[Q] Rom request for HTC Ruby... - HTC Amaze 4G

Can a developer here make a 3.6 Sense Rom and add Beasts Audio and a 5x5 app tray using the newly leaked ICS for the HTC Amaze 4G?

You should ask heyjoe from one good Rom. He usually likes taking request. He can possibly make it into an extra add on mod

if you sign in to HTC sence there are a few skins you can download
I haven't messed with sense since it was new on the Hero but from what I remember, creating flashable themes wasn't possible and always seemed to resolve to bootloops. So what I used to do was repackage the entire ROM themed. I might give it a go with this one but I'm not sure if I can flash without wiping yet. If so, I just might make a few.
If you're talking about those downloadable skins you get thru the HTC Hub then idk. I haven't looked into making those yet. HTC did just release an SDK though =)
Well Its possible, well for sense 2.1 at least, there is a thread on here with a butt load of apk themes for sense 2.1, you jst install the one u want and select it, and then just delete it if u don't like it. I guess no one has really messed with 3.0 sense themes yet.

[idea]kernel/mod/tweaks>rom

First of all I really appreciate all devs there who make our devices better. However, I would like too see more KERNEL and MOD release over a whole ROM, for example an OC KERNEL, a Beats MOD, an Amaze camera MOD, an SD card TWEAK,... rather than a whole ROM having its own app collection and tweaks because, some stock apps might be useless, they could be useful for certain people. I would rather apply MOD or TWEAKS one by one to better fit my usage.
Just my two cents

Yes we all want that. It's much easier said than done. I've tried to make a ROM for my milestone and I flopped. Having a load of tweaks running around won't work. U are bound to hit compatibility issues
P.s this should go in q&a or general.

Q&a it should be...
The above would make custom ROMs fairly pointless imo, you would simply need a stock rooted ROM & a bunch of mods under the theams and apps section just my 2c

Moving to Q&A
You are very correct. For those who are willing to spend enough time and heart on their device, yes. But for those who dont have enough time, knowledge, or more importantly courage, a complete ROM maybe better.

Eternity stock would be your rom then. Or mikrom

Agreed, reminds me of when i had my palm pre rooted. There was an app called preware that contained all the mods and tweaks. There were hundreds. It was awesome. And it was all ota so I could mod on the fly. Something along the same lines would be great.

Port of Galaxy SII theme?

My friend just got the Epic 4g (galaxy s2) and noticed the theme was not stock. It looks pretty damn good and wondering if there is a name for it (like sense, motoblur, etc ) and do we have a port for it??
I did a search but couldn't find anything on the xda app.
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D using XDA App
It's called TouchWiz. I'm not sure if you can find it for a regular Sense-based ROM, but if you were to ever make the jump to MIUI, there's a theme you can download that's based on it.
Funny. I am on miui what is the theme called?
Edit: I found it. Thank you.

[POLL] Bulletproof vs BeastMOD

Since I can't decide on which one to use.. im gonna make a poll.
They are both great.. I just cant decide.
I hope Xboarder56 doesn't mind.
Try em both that's what I did. And I have to say I llike both of them. Lol

Is poll threads the new trend? If u like sense go with bulletproof if u like aosp go with bestmod. Idnt see how the results of this poll will influence your choice.
Lol I started the whole poll thing!
Beastmod is Aosp like and has a very good battery life. I used one of the older versions of it and it was very good. However, bulletproof is whole sense with tweaks added, I've been using it since it was released and it is very very good. Whether you prefer Aosp or sense just like my poll lol

They're both excellent and speedy ROMs. I had BulletProof as my daily driver for a while as well as BeastMOD and you can't go wrong with either. If you like the Sense eye-candy, then by all means, BulletProof is for you, but if you don't care much for Sense and would rather save some battery life and RAM, then BeastMOD is what you want.
How about both

How sweet would a dual boot be?! Haha Being able to select what rom to use while Keeping the sys files intact
Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G using XDA App
It depends on your taste, I like a sense rom so I use Bliss but if i did use a 3.0 it would be Bulletproof plus you have that beats audio on it so its an up if you like music. You also have a very customizable UI its a rom you can really personalize in my opinion.

Question about porting Rom features

When I had my original evo, there were some roms that had features of another phones is. One room I flashed had landscape rosy. Would it be possible to integrate the hand scroll from the S4 into a Rom for another phone. Our could a HTC sense rom be ported to a non htc phone.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Well the second one of porting a sense rom to a non htc phone is possible because it has been done with the s3 but I am not sure about the other one due to there might be things that are needed specifically for it to work properly.
