Stock android keyboard? - HTC Rezound

Is there some where I can get the stock android keyboard? I used it pretty much exclusively when I was on my D2 and I do not like the positioning of the keys on the HTC one.

There's one in the market

I just tried that and the keys are tiny. I cant seem to find a regular keyboard that has the keys the same size as the standard HTC keyboard. whats the point of having such a big screen if all you can get is a tiny keyboard for it.

Few devices have the resolution our screen has so that why. Try and pull the one from the cm9 rom

You folks need to try A.I. keyboard. It has a key that allows you to resize the keyboard on the fly. You can make the size of the keyboard as large as you want. I am very happy with it.

How would I do that?

Just a suggestion, try SwiftKey 3 Beta, it's free, it has themes that can match a lot of colors and it's the best predictive typing I've used.

Yeah I don't like swiftkey. I really don't like autocorrect at all honestly I just turn it off. Which leads to another reason I want the stock keyboard, the HTC one will not let me turn auto correct off and keep predictions on.

Best keyboard?

What do you think is the best keyboard?
Personally I think swype is overrated. Gingerbread seems to be better but still lacking. I'm using smart keyboard now bc it has a free trial. I think I would prefer better keyboard bc of the skin support out there but it has no free trial. What do y'all think?
I personally use swype, even if it does miss some words occasionally.

+1 for smart keyboard... t9 mode for simple one handed typing with swipe right for QWERTY. Plus custom smilies and skins.

Smart keyboard pro, keyboard from Gingerbread 2.3, HTC ime mod, then swiftkey imo. Swype is a great concept but it falls short for far too many reasons.

I have Smart Keyboard Pro, Swype, and the Gingerbread keyboard. I think Gingerbread is the best of the three.

It does feel a bit small, but its so much more responsive than either of the other two. I think you just have to practice it and get used to it first.
I like the fact that SlideIt predicts the words you use the most.
Although, if you want to use another word, you have to pay attention to what you're doing. Otherwise it will use the word most used automatically. But is works wonders most of the time!
I'm really digging Smart Keyboard Pro [:
The T9 mode is sweet-- great for texting with one hand
Smartkeyboard pro. I like the skin support much better, I have about 30 skins, and they aren't clogging up my app tray because the skins are just zip files that you put in a folder called "skins". Its also extremely accurate and fast.
HTC_IME.
The original HTC Sense Keyboard is my favorite.
I don't like Swype or the default Android keyboard.
this is just a question is there a htc ime keyboard that works on cm7? if so can someone send me the file.

Its been so long since I've used the HTC keyboard I cant even remember what it was like. But...
Have you tried the AOSP Gingerbread keyboard? Its actually a huge improvement over the eclair/froyo Android keyboard. Its up there with Smart Keyboard Pro. The only reason I use Smart Keyboard Pro over the Ginger keyboard is that SK has skins

Oh wow thank you so much. Other ime's were just crashing on my aria. This one works great.
I have been using swiftkey pro for a few weeks now. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to display correctly in many apps because of the aria's small screen. Sometimes the keyboard covers up the text box, especially in landscape mode.

I'm glad it works for you.
I have a "Frankenstein" setup on my phone, which combines most of the best of each ROM (Liberated and CM7).
I like the look of Sense, but I also like CM7's flexibility and other features (like built-in SIP).
I also like some of the Sense widgets (e.g., Friendstream).
So I loaded up CM7, then LP Sense UI, which makes the phone look like Sense (with widgets, too).
Adding the original keyboard makes the phone easier to use.
Have fun!

CM7 Keyboard

Everyone knows that the keyboard on CM7 is really small. However, it doesn't matter which keyboard I use, they are all the same size and its really annoying.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Set an appointment with your plastic surgeon and ask about fingertip reductions.
I voided my warranty and your mum.
Download Gingerbread Keyboard off the market.

That keyboard actually turned out to be about .5 cm smaller than the one built in (
If CM7 werent so great I would be switching to another ROM, but the keyboard isn't enough reason to abandon ship.

Try smart keyboard pro, that's what I use and you can manually adjust the size of the keys.

Thumb Keyboard pro will help u solve the problem.. im using it currently
try hacker's keyboard, free from the market.. you can adjust the size of the keys, did I mention its free..
GOKeyboard from the marketplace is a good choice too. Very customizable. A bigger stock keyboard is coming.

+1 for thumb keyboard. Also if you don't mind everything else increasing in size you can increase your pixel density resulting in a bigger keyboard.
Totally agree, found the stock small and hard to type, comparing to the galaxy s keyboard. But it has to be one with swype and portuguese support...

Ice cream sandwich keyboard

I installed the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard on my DHD, and it works perfectly. Then I installed it on my SGT 10.1, an it installs just fine but when I try to go to the settings it force closes every time. Is it not supposed to work on the SGT? Btw, I'm using Overcome 2.0.0

Just a fyi : the ice cream keyboards for lower versions than Android 4.0 don't use the sophisticated prediction model used by the ICS keyboard (which depends on 4.0 APIs). The author of the keyboard expressed it well. It is a migration of the old prediction model with the new theme and suggestion lint. It also hasn't bigram prediction.
to be honest, you're much better off getting Thumb Keyboard and using the ICS theme!
Looks great and works really well with the Tab!

What? That's so cool! Thanks
EDIT: How did you do that?

you see the three buttons horizontally at the bottom of the screen in the first screenshot and vertically in the second screenshot, those change the keyboard layout as depicted in the button image (I discovered this by accidentally tapping one and seeing the layout change!)
The additional funky thing about the "offset to right" layout is that thanks to the wonder of multitouch, you can grip the tab with any of the "black" area to the left and the keyboard will still work as normal!

Help with HTC keyboard

Ok so basically I hate the HTC keyboard, but I love the size. I dont like the layout. Problem is any other keyboard I try on the Rezound is tiny by comparison and I just can type comfortable on them. So Im trying to find a way to basically take say the stock ICS keyboard and make those keys the same size.
Think anyone can help me with that or at least point me int he right direction?

Use swiftkey keyboard
Oh god I cant see why you would want to. I couldnt stand the stock keyboard. Went back to swype asap. Swiftkey is also good.
Hi, does anybody know how to create shortcuts on the G5? not sure if it's marshmallow that doesn't have this functionality or if it's LG
I'm also using swiftkey btw
Edit: I recently discovered textpand which I'm using to get around the lack of shortcuts on SwiftKey, works quite well https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
I like the keyboard on the g5. Swype is good too but for some reason I like the design and layout of the stock key board. So does anyone have an apk for it by chance?
The Blackberry keyboard is the best! You have to try it guys.
I prefer the TouchPal keyboard

Google Keyboard. I want to like SwiftKey but it just feels laggy. The menus are laggy and thr letter preview stays too long.. Everything feels slow with it. Google is perfect and LG isnt too bad too.

i would like it too, used to use g3 keyboard but as my device is based on marshmallow now i cant use g3 anymore
I would also like it.
All the replacement apps are pants. Google keyboard is by far the best of the pretenders but swyping on it is laggy.
LG keyboard is flawless and corrects perfectly when setup properly.
Could do with it for another phone, but doubt anyone will have it.

Might work? http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/blackb...y-keyboard-1-0-1-3168-4-android-apk-download/
How come there are no suggestions in Google Now search and some other in-app searches? I doubt there is something to configure user-side for that kind of permission
I would also like to install LG keyboad in my N phone (non-lg).. I like the swype cursor feature on the space bar (gboard has it, but I don't like google apps!)
please can somebody port it? thanks!
