Hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone had a step by step video or tutorial on how to add a spinner to the action bar of an app. I looked everywhere online for at least 2 hours with no step by step tutorials. I also looked on the Android Developers site and that got me closer, but i still didn't get it. I am very very new to developing android apps and it would be very much appreciated if someone could help me. Basically i have four main screens on my app. Their names are "Mobs," "Animals," "Mods," "Updates." I want to be able to click the title of my app from ANYWHERE inside the app, and be able to have those for options drop down. When they are clicked, i want it to take me to the corresponding screen. Any help is appreciated thanks guys.
A better way might include using a viewflow with a title page i can help out later tonight when i get home

Sorry but i have NO idea what a viewflow is or how to make a titlepage. Im like completely clueless. Ive managed to get listviews working which is a major plus for me and my next step is having this spinner in the action bar. That would be AMAZING. Anyway hope u can help
I think you can add a custom view to the ActionBar, right? Make an xml for the spinner

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab as well as a ThunderBolt. This file works great on my Galaxy Tab. Could someone make something like this for our annoying button backlights?
Wrong section, try the screen filter app

Your not going to get something by demanding it
This is why a whole bunch of people left xda because people like u expect then to do everything for u

This is in the wrong section, but to be fair, I don't believe the OP is demanding anything.

And we need you to post in the correct section.
This is obviously a question because of the [Q] in the thread title, but somehow you decide it shouldn't be in the Q&A forum, but the development forum...
Let me start off by saying I love this ROM. The problem is, I am hooked on tablet mode. I tried changing under the ROM controls to 213 (tablet mode) and everything works great minus the system Ui closing. So there is no status bar, and power button features dissapear.
I tried searching on Google and these forms. Its probably a simple answer that I overlooked. Thanks for any help

That's the way it has always been that I can remembered..etc
isn't funny how "some" of the threads in that DEV forum is now a NO-NO place for Q&A ?? even to a point of the thread(s) get closed ...
Haha I thought it was weird that there was no q an a for thus ROM. I didn't want to get yelled at. Thanks for the tip .

I will post your question there, just monitor bigfau thread for your answer, I know the answer but it is better for bigfau to provide the answer to ensure you get the correct answer.
Thanks Joe. Just post in the thread. We all help one another there with no fighting or b*thing

I knew the Advanced Power menu didn't work below 213. I never modded it for tablet mode. The tablet mode that was in VI is not in VII.That's more than likely why your status bar disappears. Im still working out new toggles with tablet mode.

is a request for an app, not a question. its actually more acurrate to put it in this forum instead of the Q and A forum cause its requesting an app and look at how quickly someone replied to it. but its w/e someone got on it and thats all i give a **** about.
Hope this is okay for you buddy...

Hey guys can anyone give me a hand putting together a walk-through for accomplishing the mentioned MOD in the thread title? I'd like to be able to skip music tracks without using the phone's screen... I've searched our forums and couldn't find anything. I also searched other forums for a generic walk-through but it seems that it could result in a bootloop or brick if I use another device's method. I'm running a stock T-Mobile LG P769 20f, rooted with CWM installed, obviously with a locked bootloader. Is this even possible with the stock ROM/kernel? Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
PS: I also use the stock music app...
The stock ROMs lockscreen doesn't even support music widgets, I'm not sure if it's possible in stock
Look into xposed framework. It supports what you are looking for. Or you re good at smali coding, then I also have got a good site for you, if I am still able to find it

I found that in my search, I was hoping to find an alternate method. .. I'm not at all familiar with smali coding, but I'm intrigued. If all else fails I'll end up trying the xposed framework thread I found, I'll post a link to said thread plus my results with it as well for others who might be interested. Thanks for the input!

My G2 hates XDA. Chrome reloads the page with literally every touch. Impossible to navigate. The App won't load images and force closes all the damn time. Consistent across three wipes and ROMs.

This happens to me on every device and Chrome, the trick is to change the forum theme to XDA 2013 Beta - 1024 not just XDA 2013 Beta
