to the other thread. I'm sure some of you already know about this but hopefully it'll help somebody

Hi to everyone! Unfortunately, the pm disable com.android.vending.updater doesn't work and still updates. I hadn't tried to connect again because my car was in the mechanic, tomorrow I'll try again to see if Dalvik's has worked.
Thanks to everyone!
I don't know if this was suggested, but how about backing up the updater app, and from there remove it?
If you ever need it again, resort to the backup.
Not sure if it'll work, but logic states that there isn't a reason it shouldn't.
Hi! After cleaning Dalvik's caché looks to be working fine, after 2 days it doesn't crash. I don't know if this is really solved but hey, let's try it.

BusyBox by STEPHEN & JRummy16 {confirmed} nukes WiFi, Bluetooth & Cellular Data

BusyBox by STEPHEN & JRummy16 {confirmed} nukes WiFi, Bluetooth & Cellular Data
I had what appears to be the latest update to BusyBox by STEPHEN (STERICSON) nuke my WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular data.
I was able to restore to an earlier backup which restored functionality. Once I installed BusyBox by STEPHEN (STERICSON) and went into it and ran it's internal install/update the above was nuked again.
Is there a different BusyBox we can use?
I saw 1 other person with this same issue... Anyone else?
How do we confront STEPHEN with this and see if he knows and can fix it before we all nuke our ATRIX's
update... I just created a recovery of my fully working system, went into Play, got BusyBox by STEPHEN, opened it and installed it, restarted phone and guess what....
WiFi will not connect to anything, Bluetooth will not come on and Cellular Data does not work.
CONFIRMED [latest, June 15, 2012] BusyBox by STEPHEN (STERICON) and the one by JRummy16 kills ALL data connections!
Are you replacing/symlinking all applets to Busybox? Do this can have the issue that you mentioned.
Also, have you tried installing to xbin rather than /bin?
I downloaded, installed, open and let it finish scanning and then use the Install, no changes to location or clicking any boxes.
I've done it this way with every update I receive.
What changed?
Nothings changed, however there was a bug with version 8.0 of my application which caused everything to be symlinked to busybox. This caused issues, like your describing, on some devices. However this was fixed with version 8.1 and above. Unfortunately, In order to resolve the problem, you need to reflash your rom which will restore the system applets that should not have been replaced by the symlinks to busybox.
After getting everything working, you should be able to use Busybox as normal to upgrade busybox.
Nope.... Reflashed the ROM... add the latest BusyBox, run it and bang. Once I restart all 3 fail.
I've had to flash it 3 times with this and the last couple of times I just made a recovery image before trying it.
Are there any alternative applications of this that we could try on the ATRIX?
Can I ask a silly question? Why are you trying to update it if the version you know works is not messing with things? Kind of a "if it ain't broke" thing to me.
Does this happen with all version of Busybox provided by myself, or does it only happen with, let's say, 1.20.1?
Whatever the latest upgrade is, as far as I can tell 8.4 as listed in Play. I also tried it with the other BusyBox by JRunmmy16 with the same results.
I would load an older one and check, if I had the apk to load.
...to answer pre4speed's "silly question"... Updates are out there for a purpose, I should hope, and I take advantage of them when offered unless I know of an issue and then I wait for the next update that we hope resolves it.
I don't mean the version of the installer, rather the version of Busybox. Select an older version from the dropdown and see if that works.
OK... I reloaded your BusyBox and restarted. No issues.
I have not run any of the internal "Install"
Question, do I need to run the internal install process?
I will come back to this later, got activities to attend tonight.
Stephen... Thanks for the help with this, I know I am not the only ATRIX user with this issue.

I agree also with that. I am by no means saying you shouldn't try. And I guess by you testing the new version, you found a bug, reported it, and got a resolution. So Im truly sorry if I stepped on toes, I didn't think of that when asking. I do the same thing.
Lesson learned... pass it on.
... running good. Looks like as long as you do NOT open BusyBox and run its' internal install process everything stays working.
Lesson learned.
@pre4speed No sweat. I've "always" open utilities that I download and "ASS u ME" that you should be able to run whatever they offer inside them. My thinking is that if it is there run it... If it is a buried run command, I shy away until I find out more. As to BusyBox, all the prior installs I go into it and run the "Install" with no dire results. hence the thread...
Simply having the app installed does not upgrade Busybox, so you are accomplishing nothing by not running the install process.
This doesn't help fix the problem that you were/are having.
I don't know if it helps for debugging, but I've had the same problem today that the OP had. I'm on Nottachtrix 1.2.6.
Busybox installer showed up in my notification bar that an upgrade was available; I accepted it this morning (that is, I hit "Install" from within the Busybox installer app) and immediately my wifi, mobile data, and bluetooth were all dead. In addition, none of my root programs (Root Explorer, LBE Privacy, ROM toolbox, etc) would recognize that they had root access.
I then found this thread later this afternoon, and wiped/reflashed my rom which included the old Busybox version. That fixed the problem as you indicated. So far I have not re-installed Busybox installer; things are up and running with proper data access and all programs recognizing root, so I'm gonna hold here with everything running.
Are we talking about my installer, or Jrummy?
Also, Did you install 1.20.1 or an older one?
Could you test a new version if I provided it?
I will test it out... It does no good having an app that is "required" by other utilities if it nukes the phone.
Link me in a PM and I'll load it and tell you what happens.
Wish I'd have seen this thread before I tried to upgrade it.
Someone asked what the reason would be to upgrade BusyBox though. It can fix some Webtop2SD FC issues.
I'm currently with the same problem but on the Aura firmware. If i try to run any of the both apps to update my busybox it fails and leave it uninstalled.
I try the last version and a few older ones (1.19.4, 1.19, 1.18.4, 1.18, 1.14.3). Also i tried the Superuser updater to get the lastest su bin and it also fails when it tries to install busybox.
Right now on the JRummy16 installer it says:
Your device is rooted
Busybox Location: N/A
Busybox Version: N/A
System Storage: 39.78MB
Phone Model: MB860
ROM Version Aura 1.2.2.2

webtop2sd force close using the default busybox that come with the last rom build, thats why i tried to change the version.
Same here, I've tried to repair webtop2sd, using both installers, with 1.20 & 1.20.1 (didn't testes older one) but then system is unable to do any su or even use shell; none of the wireless connections work. I'll try older one. I'm on nottachtrix 1.3 with wraithdu's 1.19.4 busybox in /bin
Tab+ got nuked today Having hard time finding right firmware now to fix this. Wish I just left it alone and didn't try to update.

Satan Recommended ports/mods Part3: Build.prop tweaks/supercharg/less lag/ UPDATE 1

Since I keep getting msgs from people asking me how I have optimized my Xperia S for less lag and such, I thought I would make a thread teaching others all I know. First a little background info.
I have used a HTC Hero for 3 years before I got this phone, so I know a few things about optimizing and getting the most out of old hardware. This means that I am quite versed in memory management, deleting unneeded apks and proper overclocking for maximum effect and battery life. I hope to install my knowledge upon others so we can stop getting noob threads like "I have less than 1gb of ram" or "ICS lags so I am going back to gingerbread, you suck Sony!".
Before we start, if you have used any of the older kernels with old CWM versions, those versions of CWM can bork your data or system. This leads to root issues, apps still showing after clearing, unable to mount partitions in CWM and any other number of issues. To fix this i recommend flashing a stock Sony ICS firmware, then fastbooting the latest version of Advanced Stock Kernel. This will give you a nice clean slate to work with. Also you can make a backup of stock firmware to roll back to if you have problems.
Now off to the races.

Memory Management/Free Ram - Many many people complaining about free RAM just don't understand how it works. In any efficient modern OS (Windows 7, ICS) free ram is wasted ram. I theory you should be using your free space to preload resources you might possibly be needing or using them to run a variety of apps and such. The only time where you would really need a large amount of free RAM would be when you want to play a game/ use an app which requires a larger amount of memory than is normally required. Sometimes Android will have a problem freeing up this required space which can lead to lag/freezing or even a reboot. If you don't play a ton of games, then don't worry about having a ton of free RAM. Secondly, more lag is created by the OS needing to resart an app or service (ie Home launcher) than if it needs to kill an app to free RAM. This is why you get Home redraws which lag for a split second, because the OS has killed off the home and it is restarting it. So less free RAM generally means less lag.
PS. Android takes up space for the system and this space is not shown on the ram usage screen. This means that if you have a device that says 1gb of RAM, the free RAM may show only 600mb. Don't freak out, this is normal all devices have it though it varies depending on skinned versions of android and which android version it is using (ie ICS uses more ram than previous versions).
How to fix Android Memory Management - Android memory management has made massive steps forward from how terrible it used to be, but it is still not optimal to say the least. We can help fix this by running a script by our not so friendly XDA member Zepplinrox.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
Go to this link and read everything that you can comprehend before reading my explanation. This can be tricky and can force bootloops so make sure you back up with Nandroid.
Step Zero - Get script manager off the market. Run as root
Step One - Download the kit and the latest Supercharger Script
Step Two - Run the kit, generally on the ROMS i have tried at least, you dont need to install a new busybox or root version so skip those.
Step Three - Run the auto mode in the script or Download the automatic patcher which patches your smali files and pushes over the new services jar required for locking the home in memory. (alternatively you can do it the hard way with the smali patcher script but I dont recommend it)
Step Four - Run the script and read through things. It should make sense but ask me if you need help.
Step Five - Clean and Reboot. Sometimes it can freeze on first boot, hold vol up and power to restart. This latest script is still in testing so you may have issues but it is certainly better than the original setup.
I love the Sh1t out of supercharging and have used it for years.
Supercharging is really easy on KA17 as the services.jar is already ready to go. Just run the script which fixes oom memory settings and you are done. Dont forget to clean and reboot.
Follow-up- Run a flush engine option in the script which will then create a quick launch script in V6 supercharger directory. Put this on a schedule to run every few hours and you wont have to worry about rebooting your phone as much. Run it as superuser.
Want even less lag? - Delete any unneeded apk files either with a root explorer or Titanium Backup. This way you wont have apps you dont use fighting for memory and cpu. I delete powersaver and the exchange client as I dont use either. Other roms may have much more.
Kernel - Your kernel and kernel settings will make a huge difference in the feel of the device. I recommend XSX v6 (doesnt have crappy CWM). Set it to 1876-30 hotplug and try things out. Not every chip is the same so they all wont run great. My Hero hated the max frequencies, but my Xperia S will take all the way up to 1900 just fine. Choose a scheduler, I use deadline, but CFQ or noop are good too.
Thanks for the helpful info
Btw which setting do you use in the superscript? Aggressive, balanced etc?
does the new v6 supercharger script patch services.odex automatically? because 'im using stock .45 rom, and it is odexed which made it a lot harder to patch in the past

Use the windows patcher or there is a new auto patcher that works pretty good integrated. Check it out.
Windows Patcher for some reason doesnt work for me :/ Btw, which auto patcher are you talking abt? Is it in the script? Which number config?
Btw, if I use a deodexed ROM such as KA ROM, do I have to follow the same steps or are there fewer steps compared? Thanks

Hmm, the windows patcher works good for me. Try the ICS center in the latest version of the script. I use KA rom and have no problems. If you need to I can post an edited services.jar file, but try and see if you can get it to work yourself first.
When I try to run the script it says missing essential tables, what does that mean? Running it without root works until, it asks for root
EDIT: If it is about the starter kit, I have successfully used it

Its a root problem. What kernel and rom are you on and did you install the root version from the starter kit or not.
V6 supercharger can be a pain to deal with when you havent used it, but hang in there and I will help you with it. Once you figure it out, it is easy to do.

Its probably the stock .45 version. Stock roms can be notoriously difficult to supercharge. I use KA12 and havent had any problems beyond a couple root problems caused by the XSX version with the bad ramdisk.

I'll update my kernel soon now I'm upating my rom
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
I've installed it on my Acso S (LT26w) and don't see some difference.
My steps:
download all, copy to sdcard and prepare
path jar file via exe
run script and follow instructions
What I must to get in sum?

Sorry for ot but. Compared to KA10, how's the rom now? When trying both stock was significantly faster and more smooth for me. And do you use the ka kernel?

Help with HTC Rezound 4.0.3 VZW phone Mod

I have the HTC ReZound VZW Phone still I was able to root the phone but with S-ON
I would like to upgrade to at least 4.1 android version, but...
I read a lot of the updated roms do not support HD video or the camera app does not work right.
As I said I do not have S-OFF Feature its still in S-ON mode but its rooted.
the main reason I want to modify the phone is I don't have enough ram and my phone is very slow and laggy.
I downloaded a few apps that let me toy with swap file, but it says my stock kernel does not support creating a swap file.
So is there any standard kernels that I can use currently on my current build with out having to flash roms?
Can I use a custom kernel on my current build with out losing any of my data apps that allows me to create a swap file...
That is mainly what I'm looking for here the ability to create a swap file to have a bit more ram to work with and maybe speed up the phone.
I'm fine with the 4.0.3 version of android tho I learned most new apps made today require at least 4.1 and above.
...but with out S-OFF and reading the custom roms info. I can see the camera apps and streaming HD and such things do not work. to me that stuff is essential.
So basically what I'm asking for help is a kernal I can flash on top of my current rom that allows me to create a swap file.
Unless anyone knows of any custom roms that also allow this that has a working camera app and HD streaming etc. not any bugs.
I know this is a old phone and prob most of the dev for this phone is outdated but Its still a decent phone and I'm sure lot of work has been done with the series since then.
Any help here is much appreciated.
This should work for you.

Thank you for the reply but the site is 404 to download the kernal :/
This site can’t be reached 404
and
vp-zp.com’s server DNS address could not be found.
although the git hub seems to be online and says files are there from 3 years ago I really have no idea which files to grab or how to even use them isn't the kernel just something I download and flash threw CWM ?
Sorry, didn't think about that part. You can check out his older kernels here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=370. Can't seem to find any working mirrors for newer ones.
oh alright yeah I was able to download the Funky_Kernel_v2.1 zip
I applied it after rebooting it says "Android is upgrading... optimizing applications X of 179. "
to which after the OS boots up as it normal does...
So I'm assuming the kernel worked, but... it still says your device kernel is not swap compatible... :/

I picked this kernel specifically because it does have support as mentioned by the dev:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36124568&postcount=2502
It looks like it was on 2.1. You might try a newer one and test again. It might be the app is not compatible with how he implemented the swap part. Someone in the thread mentioned using Android Tuner for it. Not sure if that might be the trick...have not messed with swap partitions in years...
yeah it shows
[KERNEL][SENSE] Funky Kernel v4.2 Post #2502
but 4.2 is not online for me the latest i could find that worked was 2.1
hmmmm
LOL it also deleted my CWM backups.. and everything on my sdcard I just noticed well ****... looks like i'll have to make a back up of the back up for if it bricks now :/ still trying to get a swap compatible kernel too

That post was in reference to v2.1.
The A-I-O folder has newer kernels.
yea I see but 3.4 is the newest still don't see 4.2 hmmm I think 4.2 is the only version that supports swap but will find out oh **** I got my SD card working and back up in case of a brick.
I'll flash the kernel now to 3.4 its the latest I can find :/ will let u know if it supports swap tho I don't think it does.

I linked you to the point of the thread where he says he added swap. If you go back a page or two, you can see they are talking about the current version at that time, which is 2.1. So any of them after that should support. This is why I've linked to it and mentioned it.
oh I see... well I can confirm on the version I'm running now it does not support swap.
well after trying to flash kernal 3.4 it get (status 7) failed so its not working
ok ok ok
So after some time here I downloaded all the kernels on that site from version 2.0 all the way up to 3.4 and flashed from one version after another in order to what I could grab.
I think the last one that actually worked was 2.3 or 2.4 all the ones after that failed it said something about no file or dir found at tmp/something/zImage.
so I'm on a never version than 2.1 now at least. but it still is not working...
says...
your device kernel is not swap compatible.
Figure I would try and look at that Android Tuner app you was talking about I searched the market and can not find it.
so after trying every single one of Snuzzo kernels I still can not create a swap file
any Ideas?

It's since changed names: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.at.free
I find it more likely that the app you are using is not compatible with the type of swap that was implemented by the developer. I'm not really sure. It's not really a common mod anymore and very few people are still on ICS.
Yeah I get that. I would love to be on android 4.1 or above Cyanogen looks great, but... Like i previously stated that whole camera app not working as well as the recording videos and streaming hd videos bug also that would be on my phone is too dramatic as those practical applications are very important to me. Plus I do not have S-OFF
Ok update: well I'm running S-OFF now. trying out CM KK 4.4.4 so good so far as long as I don't update Google Now and the Google App. Still cant get a swap file tho weird thought I would be able to on CM at least. I havn't tried the cam so idk if it has bugs but I can stream video so far. so I can take that off my list.
